  4. its a second hand sports car which has been driven like a sports car in japan and in australia. If you expecting the same reliability as a family toyota corolla then you might be surprised. Regardless if it is a skyline, any second hand sports car will require maintenance. What you should be looking into is the costs when things break, because thing will break. Luckily for skylines there are plenty being destroyed by kids and there are plenty of spare parts and aftermarket parts floating around. So once something goes pop it is quite easy and cheap to find a replacement part from Nissan Australia, skylinesaustralia or an import wrecker. Plenty of r32 parts can be interchanged with r33's (starter motor, alternator, clutch) and GTR's (coilpacks, injectors *with some rewiring) etc
  5. A1RM's are track pads and chew through rotors really badly in cold mornings. I used them on my daily and needed new rotors after 30,000km. After speaking to QFM, they are track oriented pad and will chew through rotors quickly when they are not up to temperature (ie daily driving) I have QFM HPX pads now which are great for street. Cheaper and better than Bendix Ultimates but I have been told they will not hold after a couple of runs on a track. For motorkhana/daily driving the HPX will be your best option.

It only covers personal injury, read teh bolded bits Your car insurance covers costs to property damage. Its why your insurance says they cover up to $5million dollars damage. $15k is way too cheap and gets you nothing in the commercial world. Especially being government, they are full of money and people will charge a shit load because they can. Sounds like she will be sent a bill for $60k

  8. My ASAA licence expired back in April but didnt receive any renewal notices etc?? Anyone dealt with them in terms of renewal?
  9. parents usually leave their car unlocked on the driveway, they noticed on the weekend that the door wasnt closed right. Had a look through the car and noticed that the service manual + all other documents in the pouch (headunit pin number, manual, initial deposit receipt for car etc) were taken... Nothing else seems to be missing... What can they do with all this info? Can they get a key/alarm programmed by just flashing this book to any Mazda dealer? Something fishy going on here, cause they would have had to go up to the door to see if it was unlocked and then know to take the service book etc?
  10. Have you tried fixing it? Usually the soldering breaks off. Crack open the connector and resolder the connections.
