  1. imo not worth buying a n/a skyline. Due to them being legal for p-platers, they sell for a lot of money. Most cases more than turbo versions. I'd aim towards a car which was designed as a sport n/a from the beginning instead of a derivative of a turbo model. Reason for this is usually the manufacturers have spent time making the car lighter and the engine more responsive instead of pulling off a turbo on a heavy turbo car. Here is a good list; http://www.overclockers.com.au/wiki/Fun_P_plate_legal_cars Note: the 125kw/tonne law doesnt apply to p-platers anymore so ignore any cars with turbo.

    Hicas Light

hicas determines speed sensitive steering. Often when hicas plays up the steering does get heavy. It happens to people who swap steering wheels to aftermarket but dont use a hicas boss kit, they all get heavy steering due to no hicas input being received to ecu.

  8. I used RotoMaster http://www.rotomaster.com.au/ They rebuilt my hks2530 Cost me $800 for new ball bearings and seals. Much cheaper than anyone else, because they are exclusive Garrett distributor and can source separate parts instead of the whole chra Give them a call

haha nice car Was a surprise to see a gtr parked next to my car
  10. thats a series 2 r32 gtst steering wheel. They will not fit on 1989-1991 r32's So whoever bought it, hopefully they have a 1991+ r32. Easiest way to tell is the horn button is the same material as the steering wheel instead of shiny plastic.

  13. tad more expensive than your regular joe shmoe but as the saying goes, you get what you pay for. There's no paint runs, dirt, flat spots, blemishes etc and a lot of time is spent on prep work. The front bar had a lot of chunks missing, deep cuts into the plastic and dents etc (thanks to the previous japanese owner) and any of those would show up once painted, so a lot of time was spent fixing up all the imperfections in the panels and front bar. It wasnt just a sand down and a spray. In regards to pricing, my spray also included front bar repair, a replacement guard + prep + fitting and a rim repair (little dent in the lip from the person who reversed into me) so the price would be different to anyone just looking for a front spray and even then it would be different for each car. Best way would be just to call Mick and I guess ask for a quote as he gives discounts to sauvic members. As my spray included a lot of labour hours any estimate I give now could be way off. Hope that helps? haha haha yeah wanted to show how shiny it really is! Electronic drop-down front spoiler, gotta love crazy factory options Mick loved it and suggested that it should get a coat of black paint to match
  14. lol any youtube link?
  15. haha yeah im paranoid about taking it to deca now Chips and scratches are part of a daily's life and i guess i have to accept it or i could keep the car in a bubble...
  16. +1 Leave the bright colours to the brakes which deserve to be noticed (ie. Brembo's) nothing special about standard nissan brakes
  17. Just got front end resprayed (front bar, bonnet, guards, mirrors, grill and mudguards) and rest of car detailed.
  18. Just picked up my car from micolour (sauvic sponsor/supporter) and wanted to share the results. Car went in for a slightly dented right guard but came out with a whole new front end (front bar, bonnet, both guards, mirrors, mud guards, grill and door mould under window) due to the previous paint showing its age Mick took care of the whole insurance process, all i had to do was drop the car off and pick up when its ready. Gave the whole car a quick cut/polish and also detailed the interior which was a bonus. Took some quick photos, ill take some proper photos with some better lighting next time. Thanks Micolour
  19. holy shit thats crazy. Poor R33 I had a similar story, waiting at intersection to cross 80km/h road. Was at front, lights went green but was keeping eye on traffic on the intersection. Could see one car still going 80km/h and didnt look like was going to slow down. Car behind me started beeping at me to move off but I still stayed at the green light. Next thing the stupid lady realises its red for her, jumps on the brakes and skids through the intersection stopping infront of my car. If i went when it was green or when the idiot was beeping at me, I would have been cleaned up (drivers door too at 80km/h) Lets just say the car who was behind me beeping at me avoided coming next to me at any other lights haha
  20. Or you can use a r33 alternator, just need an auto electrician to modify the plug. They are more powerful and newer
