  1. The best system on the market is the Aquamist HSF-3 - http://howertonengineering.com/Aquamist_hfs3.html Currently have one sitting next to me, will be installed soon i promise!!! What makes it different to other water-methanol injection setups is that it is the first reasonable priced PWM-valve delivery system. Meaning, the pump keeps a constant pressure of 160psi in the lines and the nozzle opens and closes to spray into the engine. (works exactly like a fuel injector system) Majority of other systems on the market operate by the pump turning on to spray. This causes an uneven spray pattern and poor atomisation due to the low pressure in the lines. The HSF-3 system also controls amount of spray by injector duty cycle which is far more accurate as boost controlled sprayers tend to spray less at top end. (Because boost always tapers off at high revs when you should be spraying more!) Typical Pump on/off spray system: http://s1013.photobucket.com/albums/af255/...rrent=PPS-S.flv Aquamist PWM spray system: http://s1013.photobucket.com/albums/af255/...rrent=PWM-V.flv Cons are it is one of the more expensive systems on the market but definitely worth the cost
  2. lol im sorry Im not wrong. I did a project at university regarding the use of biodiesel with the head professor of combustion at Monash University. info here; http://www.monash.edu/research/directory/?...uery=0000036169 But I guess I should tell him he is wrong about biodiesel If you bothered to google "Biodiesel lubrication" you will see that biodiesel is a much better lubricator than regular diesel. Here is a very simple explanation: http://www.wisegeek.com/what-is-biodiesel-fuel.htm "Biodiesel is a much better lubricant than petro-diesel and extends engine life -- even a small amount of biodiesel means cleaner emissions and better engine lubrication: 1% biodiesel added to petro-diesel will increase lubricity by 65%." - http://journeytoforever.org/biodiesel.html Biodiesel cleans out all the crap in the fuel system, so that is causing your problems, not lubrication problems. Here is some info about the crap and maintenance - http://alternativefuels.about.com/od/gener...iodiesmaint.htm Also attached is a thesis regarding engine testing with bio-diesel. Biodiesel_20Engine_20Testing.pdf If you still have doubts, you can email the Doctor of combustion and you can kindly hear it from the horses mouth. But hey, I guess im wrong

seeing as the thread isnt going to die and being flooded by GTR owners who visit Racepace (yes, ive tried racepace with my gtst and been turned back) My gtst at the moment is at Revzone and are doing a great job! Quickly respond to emails and keeping me up to date with any changes. Know a lot about skylines and other cars. Saw a twin turbo 350z and a drag-setup ford falcon with a parachute on the back O_o

people!!! 16 November 2009! Fail thread bump is fail.
  5. lol surely he isnt asking about biodiesel in a skyline??? If he talking about using it in a diesel engine, there is nothing wrong with it. Biodiesel acts as a detergent and flushes out your fuel tank and lines of crap. So its advised to replace the fuel filter a couple of times at the beginning because these can get clogged up quickly. Any stories about cars blowing up from biodiesel is because they didnt replace their fuel filters during the first couple of uses of it.
  6. haha interesting. I'll look up the specs tomorrow. You coming to drag day? Ill be bringing 5kg's of Picnic to get rid of. Whats her surname?
  7. haha thats interesting, ill run it past the sensory team at work tomorrow and see what they say. Cadbury produces a range of different types of chocolate recipes. Picnic uses a different chocolate recipe to the blocks and Cherry Ripe has dark chocolate. Do you get any reaction to these chocolate bars? some marketing internal competition. Had to spread the word about the new fairtrade chocolate etc.
  8. haha i'll make sure to bring down some chocolate to the sau drag day.
  9. shroud should definitely be put on any heat exchanger. Be it radiator, oil cooler or intercooler. Air takes the least resistive path and will scatter around instead of going through the core. Dont think this only applies to people running SMIC's. People should look into ducting/shrouds for their FMIC's too. http://autospeed.com.au/cms/A_2470/article.html
  10. haha entered into an employee competition (i work at cadbury) Lucky for me, everyone is too busy working to bother with the competition Opening it up, its actually 5x 2kg blocks. Which makes sense cause the production line isnt setup to create such a huge block! (cadbury blocks made in tasmania) You can buy them from here; http://www.fundraising.com.au/products.asp...t_16_category=4
  11. lookie what I won; 10kg Cadbury block of chocolate
  12. On another note; c63 AMG with space saver on teh rear bro'
  13. haha that shit sounds wack! engine power is proportional to density, fuel, pressure, rpm, etc Im thinking you would probably need to come up with a formula for a given curve on a compressor map which fits the turbo (based on the amount of boost you choosing to run); http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Compressor_map http://www.turbocharged.com/catalog/compmaps/fig9.html Then work out roughly how much a psi of boost would increase in horsepower or something. Never covered engine design etc in my stream of engineering. My friends are in their final year of aerospace engineering and have crunched some epic numbers for jet engines etc, ill run the question past them and see if they got any ideas.

  15. nooo another passionate r32 owner bites the dust! Only a handful left now
  16. renewal payment sent, eat it <3
  17. I decided to pay via CC and not through Paypal, as paypal never jacked me with $20 fee. Lesson learnt. Stick to paypal
  18. INTNL TRANSACTION FEE $19.55 fuuuuuuuuu~ stupid hidden fee bullshit.
  19. every r32 gtst for sale is a type-m. It is very rare to find a non type-m. Differences are; steering wheel shape and size of brake calipers on the front, non-digital climate control, weird stock rims and no spoiler /source: my r32 japanese brochure
  20. nup no epa, he told me that my exhaust was a bit loud and should get a muffler put in, but didnt give me an EPA because he respected my clean driving record in "this" type of car.
  21. bah, shoot me a renewal email if you can <3 yep definitely coming, although wont be with the water/methanol installed I like to wait till the red final notice comes in the mail before paying, allows me to squeeze every penny Paying before a due date is sacrilege!
