  1. you can buy the pontiac front as a factory option when you buy a new holden (I have been told) I reckon it looks ugly and goes in the same category of chevy badges.
  2. haha sounds awesome. Good job
  3. bahaha the days of our lives - SAU Wasteland edition.
  4. thats real nifty! Should write up a tutorial on how to do this modification. Although, anyone not knowing the modification has been done will be freaking out that it sitting just above the Cold indicator haha. My car cruises on 78-84deg so it would be hovering just above the C mark haha Cars cold start switches at 65degrees, so the gauge wont reflect that as it wont move after 75deg.
  5. nice. If anyone wanted to earn big bucks they would move to the mining industry. Those guys are handing out shitloads of dollars. Got a couple of friends who work on oil rigs. One of them did 84 days straight. Pays a heap but not an easy life doing 12hrs everyday and stuck on an oil rig
  6. saw you drive past on lygon street. Saw a r33 with proper offset and knew it had to be you haha
  7. $95,000 TGR with benefits. Wouldnt be complaining either What would the industry average be then?
  8. mo' money mo' problems On another note, here are pics of the 599XX i saw at the Ferrari Museum and an epic car being loaded off a trailer in the museum.
  9. lol wasnt a burn, just an observation and dont worry about my house situation buddy, things are in the works +1, if you know how to correctly rev-match its no different to heel-toeing. You still making as much noise as heel-toeing just applying brakes instead of coasting between rev matching. we all in agreement, so whats the problem?
  10. lol @ being lectured by the two people who sold up their skylines and driving dailys. No one said its needed but if there are opportunities on the road to practice so you arent a total noob on the track then why not? Not hurting anyone or breaking any laws, just improving your skill. So Shan you think its best to just ride through the gears and syncros cause thats how they built it? Why wear out the syncros (on an already 18yr+ gearbox) and jerk the car during down shifts? Id like to go through a corner without sitting in neutral like a noob or shifting midway or on exit. Its natural habit anyways, but probably not for hardparking golfs
  11. brain hurts. The stock turbo runs out of puff at like 6000rpm. There is no need to rev past that as you are actually losing power and better to change gears.
  12. haha lol why is everyone making heel-toeing sounding like its some hardcore shit like left food braking?? You slowing down for a corner/traffic light and whilst breaking you rev match for the right gear. Why would I ride the gears like a noob who loves teh chapel street? haha true that. Although the kit i linked is cheaper than the price of r33 gtr brembos the jokers are asking for.

  14. lol nfi, thats the only pics i stumbled across. Apparently he did it in order to have the ultimate handling for his r32 gtr.
  15. hmm r33 rear subframe + kaaz 1.5way diff sounds like a $2k~ project ~_~
  16. http://gtrusa.blogspot.com/2007/03/r32-active-diff.html R32 with R34 front and rear subframe O_o Active diff and all
  17. hmm fair go, will look into diffs
  18. probably cause the r32 has to always be in the right rev range & gear to be able to move anywhere

Car & Driver did a test a few years ago ...Test Car was a WRX (US Spec which only uses two piston sliding caliper, not as good as Nissan 4 spot or later Model WRX 4 pots) So tested kits were, std car, std car with upgraded pads and fluid, Brembo F50 Kit, Brembo Lotus Kit (Similar to as fitted to GTRs, 44/38mm pistons), Stoptech it and Prodrive Kit (Alcon) Stopping Distances 70mph - 0 , 3 Stop Brembo F50;_____________ 185 / 183 (Average / Best) Brembo Lotus; ______________ 200 / 196 Prodrive; __________________ 198 / 194 StopTech;__________________ 187 / 186 Stock; ____________________ 205 / 196 Stck with pads and fluid; ____187 / 184 The above figures are all in feet, one stop difference between pad and fluid upgrade to crappy sliding caliper brake setup and massive Brembos is 1 ft...lol 30cms And over 3 stops the average is 2 ft...lol 60cms So you can see the one stop max of the upgraded pads and fluid is damn good when you consider the $$$ to % difference. 20. Been weighing up getting a 1.5way diff or r33 gtr brakes on the car. Which to do....
  21. ??? how else do you drive around? I heel/toe for daily driving.
  22. nooo get a return feed intercooler. You will need to chop a hole under the battery tray to pass the piping through. Thats illegal in Victoria (not sure of the laws in QLD)
  23. haha and yet Grant whinges about the temperature not staying on the climate control display
  24. DC2R > N/A Skyline and will give your turbo skyline a run for its money through the twisties. Their power/weight ratio is 130kw/tonne, more than the r32 coupe gtst (125.1kw/tonne)
