  2. haha I work at Cadbury Research & Development
  3. haha hit me up if you want any factory price cadbury
  4. car is missing a radiator so wont get far if it aint in Are driver trainings timed? Cheers
  5. With the standard ecu, you desolder the factory eprom and solder in a socket. You can now either plug in a programmable eprom (which you would need to burn outside the ecu) or plug in the nistune board (program through the consult). So would it be possible to have a double socket with a switch to flick between Nistune daughterboard and an eprom? This idea isnt new and seems to have been done here; http://www.twains.ch/eprom-switch_20VT.html They claim to switch between 3 eproms. My question is; How would the ecu respond to an eprom switch? I wouldnt mind having it as a fail safe (for another project) where through a trigger wire switch to the factory eprom
  6. Do this; http://maps.google.com/maps?hl=en&q=ku...mp;t=h&z=15 Private track owned by the ex ceo of coca cola i think
  7. Other than Deca there isnt much else out there. You could try other motorkhana events by other car clubs. Some provide free time at the end where you can go mental until you overheat but it wont be a couple of hours haha How much does Deca cost to hire out? $6000? Get 6 people to chip in $1k each and share 8 hours of driving haha
  8. You get about 15mins of run time per hour, it runs for 4 hours or so? So you got about 1 hours worth of spinning around in circles. You are on the pan by yourself to do what you wish. http://driverdynamics.com.au/skidpan.html The less people attending the event, the more time you get but the same amount of costs need to be made up. So you'll all have to pay more in the split.
  9. For one, I have never cruised with you so you might want to double check your info. Second, I dont need to prove to you or anyone anything on public roads, thats what the track/motorkhana is for and not the public streets. Third, (echoing Shan now?) I justify any modifications to my car for the purpose of helping on the track, if the car is a daily so be it. The difference is I have a goal which makes use of each modification instead of wanking off to a dyno sheet. Hopefully you will soon realise that your car has more potential than a dyno queen but it might involve spending money on other parts of the car. God forbid it to be classified as a daily track car when suspension and cooling is modified unfortunately no, injectors arrived today and waiting for more parts to arrive from the states.
  10. please show me some evidence to back up your claim then. Cause I havent seen you at any motorkhana event in the past two years where the car gets plenty of "boosting" instead of your attempt which involves up and down chapel street.
  11. why have you been acting like an echo recently? grow up
  12. true, stops me from pranging my car
  13. stupid post offices, 9-5pm. How is one meant to pick up packages when one works the same hours as the post office ~_~
  14. ah nice, will have to wait till my car is 100% running, cant guarantee it will be ready by race day. So might do a late submission once I know car will be ready.
  15. you start misfiring over 4000rpm and (in my case) would misfire when car had been driven for 30mins+ and had warmed up.
  16. 24 hours and no activity. Everyone must have had a busy monday!
  17. sure, but calling it a gigantic waste of money and time is a bit of exaggeration. They can easily withstand mild modification if a fmic isnt an option (be it legality or fitment issues) ARC, Trust and Nismo all designed aftermarket sidemounts and no doubt did extensive testing to support their reason for production of these.
  18. Id look into the AU thermo fan setup if it fits in your engine bay. Although you might not be sitting in peak hour traffic, you can always run the thermo fans at full speed during warm down laps and after any track racing. Cause once you park the car, there will be nothing cooling the radiator and temps will shoot up. I highly recommend looking into a shroud setup with the thermo fan as the fan is only as good as the shroud surrounding it.
  19. who says you need to upgrade to a fmic? Im running an ARC smic and pushing 210kw at the wheels... The r34 smic can handle 200kw and thats the going power rate for a r32 these days. Dont need a 300kw fmic which a smic can handle quite well for 200kw power goal and seeing as a r34 smics can cost $50 and modifyng to fit is another $50, i think for $100 its much better than some chinese quality fmic which needs your whole front end cut up. No gigantic waste of money or time mate.
  20. It is an ASI 52mm radiator Stock shroud has been designed to compliment the large engine fan. Hence the opening is similar size to the fan diametre. In order for the factory shroud to work the thermo fan would need to be spaced out and any gaps sealed off for it to replicate the shrouds advantages. As the shroud opening is quite large, due to sitting close over the engine fan, it takes up a lot of space once a thermo fan is mounted. Mechanic measured up 65mm clearance between the radiator and engine. That would involve trimming 4cm off the AU thermo shroud. The flex-a-lite dual thermo is 66mm which claims to be the lowest profile shroud in the industry. I'll drop by some wreckers to scope out the size of the AU shroud, but most likely Ill bite the bullet and get the flex-a-lite. If that doesnt fit, then will most likely reduce to 42mm radiator... Surely I cant be the first r32 gtst with a 52mm radiator? Share us your setups people! Thanks all
  21. Hello, Ive recently fitted a 52mm radiator to my r32 gtst. Due to the large size, the the engine fan has been chucked out and now im in the process of finding a proper thermo fan + shroud option. I was wondering if anyone else has installed a 52mm radiator in their r32 gtst? What did you do in terms of cooling? The most common setup is using a Ford Falcon AU twin thermo setup but have heard that it sticks out 11cm. Has anyone had any luck fitting an AU shroud onto a 52mm radiator in their r32 gtst? Another option I am looking into is the Flex-a-lite thermo shroud which is 6.7cm thick but comes at a cost. ( http://www.jegs.com/i/Flex-a-lite/400/420/10002/-1 ) Love to hear what others have done. Here are some pictures of the initial fit using the standard shroud. Thanks
  22. I see in the supp reg form something called "Driver training". Is that happening? Might have a shot at that if its running.
  23. this is where it is for the r32, not sure on any other model skyline
  24. As mentioned by blind_elk, the humidity in the air acts as a form of water injection into your engine. Water is a great suppressant for detonation and why its used with a blend of methanol in injection systems /offtopic r34 smic will need the outlet pipe cut and welded onto the other side. Although being in such a hot place in australia, as much as im pro-smic, you might be better off with a fmic as your smic will probably suffer in the constant darwin heat.
