  1. fuuuuuuuuuuuuu was changing sparkplugs and one of the coilpack connectors crumbled. Now im down one cylinder and car stuck at friends house How much would a coilpack loom cost from Nissan?
  2. Sounds like something I will probably end up fixing and probably not let my brother touch haha Let us know what needs to be fixed. Cheers
  3. more info on the r31? my bro is after one
  4. http://www.stylyn.com/ Located in Boronia, but recommended by Chris Rogers (from the audio section) Chris comes down there when he is in melb to do any custom stuff.
  5. dw that stereotype will soon disappear. Just saw southern cross sticker on the back window of a banged up non-turbo r33 sedan
  6. suspension can make or break cars handling. Id invest in a proper setup for your car so you get it right the first time and not end up pulling it out when the shocks bust or your car rattles apart from the stiffness. I got Bilstein height adjustable shock absorbers with kingsprings progressive rate springs supplied by www.erd.com.au Perfect for australian roads and tracks as they stiffen up as you push them (research progressive spring rates) Any decent set of springs/shocks will set you back $1500 but its worth it as it will make the car more enjoyable to drive.
  7. just saw over 100 commodores pull out of an industrial street onto ferntree gully road at around 1:40am. Does anyone know what was happening? Driving down an empty road and then there is a massive convoy of cars spilling out of a dark street haha
  8. I think traction tyres wants about $200 for suspension swap? Any import mechanic can swap suspension its only a couple of bolts. Find an import mechanic and I reckon they could do it for much cheaper as its only an hours work on a hoist. Just make sure you do a wheel alignment which will set you back another $100?
  9. Good workshop http://www.tractiontyres.com.au/ Although suspension swap is easy as. Its just a couple of bolts. A couple in the engine bay/boot and then 1 bolt at the bottom of the coilover. Crack them all off, pull out, slide in new suspension and bolt everything back on.
  10. I got a std 2530 if that will make the comparison better
  11. I have hks2530 turbo. Aim for a series 2 hks2530, they are direct bolt-on to standard r32 dump pipe (dont need a hks dump pipe) and are more responsive. Easiest way to tell is that series 2 have 9 fins and split between wastegate Direct bolt-on to r32's. Doesnt hurt to have some new braided lines, but im pretty sure its fine on standard lines (do some research into this)
  12. On another note, here is a fruit found in my backyard.
  13. Spoke to Trent today. Some other auto company has trademarked/registered the word 'status' with anything related to automotive. Instead of kicking up a fuss with lawsuits etc they changed their name.
  14. "STATUS TUNING will be starting fresh for 2010 with our new name Chequered Tuning" odd?
  15. awesome thanks very much for the photos and your experience! Good to see other skyline owners having gone down the water/meth path! Seeing as water/meth wont go into any of the hoses and cause no issues to the turbo I will now pick up the water/meth injection kit Thanks all
  16. thats the idea, to look as standard as possible Ive got nistune ecu, hks2530 and all the bells and whistles to support it. Main reason i want the water/meth is for cooling as im getting detonation in heat, and the methanol is an added bonus Ah bummer scratch that idea then. Here are some pictures floating around of pre-turbo injections. A lot of suppliers also do not recommend it as they dont want to be liable for any damage. The benefits of doing pre-turbo sways people to try it out as it significantly cools the air before it enters the turbo. But as you can see from the pictures, if the nozzles doesnt atomize properly, water droplets can do some damage. This amount of damage was caused by a poor setup whereby the nozzle was dribbling water onto the fins.
  17. Wont work. Need a modified ecu to correct it to work properly. Either PowerFC or get a base map loaded in if using nistune. Then drive to tuner to get a proper tune.
  18. Ive seen a lot of advertisements on bus shelters which have a picture of a frog sitting ontop of a goats head. There is no other writing at all on the poster. wtf does it mean!! Damn you marketers.
  19. haha i see what you did there
  20. Thanks for that. Feel more comfortable going ahead with the water/meth. Just need to find a solution for any water/methanol flowing back to the turbo. Perhaps a type of filter/catchcan to remove any water/methanol from the air, or reroute the bov piping so it feeds the air after the turbo instead of before.. cheers

  22. haha send out a message to the others thinking of coming in. Still havent found this fker. As soon as i start moving it shuts up.
  23. oo it can be used in R134a you say? Keep me up to date with this. I might change mine to HC if it can run fine in r134a. Cheers
  24. View the first photos in the original post. Its all explained there. Sounds like the blend door servo motor connections are gone. You will need to pull it out. Its behind the headunit and climate control on the back wall. You will need to pull everything out to get to it haha. Then you will need to unscrew it, pull out the little black box. Crack it open and re-solder the connector joints. Guide here; http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/R3...=r32+fan+aircon
  25. Q1: N1403272L01 Gasket - Intake Manifold - $13.60 Purchased from Nissan Dealer. Took a day to arrive. Q2: GTR Resistor ballast Justjap sells brand new for $210 http://www.justjap.com/store/product.php?productid=17524 Chop the plug off, and you will have 7 wires. (6 injector wires and 1 power wire, which is probably the yellow colour one) Q3: Are you talking about the injector seals before pushing them onto the fuel rail? I cant remember what I used. When i picked up my cleaned injectors, the person mentioned something to use but I have forgot haha Hope the above helps.
