that GTR suggestion of yours Funky is giving me some bad ideas! A nice white 1994 R32 GTR. Can gut out all my r32 gtst parts and transfer them to the gtr! (coilpacks, injectors, radiator, thermofan) http://www.j-spec.com.au/featured/1994-Nis..._GTR-14853.html

haha is that 7x r32 gtst's lined up so far? r33's too busy posing /hides

noob question, what was stuck on with duct tape to a bunch of cars? Just under the door was some box covered in duct tape? Show it on a bunch of cars. Is it some data logger?

I contacted PowerPlus fuels ( http://www.powerplusfuel.com.au/racing-fuels.php ) if they can supply a 50:50 blend of Methanol/Water or a high quality methylated spirit (98% ethanol + 2% methanol) The ceo emailed me saying they can provide either blend in 20Ltr or 200Ltr drums! I'll be emailing to ask about costs. This is great news! No hazchem suit for me when dealing with 100% methanol!

oh f**k yeah! powerplus fuels can provide me with 50:50 blend of water/methanol! or methylated spirits (98% ethanol + 2%methanol) No hazchem suit for me!

oh btw, jaycar is having a stocktake sale. Their savings are huge! Picked up a 2channel 80wRMS amplifier - Usually $155, now $69 O_o Springvale is sold out, but cheltenham had one left.

haha tell me about it! Im in too deep to sell up now, would be a lot of money wasted haha. 200k service done and everything else pretty much replaced, should last me to 300k Biggest pain was my rebuilt brake master cylinder decided to leak (after 2yrs). So ended up buying a brand newie

I just fit in a 52mm radiator and had no room either. Only had 6.5cm to play with. I bought the slimmest thermofan on the market: http://www.frsport.com/Flex-A-Lite-410-420...FM_p_12555.html The thermofan got in the way of the power steering pump lines. So had to get an angle put in and route the piping to the right of the pump, instead of them going infront of the pulley. (hope that makes sense) I'll have pictures up in a couple of days.

200k service parts (water pump, timing belt, thermostat, bearings, fuel filter) - $530 Adjustable cam gears - $120 Radiator - $200 Brake master cylinder - $260 Thermo fan + controller - $650 Sard 550cc injectors - $630 Labour (retune, installation of parts, gtr injector cleaning & testing) - $2000 Total: $4390 f**k, no wonder im poor, blew a shit load this month haha

Went down for a look. That lambo was awesome, need to start up an air-conditioning company me thinks Not a lot of skylines there? Where be all of you!

Aquamist seem to know what they are doing so have no doubts in their pump selection. Send an email to howerton engineering and ask them, they are really helpful. 60Ltr fuel tank 10% = 6Ltr of water/methanol required 50:50 ratio of methanol and water = 3Ltrs of methanol & 3 ltrs of water required per 60Ltrs of fuel Assume 60Ltrs fuel consumption per week (month = 4 weeks~) 4*3 = 12Ltrs of methanol required per month So 20Ltrs should last you about 2 months, depending how you drive ofcourse. If its sealed properly with no way of water entering. (methanol absorbs water, so once you mix water and meth, you will have less volume than you started off with due to the absorption) So keep it sealed properly and it should be fine.

If you have space, fit in an Ford Falcon AU thermofan+shroud. They about 12cm thick. Pull about 3000-4000cfm of air. Most common thermo setup on any modified car. Google it and you will see it being used on v8 kingswoods to silvias.

haha good luck to you sir! but i guess you on holidays now? so should be reasonable to get it done in time!

sweet, gonna come down for a watch tomorrow! Anyone know the times cars will be running? Also, whats the official name of the event if security gets nosey? Cheers

my rebuilt brake master cylinder decided to spill all its contents New brake master cylinder being installed next week and hopefully I'll get the thermo-fan controller wired in!! Always a rush to get the car ready for events haha

HSF-6 is overkill, the HSF-3 is more than plenty. (and cheaper too) I paid $44USD for shipping from http://howertonengineering.com/

100% biodiesel sounds like homebrew (old cooking oil) and as you can see from the report (not mine btw, found it on the internet) there is a noticeable power loss and fuel consumption. If the person is running a commercially available B20 blend, I can not see how it can cause any extended wear as research indicates a much better lubrication and engine life. Running 100% is silly, it would turn into a sludge on cold days. 20% is the ideal, shudder running 100% haha. but yeah my biodiesel days ended back in 2008, im sure the professor I mentioned above would have a lot more information and possibly a root cause to your observations. Feel free to contact him, he will be more than happy to throw in his 2cents.

The pump being on is exactly the same as your fuel pump. It is always on and providing constant pressure in the water lines. The controller then opens the nozzle depending how much to spray in. Just how fuel injectors work. Snow Performance and others, have pumps which only turn on when they are activated. That means when it turns off, you will get dribbling of water into your intake due to no more pressure creating the atomizing spray. (refer to the 2 vids i posted earlier) The hsf3 costs about $650USD compared to the other systems selling for $300USD. I took the plunge and bought one, its been sitting in its box for 3 months!

http://www.vicroads.vic.gov.au/Home/Safety...ivingLights.htm unfortunately the cop is right, they should only turn on with high-beams, not with your regular lights

More info can be found here; http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1413320 http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1393721 The differences between a PWM -V system (same as OE fuel injection system) and PPS system (Progressive Pump Speed). Who manufactures what? - Devilsown, Snow, Coolingmist and Labonte make PPS systems. - Aquamist and FJO are the only manufacturer making the PWM-V system. Delivery method: - PPS system: controls flow by changing pump speed. - PWM-V system: controls flow by pulsing an inline valve (same principle as the OE fuel injection system) How a PWM-V system operates:

Methanol can be purchased from any race fuel shop, problem is 100% methanol is very toxic to touch, breath, drink 50:50 water/methanol is safe to handle but im still trying to find someone who sells a pre-mix solution. In the U.S people use window washer fluid because thats made of water, methanol and blue dye. Have been looking around autobarn etc but cant seem to find any window washer fluid which states the contents. Another option is water/ethanol, but ethanol has high tax. Another option is methylated spiitrs (98% ethanol 2% methanol) but there is usually other additives added so its risky to use unless you know for certain what has been added. Ideally you would want a storage tank of 10% of your fuel tank. So a 6Ltr~ water/methanol tank will keep you going for 1 tank of petrol. Obviously depending how you drive. Proper tanks with baffling and anti-slush setups must be investigated to stop any starvation. The aquamist hsf-3 comes with a Flow meter. If it detects zero flow, the system turns into safe mode and can be wired to ground your boost controller etc. Video of a tank with baffle; http://howertonengineering.com/Tech%20Info...Eng_Baffles.MOV Sumped tank; http://www.alcohol-injection.com/2-5-gallo...d-tank-346.html
