  1. +53 holy shit, i seriously doubt you will fit them on! The factory offset is like +38... (need to be confirmed)
  2. My r32 has this too! Never knew r33's came with it? Car also came with an outline of an air purifier on the parcel shelf and some fan setting buttons near the steering wheel. Guess it was ripped out in Japan before i got it.
  3. This better http://nissansilvia.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=416010
  4. http://nissansilvia.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=317763 PM this guy what you are after. If you talking about replacing the whole subframe bush, that would involve lowering the subframe to get them out. Talk to Traction Tyres in rowville. http://www.tractiontyres.com.au/
  5. Thanks for that, shot a few emails around. Hopefully get some results.
  6. Thanks for that, would you happen to have any contact information regarding the full emission testing? and who your engineer was? Cheers
  7. yeah i know it aint done by engineer. Looking for more info regarding who does it and how much they charge etc. Doesnt hurt to do some research as the same info can be applied to any modified car.
  8. Thanks all for the tips. Im mainly interested in getting larger injectors. However this would involve an ecu map to handle the larger injectors, and under the EPA guidelines is acceptable as long as it cant be re-programed and meets ADR. (Replace eprom chip in ecu) So regarding the above, im assuming the engineering process would involve a full emission testing which would be the same process for a large turbo and exhaust? So that would mean all mods could be emission tested at same time? Any information regarding full emission certification would be greatly appreciated. Also what are the engineering laws about increased power vs braking? Usually with an engine conversion you upgrade to the brakes off the car the engine came from? So how would it work with just increase in power? Is there some ratio which needs to be met etc? Thanks
  9. Thanks mate! too low? It looks fine to me? Sydneykid has mentioned that the best height for handling in a r32 is 350mm from centre of rim to guard i think. It looks like that in the photo already?
  10. cool story bro.
  11. nah talking about engineering the car for the modifications it has on it. Does the certificate state what exactly has been approved and tested? Or is it just a generic cert saying car is certified. If someone was going down the path of engineering, they would have put all the mods on first and then spent the money, so i think its a bit uncommon to upgrade after all the time/effort has been spent to get the cert? Wondering if anyone has engineered modifications for their car in victoria.
  12. Has anyone had any experience about VASS engineering certificates? Doing some research. Have heard heresay about them only lasting 30 days, but the only info I can find is that Vicroads will only accept them if they are less than 30 days old! No mention of them expiring once Vicroads has received the VASS cert. he more direct info the better, no BS hearsay about the rules. Thank you <3
  13. fucking hell. EPA full emission and noise letter came in the fkn mail. Due Date 8th September. Sucks arse The world seems to balance it self out, on one hand im flying business class to Ireland/Germany/Poland for work and then this EPA bullshit is due whilst im overseas. If fail EPA test, retest fee is $39.40. No mention of fine if fail, so I guess thats okay Going to write a letter and see what my options are... FML Try to do everything by the book and an arrogant pig has to fuck it all up with a bleed valve. /Ragequit
  14. yes it needs to be lowered on the back Need motivation and spring compressors to change the circlip setting haha Dont mind the xr6 and the supercharged commo
  15. lol how long would that have taken him to reach that speed?
  16. haha, my old man has a jaycar trade card but they only offer discount when spend over $20 Which place you shop at?
  17. blade fuse (with no led) - $1.00 bullet connector - $3.50 Throw in the wire, rubber cover, led and crimping/soldering the whole lot for extra $3.00 (jaycar prices) or $7.00 for it all assembled and save myself 15-30mins? Make me up another one for under $7.00 and ill buy it. Better for me.
  18. haha i paid for the convinience. The led and wire are soldered into the plastic housing not on the prongs ontop of the fuse + the bullet connector.
  19. For anyone interested in quick wiring. Used one of these for wiring up my thermofan controller. Has a LED on the fuse too, so if it blows you can see. Quick easy way of wiring up power etc without splicing etc. http://jaycar.com.au/productView.asp?ID=SF...mp;form=KEYWORD
  20. thanks guys for the help. Hopefully a certain letter wont show up in the mailbox, else ill be contacting
  21. I got a rb20 ignition module somewhere. Double check if they work for r33 series 1's (I think they do, cause we share the same coilpacks) Let us know.
  22. hmm bummer
  23. Also scanning over the EPA doc; http://epanote2.epa.vic.gov.au/EPA/Publica...6;FILE/1031.pdf Only mention of aftermarket turbo is below: What if it isnt a turbocharge kit incl intercooler? Being a 20yr old car, obviously brand new factory replacements can be argued as not available and hence an aftermarket replacement has to be fitted? Also: This i believe is referring to fitting an aftermarket EFI system onto a carby engine. There is no mention of aftermarket injectors not allowed only mention of larger/extra injectors. So this means that bosch/denso equivelent injectors can be fitted so long as they arent larger. How can EPA check the size of the injectors anyways? hmmmmmmmmmm
  24. So when going to an EPA inspection, arent you demonstrating that it meets/exceeds emission requirements and achieving ADR? It doesnt say that it must be ADR certified, just that it can meet it? Having Nistune would mean it is sealed and cant be reprogrammed without a license. Sounds plausable?
  25. yeah autobarn. You apply the liquid onto the rubber. Let it rest for a minute or so. Then buff it into the rubber. Crucial to let it rest for a minute or so, get best results that way. It does create streaks on windows/paint work. Can be removed wth Mothers Showtime
