yep drove the diesel jetta. Cant remember engine size, was a rental. It was actually pretty good. Had a lot of torque (being a diesel) and was quite quick. Fuel consumption was awesome too.

lol what do you think myself and the mechanic did? You cant tell a turbo bearing has a flat spot by free spinning it. The flat spot was smaller than a pin-head and the turbo rebuilder had to show me where it was once it was pulled apart. It only takes a spec of dirt etc to create a flat spot, and its not going to affect the spinning or play of the turbo. Only once its running on the car you can clearly hear the sound

and how do you know its in 'good condition' before whacking it into a motor? I bought a hks2530 off yahoo auctions. Came in its original box and manual. No shaft play and looked good as new. Whacked it on the car, started it up and all you could hear was bearings screaching. Rebuild revealed a flat spot on the bearing. Luckily cost of turbo + rebuild was still cheaper than the price muppets sell them here for

make sure to send it in as a registered letter. You wont hear back for a couple of weeks. Provide proof that you are overseas at this time etc

hicas is not the same as honda preludes 4wheel steer you noob. Hicas only moves +/- 1 degree at speeds over 80km/h If you see a bar like this, then the hicas has been removed and replaced with the bar.

GTR pump or a Bosch 040. Search the forums for installation guide for the 040.

I have heard that it messes with the hicas, because what you have done is cut the speed sensor wire to the ecu. So the ecu doesnt know what speed you doing. Steering wheel hasnt felt heavier? (someone clarify this)

Its the AFM and you cant just swap any AFM onto the r32 and assume it will work. RB20 AFM works on RB20 engine. Anything else will need a retune. (ie. z32 afm)

Mine was rebuilt through Revzone in Ringwood. Obviously they didnt do it, but had contact which did it cheaper than any steering rack mob I called from the yellow pages. Give Revzone a call on 98700540 and let them know that Patrick (r32 gtst) had his steering rack rebuilt at your place. They'll point you in the right direction.

bahahahaha +1 to that and to add to that. GT5 has 1989 and 1991 R32 GTST (along with the R32 GTS25) No mention of r33 gtst in the game?
