Hey ye thats me. Was I giving way to traffic next to BP petrol station when turning? I drive around the block before jumping onto the 80km/h burwood hwy with a cold engine haha woo spotted finally, what car were you in?
  3. Monash University? Which campus? Clayton?
  4. the shocks and springs were bought as a package from a suspension workshop. He sells plenty of packages for r33's/r32's so I have faith in his setup...As the problem didnt get better/worse after replacing from old suspension (kyb shocks w/ hks springs) I have a feeling its related to something other than shocks/spring setup... Organising some diff bushes and will hopefully see some difference when replaced... Will post details once they in Thanks all
  5. Not a problem, happy to help.
  6. Seeing as we are talking about crazy engine swaps, would a xr6 turbo engine fit? That would be an interesting engine conversion haha
  7. that was awesome and that was only one lap haha! Need moar!
  8. Turbo can be put on car and driven. Just keep boost low cause car not tuned to it. AFM and injectors wont work on car without tune. AFM only takes about 30mins-1hr to wire in. Injectors can take a day if you have everything available. I installed injectors and afm into my car with no prior experience, pretty straight forward. Have a look at my thread for more info; http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Gt...20-t256804.html You wont be able to drive the car with z32 afm and/or gtr injectors. You will need to get it tuned for it to drive. What i did was buy nistune board www.nistune.com and soldered it into my ecu. Then took it to Status Tuning who loaded a base tune map on my ecu so I could drive it to his place for a tune. Although the tune was used from a similar car with similar mods as mine, the car wouldnt rev over and struggled real bad. Had to limp it to status tuning for a proper tune. Look into nistune for your tuning. I Nistune board costs about $250~ and then you will need to get it tuned, should be around $600? i think, best calling Status Tuning for prices. Status tuning also do a tune+nistune package I believe (drive in-drive out), just let him know you want to install injectors/afm and limp it to his place. He will then give you a base map to drive it over If you need any help let me know, as I can see you are in Melbourne too Cheers
  9. How does experience with labour from a franchise have to do with anything in regards to the actual PEDDERS product? Products are made elsewhere and supplied to each franchise to be installed onto the car... Thanks Sydneykid for an explanation of Pedders products, good to know where they come from
  10. Depends on condition of your electrical side of car. Do you have a health battery? Coilpacks? etc Alot of people drop sparkplug gap to 0.8mm once they push more than standard power because they begin to misfire. I used to run 0.8mm when I had dodgy coilpacks. After replacing battery and coilpacks I put them back to the standard 1.1mm supplied. Car is pushing 210kw atw and no misfiring. However as you said that you have a misfire already at 6500rpm, Id probably try and go a bit under 1.1mm. Perhaps buy a set of copper spark plugs and give them a shot at different gap sizes. Coppers are much better in conductivity which make them better than iridiums, only issue is that they need replacing every 10k Let us know how it goes.
  11. At the time i went to show Traction Tyres, the roads were wet and they didnt want to test. Will go back to them once the roads dry up. Ive had the tailshaft pulled off and rebalanced so definitely not that, could be the surrounding joints/bearings though... thanks for help. I'll look into replacing the diff bushes. Would anyone have part numbers of the specific bushes I would need to buy? SuperPro SPF2637K RR Diiferential pinion mount bushing? Any other bushes I should replace along with that? Thanks all!
  12. Look what we have accomplished in a span of four pages! - Possible methods of pre-selection of merch - An idea of what would like to be included in future merch - Clearer understanding of official/unofficial events - Members outside of sau exec and even sauvic (Birds) who are willing to help - and possibility of suggestion box!! (can either be at meeting or just an anon form on the website?) As I mentioned before I was voicing an opinion on behalf of a couple of people (in regards to the jumper) and may have come off a bit aggresive/undermining and im sure sauvic execs are sharpening their knives as I speak , but i believe this discussion/argument/bitching/jealousy, whatever you like to call it, allowed people to truly express their opinions which can only improve the future for the club. (Try to cover all of this in a general meeting ) Looking back at it now, it wasn't the best way to begin it, but the lessons learnt will help me discuss any future issues i find Saying congrats again to all the members involved in the hoodie, did a good job P.S; volvo drivers smell, lets argue
  13. Think what you wish, but its clearly evident that you responded in a derogatory way and anyone can see by reading the above. The issue again was not the fact it did not please everyone, its the fact that the majority of members in the car club (gtst owners) were not represented by the chosen design... Good to hear that you have taken onboard some ideas presented and eventually mentioned it because it feels like its going through one ear and coming out the other.. The issue is the re-hosting of a public event as a sauvic official event without mentioning it to any of the creators of the cruise. Kris and I were actually planning to re-host the public event but was suprised when sauvic were making plans to run it themselves. It doesnt need to be altered, it would have just been nice to know what is going on, which brings me onto my next point.. You keep mentioning 'bunch of people' as if i had mentioned it somewhere...my point is if you are having issues with time constraints in running the club, open up decisions to votes and suggestions for members. Why does the committee seem so isolated from all the members? It shouldnt be and thats all im trying to say... By telling sauvic members to attend events/cruises setup outside the club, cant the club be held responsible for the suggestion if something occurs to the member attending? I thought the whole reason of official sauvic events is to avoid this from happening to the club? Dont treat this as an attack, its just an honest question and last thing i want to see is the club ending up in trouble... Cheers
  14. sheesh with a response like that its not a suprise why you get no feedback and issues raised... Ive apologised numerous times and tried to redefine the current issue but it seems that all you have done is skim over them to throw some cheap shots at me and at public event organisers who are not involved in this discussion... This previous issue noted that if i want to change the club then i should become part of the executive community, my suggestion was to act more as a group where everyone can freely discuss any issues, not to strip you of your president title and defending it with legal mumbo-jumbo, obviously there has to be the defined structure but doesnt hurt to be more open... The meeting mentioned that the cruise will be 'beach to burgers' at st.kilda for grill'd, not a naming problem as you have mentioned above... Myself and others have raised plenty of discussion and topics in this thread only to be disregarded by yourself. I hope at least some of the issues raised have given you some ideas which will hopefully benefit the club...
