haha cheers, the blue looks real nice. Surprised why there wernt more factory blue r33's. Do you live in rowville? I was driving back home to Ferntree gully and usually go through rowville but with the roadworks on napoleon its a hassle now.
  4. haha nice pics! found 3 of my car! cant wait for the rest One of the shots of my car has a silly echo in the photo

  6. Update After my friend broke the usb connection by connecting laptop as a secondary power source for the headunit, he took it to a repair shop to be covered under warranty. The only thing my friend mentioned to them was that the USB connection was no longer working. He didnt mention how he broke it. Picked up the headunit today and everything is working fine. The headunit came with a receipt from Pioneer. The funny part was the comment on the receipt (attached below). The Comment said: "Replaced Main board. Please be aware that the unit is not capable of powering a hard drive through the USB socket. Please refrain from using the unit with a hard drive as it causes severe damage to the main board. If the unit returns with the same fault, warranty will not apply" Im suprised how Pioneer knew we tried to plug in an external hard-drive. Must be a common problem for them. Hopefully next time they will provide a warning in the user manual saying to not use a hdd haha Conclusion; Dont use hdd with headunit
  7. oh snap what a better idea. Then i wouldnt have my door sticking out haha
  8. update: Friend plugged in portable harddrive to headunit and then plugged in the power usb (off the harddrive) into a laptop on the passenger seat. He claims it did not work and once all removed the USB port on the headunit failed to detect any usb source. Headunit sent to pioneer for warranty repair lol I dont understand how he could have broken the usb input on the headunit by connecting the hardrive in this way...
  9. damn what a bump haha. Ive fixed the problem by now, this thread brings back to when i had that annoying problem haha. My problem was the rubber on the U-Latch was worn. Not sure what its called, the latch which the door locks onto to hold the door shut haha. Due to the worn rubber, they door would rattle because of it. Easy fix is to swap the latch with the passenger side. As that one is usually less worn it will hold the door nice and firm. However the u-latch is a tricky thing to mount properly. If you dont mount it properly your door might stick out a bit when closed. Hope that helps
  10. haha cheers for all the help. (i was the untuned r32 gtst with the Uras rims) All the stages where great fun and I reckon the big left turn you instructed was one of the biggest highlights of the day. Plenty of run-off so there was no fear of losing it haha. For those interested in the drift day but didnt go. The event had 5 stages; handbrake 180, skidpan, big left turn, linking 2 corners, right turn/powerslide Each stage had a professional instructor so it went real smoothly. Want to do it again haha. Cheers Driver Dynamics for organizing such a great day!
  11. sunburnt bad lol Was real fun. Cheers Kev for putting together an awesome event.
  12. Recustoms replaced my rocker cover gaskets. The gaskets are ordered from Nissan for about $50~. Im not too sure how much labour was, but i reckon it will under $150 total (including gaskets ordered by recustoms) give recustoms a call to find out a proper price. http://recustoms.com.au/Contact Iridiums last longer than copper spark plugs. However copper is the best conductor for electricity and that is why they are better than iridiums. Duration Vs Conductivity
  13. haha damn was expecting to rock up with a dirty car Now ill need to give it a clean so it will look semi-decent haha

  17. What accommodation is everyone taking? Thinking of going up there but my notepad calculations arent agreeing with my student wages
  18. Went to see my friend take a ride in this; and across the road near the airport hangers i saw this: Saw plenty of audi s5's and lotus' parked around the hangers too. All those plane owners are loaded haha
  19. With the price you paying for a hiflow, in my opinion you're better off buying a second hand HKS2530 turbo for $700~ I spent another $900 ontop to rebuild it and have practically a brand new 2530 with new bearings and seals for $1600... (rebuilt by rotomaster http://www.rotomaster.com.au/) The same company also sells garrett turbo's and can do hiflow's too i think. ATP's attitude towards me turned me away from them and got nothing but perfect service from rotomaster
  20. street fighter 4 is out on arcade at galactic circus in Crown Casino (Victoria) Locations for SF4; http://www.eventhubs.com/articles/2008/aug...achine-tracker/ Not a bad game from what I could see. Still playing nazi zombies (lvl 23 with 3 people is my highest level) and DotA

  23. cops can issue an unroadworthy vehicle fine along with the defect. He gave me a nice $200 fine with my defect which consisted of rear centre brake light, horn and wrong tyre load ratings Maybe he stopped issuing fines now? lol
  24. haha thanks all for the comments, great work! As for my friend, it will be his first owned car so it will take a bit of time until he learns how to fix/repair/scale massive cliff faces haha So he is more after an easy maintenance off-roader which can tackle any obstructions. Most likely it wont see any serious off-roading for a couple of years and will be used more-so as a daily. The wrangler and the sierra seem the best choice to start off with i reckon. Unless he picks up some modded hilux as mentioned above for around $10k Cheers
  25. Luke, did pettet give you a fine along with the defect?
