Hi guys, new to the forum so im not sure if this i'm in the right spot but i really need some help!

First of all i live in QLD and Ive just bought a 1992 R32 GTS-T. As i am still a p-plater i need to apply for an exemption and to do so i need a document from Nissan to prove the original manufacturers specs of the Power output and the Kerb Weight of the vehicle.

As its imported the owners manual is in Japanese, and Nissan Australia said they cant help.

Anyway if anyone has some legitimate data from Nissan i can use, or know's someone who has gone through this process that can help it would be much appreciated!

Thanks guys

Why didn't you just buy a car you could legally drive? Why do you think that the restrictions shouldn't apply to you?

Sorry for snapping, but there have been a few of these types of threads popping up lately, so the whole "how can i use a loop hole to let me drive a car I'm not supposed to" thing is getting a bit old. And i also have a mate who is going to try for an exemption as well, just because he is a jdm fanboi and rather than fix a few minor issues with his current non jdm, fwd car that is fine for driving through the city in peak hour traffic, he wants to spend a heap of money (well a few grand, so he will be looking at the very low end of the import market) on something jdm, shit handling (he wants something dropped stupidly low so it will bounce off the road on a rough corner) with stupid offset wheels, and rwd (cause rwd handles soooo much better at 15kmh in peak hour city traffic). So my tolerance for this sort of thing is long gone

Email Nissan Japan on this address: [email protected]

Dont worry, they speak English but remember to put your JDM VIN (not the Aus complied one) and tell them you would like to know the weight and power of your car. Put your full name at the bottom of the email cause they will put all this in a PDF file with a Nissan Letterhead and signed by a Nissan representative all in English.

I did mine for my S13 and they replied within 24 hours !
