Yeah i dont have a timing light, so i guess ill go down to my mechanics and have them check it out, So its definatly my timing thats out through the cas, is that what you's are saying?

Im sure i did, because i found that it only goes in 1 way. If it doesnt go in that way it doesnt go in at all. Am i right?

Hey guys, after my water pump started leaking i went and bought a new pump and thought id put it in myself, as it didn't look that hard to do. I stripped everything to the crankshaft pulley, took all the belts off without touching the cams so the timing wasn't going to be touched. Everything was fine, replaced the water pump without problems and put everything back the way i took it off. So when i started the car, it seemed to be fine, idled well and everything was normal, until i took it out for a drive...it felt so sluggish in every gear, its as if the power was stripped off me! It sounded fine though, no knocking or pinging, just had no power. I run a safcII and my usual readings with knk sensor is 30 or so with full boost, when i ran it yesterday, it read over 220. Whats going on, could it be the timing? Im clueless to this situation, any ideas on what i would have done wrong. What could i do to fix it? Any suggestions would be much appreciated.. Your best option for colder air induction would be to open up a hole right under your pod and grab a pipe that bends out to your front bar. I just opened up my hole to a 100mm and directed a 125mm pipe straight to my hole in the front bar, so it rams cold air straight in my box packed and ready for the pod to suck up. If you'd like, i could take some pics of how i did it to give you a better idea?

i used the tin snips, i found it was easier around corners etc, just follow ur lines. Then when its cut out, any bends that u may have caused on the corner cuts, just hammer it down with a rubber mallet or sumthin.

MunkybOy- yea i guess itll be a little better but doesnt look all that great. Looks so much better hidden. Still keeps it reasonably cool on the inside though. After a long drive the other day which was like 40degrees, i took the box off and sussed out the heat of the pod and the temp of the inside of the box. The outside of the box was hot but the inside was only slightly warm, not enough to have heat extracting from it though.

Yea its great, Ive just opened my cai to a 100mm hole and my pod is sitting right above it, so its gathering a shit load of cold air. i feel its more responsive in mid range but nothing to dramatic, but its good to know that its sucking cold air from outside and not engine heat. geraus- if you read through my 1st post it gives a brief way of how i made mine but if u want full details i got mine from the link i provided on the top my page. RusH_- the rubber edging stuff cost about $7 for a foot at clarks rubber. R-SPEC- I struggled to find time for mine let alone urs mate, lol. yea ended up changing my mind, the other cooler fell through, so im going to hold onto this for a couple more months as im not in no rush atm.

i had a good night Monday, use are all top blokes it was my 1st west meet so it was good to meet a bunch of liners that live in my area. Might pop in for a couple hours on the Wednesday meet. Steve.
