Info:

I recently purchased this car as my daily driver to and from work as i was sick of driving the r32 onto work sites and also the cost of fuel and maintenance was killing me!! I spent ages looking for a good condition corona which was manual and i finally found one not too long ago. Drove all the way up to Woori Yallock to test drive it and then came back the next day to pay for it and pick it up because i liked it so much. It drives amazingly, gearbox is smooth, gears dont crunch, engine feels very strong, and overall condition is very good.

Reason for Sale:

Bought this car for me to use to drive to work, but mainly it was for my dad to drive around when he came back from overseas in September until he bought a new car. Just found out that he isnt coming back until after Christmas so i cannot afford to keep it for all that time so i unfortunatley have to sell.

Good Parts:

The body is in excellent conditon, very straight, has the occasional pin dent but this is to be expected on an old car.

Interior is in great condition also, no cracks in the dash or rips in the seats.

15X7 BBS Meshies included with Bridgestone front tyres 80% and Yokohoma rear tyres 60%

Car come with Heaps of receipts, even comes with the original purchase receipt from Andersons Toyota in Mt Waverley

-Removal of gearbox, strip, clean, and inspect/replace parts as required 3/02/00

-Replace Clutch Assembly 03/02/00

-Carby Overhauled 22/04/98

-New Master Cylinder

-New Heating system

-Reconditioned Altenator

Pioneer CD Player and 6" rear pioneer speakers installed.

Car drives very smooth, suspension alligned

4 Wheel disc brakes

Central Locking

Air Conditioning

Tow Bar and Trailer Light Cable

SAAS Woodgrain Steering Wheel (Stock also included)

Gregory's Manual included

Bad Points:

Cracks in the paint on the front and rear bumpers and a couple of light scuffs as well. These are nothing to worry about but i thought i might add them as well just so you know.

    • I’d love to find some where that can recover the dashes to look brand new and original. Mine has a very slight bubble, nothing compared to some I’ve seen though
    • $170K. I asked one of the guys there as a joke if that price was just for the passenger seat as it was where the price sheet was... he tried really hard to crack a smile 😄 He also mentioned that every single part of the car was inspected and either restored or replaced with a new or as new part, or made from scratch. The interior was incredible, every inch like a new car.
    • Time for a modernisation, throw out the AFM, stock O2s, ECU into the e-waste bin. Rip out the cable throttle, IACV, pedal, etc. into the scrap metal bin. DBW, e-throttle, modern ECU, CANbus wideband, and the thing will drive better than when it left the factory.
    • I agree, don't go trusting those trims. As I said, first step is to put the logger away, and do the basics in diagnosis.   I spend plenty of time with data loggers. I also spend plenty of time teaching "technicians" why they need to stop using their data loggers, and learn real diagnostics.   The amount of data logs I play with would probably blow most people away. I don't just use it to diagnose. I log raw CAN data too, as a nice chunk of my job is reverse engineering what automotive manufacturers are doing.
    • I'm aware, but unless you're actually seeing the voltage the ECU is seeing and you're able to verify the sensors are actually working I find it hard to just trust STFT/LTFT. I will say, logging the ECU comes naturally to me because it's one of the lowest effort methods of diagnosis and I do similar things in my day job all the time. Staring at 20+ charts looking for something that isn't quite right isn't for everyone. NDS1 allows you to log almost everything so that's normally what I do and then sort out the data later.