  15. This can be easily solved, just have a vote for one of three proposed designs. Results of poll arent released and hence there is still the anticipation to see the final design chosen by majority of members.
  16. The big picture is that by re-using the same event, you are not creating more events overall because Kris, AP and I are replaced with sauvic. If both the general forum members and sauvic committee create own events that means double the events for everyone... Hope that makes sense? haha
  17. My initial use of paragraphs may have caused my original post to be read the wrong way. The comment 'poor form' was directed towards my disagreement of re-using an event which I had previously put together. I have an idea of what the sauvic execs feel as it did take Kris and I a while to plan the route, dates and book accomodation at the restaurant and it was annoying to hear it just being all taken without any credit... The same feeling that Ash has expressed by someone undermining sauvic executives' work. (Although mine wasnt as big of a task as sauvic's) But you can see what fueled that initial post, and I apologize to the committee for my harsh attitude. I stress again, the club executives put a lot of effort in the hoodie and it is very nice hoodie. If i owned a GTR i would have bought 10 by now and been smiling from ear to ear Just myself and others felt it didnt truly represent the club as a whole... and my personal issue with the unofficial events have skewed the initial issue. Cheers
  18. From what I recall i remember someone actually asking where's the gtst version, which you followed on by saying no and just to accept the GTR version. No mention as to the reason why not and/or why the comittee decided on that particulat design. Now that was a friendly criticism/question raised during the meeting and what could I have possibly said during the meeting? The critisim was closed as quickly as it was raised... And as i mentioned previously, after discussing with a couple of other members they all had similar thoughts. Maybe i should have raised it in the meeting, but I dont see how its any different to raising it on the forums. Its the same audience and the club is based around the forum.... Maybe i should have just PM'd you privately, but then how would the majority of the club members know of any issues/comments/suggestions raised? The issue here is the undefined meaning to 'unofficial sauvic event'. From my understanding the committee which have sauvic event organiser status plans cruises open to public and sauvic members (eg; Bez's pizza cruise) now this I would define an unnofficial sauvic event as it has been organised by one of the committees as a public cruise/event. By calling any other cruise/event which is posted in victorian section an unofficial sauvic event, I dont see how its different from one created by the event organisers? (public cruise/event) This is where it gets messy. As mentioned above, as the club is based around the forum i dont see how issues cannot be raised within the forum itself. I wouldnt have bothered to make this issue public if there weren't other people who thought the same (and even asked during meeting itself) Look, im not critizing the amount of work the committee has put into this club and how many hours they have put into the hoodie etc Im merely raising an issue about the design which was chosen without the consultation of the club members itself. The club should be run as a team which includes all members and executives. I dont understand why there needs to be some form of hierarchical structure between executives and members. Afterall we are all members, and we are blessed with a select few who are motivated and happy to make the club successful (known as the executives) Why should we be one of the executives to be able to raise issue or change the current status? We should move away from this mentality of president etc and treat it as a uniform group of members. I've already got enough stress with my boss at work Look I admit i may have come off a bit aggresive and perhaps should have raised it during the meeting. Ive learnt know and hopefully we will be able to talk in the future
  19. The hoodies are quite nice and I congratulate the volunteers who put in the countless hours in setting up the whole project. Perhaps if the hoodie had a GT logo on the other side along with the GTR logo, then it would appeal to pretty much all the skyline owners (except N/A's with their blue sheild ) Whats done is done. Cant change anything now. Perhaps in the future display a couple of design options for the club to vote as afterall it is a hoodie for the members of the club? Cheers edit; in regards to the above people saying they are fine with the GTR logo, as you all have stated you do not own a skyline so its quite a different mindset. The club is skylinesaustralia and thought it would at least address the majority of the cars with a design suitable for all skylines and not just GTR's. (im sure there are more GTST's representing the club than GTR's) I hope you understand where Im coming from.
  20. Reason why Im arching up like this is because the first beach to burger cruise Kris and I hosted, the club passed it off as a past event at the sauvic meeting. Although that was a bit annoying, I let it slide. Now that its popping up again, especially as an unpcoming event, I get the feeling whats the point of going to the effort in actually setting up cruises without the help of sauvic yet they take the credit? Not only that, you also declared the Beasts From The East photoshoot a past sauvic event and put Basti on the spot to review it because none of the sauvic execs had a clue what it was even about.... I think the club should review itself because at the moment it appears that anything under the victorian section seems to be property of sauvic and it was all planned/setup by the sauvic club.... On the other hand, the DECA events are tops and I hope my comments havent banned me from future deca events
  21. pfft im still waiting for the club hoodie, cause all i can see is a GTR hoodie. May as well slap on some GTR badges on my GTST as im stepping out with this GTR hoodie cause I dont see any difference between the two. Why not go with the universal GT badge or the lights or even the word skyline? Im sorry to say but myself and others arent keen on prancing around with GTR plastered on us when we are happy with our GTS/t Also, whats the deal with copying the "beach to burger cruise" which Kris and I planned? (and AP to post details under his event org status) Didnt know it automatically becomes sau-vic property with no credit or even a mention to us about a second one being planned with same name and venue. Very poor form Sau-Vic
