bash plate? http://gktech.com.au/products/?ID=132 edit; only says GTST, didnt see you had GTR

Hey, My friend is after his first car and is looking at getting an off-roader which can pretty much driver over anything(anyone) I wouldnt have a clue what kind of options there are available and wanted to see what responses SAU can deliver He wants a car similar to the old jeep wranglers. A small off-roader which isnt a fake like rav4's etc. Is there any car similar to the one above, or does Jeep have the market share for a compact offroader? Restrictions are around $10k, availabilty of parts in Australia, auto and smallish (not a 8 seater lancruiser) Thanks

why is everyone saying to remove the gtr wing? Im getting ready to put on a gtr wing on mine and now I cant decide! haha Ive got 3 bootlids for my car; gtr bootlit w/ wing, gtst bootlid with wing and shaved bootlid with gt-wing I guess i can swap around depending how i feel on the day

Here's a video of my starting which i recorded over a year ago. Sounds similar to yours AdMan I always have to blip the throttle when starting or it stalls, i tend to blip the throttle into any other car i jump into because of this haha Im putting in cleaned gtr injectors soon and getting a tune, will see if it will fix the problem. Also, not sure if it helps, but after i installed a gtr fuel pump, the cold start actually got worse..ho hum

splitfire coilpacks made for the r32 gtst can be used for r33 gtst series 1 and gtr. Going by that logic, that means GTR coilpacks and series1 r33 coilpacks should work in r32's as spitfire says they are interchangeable... Let us know how it goes

wanna do mine? <3 How is your battery? You might have a weak battery, try recharging overnight and see how it goes. When i put in a brand new battery it cranked once and jumped to life, but now its gone away Also, when i first purchased the car it had no cold-start issues, it gradually happened after driving the car, so something must have worn out/clogged up during that time..
-
yeah it was really odd. 40+ cars driving together up/down princes hwy. I bet there will be a massive crack-down next friday. Surprised how something like that can go ahead.

problem been discussed a lot on sau, its common on all r32's to need a blip of the throttle to stop it stalling. Unfortunately no one has found a solution to this problem When i put in a brand new heavy duty battery it would crank and idle with no throttle, but over the weeks it went back to its stalling. A possibly solution is to clean the cold air regulator which lets in more air on cold starts. Perhaps this could be getting stuck and causing the stalling; http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Ai...amp;hl=cold+air Also doesnt hurt to clean the AAC valve too; http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Di...html&hl=aac Let us know how it goes

im after the demister airvent, the one on the very top of the dash. Let us know if you have one which isnt warped by the sun. Cheers

the factory oil pressure gauge always plays up in r32's. The light and the needle run on 2 different sensors i think. As long as the little orange light doesnt turn on whilst driving you are fine. My needle always sits on 0. If you are worried, take it to any mechanic and ask for a oil pressure reading to double check that it is fine.

An Esky That Fits In The Boot
Rekin replied to Slow S13's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
just use the spare wheel tub and put ice + drinks in there. The r32 has a drain plug in the middle to empty out the remaining water -
i think they made it 7 due to the lights on the controller. you have four lights labled 1,2,3,4 For the 7th Player the light 4 & 3 are on which equals 7. So the highest number you can make from adding two numbers is 7. LBP is fun, but after the short story mode the game is boring. There are only a couple of good online maps and they are all short too. Game has been put back on the shelf and replaced with cod5 haha

Skyline Drivers Losers?
Rekin replied to nickandsarah_83's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
Thats probably because the r34 GTR is still regarded as one of the more enthusiast type cars. Due to their price still around the $50k mark, you'd need to be enthusiast to spend that much on a second hand car instead of a new bmw/audi/merc etc Hence why other enthusiasts driving in skylines, rexies, silvia's would be more comfortable in approaching you/thumbs up/wave because chances are you wouldn't be an ignorant cock. With r32/r33's around the $5k-10k any joeshmo can buy one and its much harder to tell the difference between the friendly enthusiast or a takumi wannabe. -
haha at 7. Currently pushing out 230kw atw on rb20 box which is crunchy. Cant decide over rb25 or rebuilt rb20. The cheap price of the rb20's make such a hard choice.

I got those wheel nuts on my car. See signature below for picture. The blue paint flakes away easy if you hit it with the key. They seem to do the job so far
-
got a quote from a gbox rebuilder in Melbourne for $900 with tradein. That means you could go through 3 rebuilt rb20 gearboxes for the price of a second-hand rb25 gearbox conversion

found this on one of SAU's traders. Located in dande i think. http://psiparts.com.au/front.asp?pid=8&ProductID=FLGSR32 Says he can modify for GTST, although not sure how it would look like though hehe

As i mentioned in your previous thread, these are pictures of a car i was interested in buying. http://img117.imageshack.us/img117/1439/img0047mediumey7.jpg http://img361.imageshack.us/img361/9139/img0043mediumoo3.jpg I believe its called a ferion lip or somethig similar to it. Designed for the GTST and wont fit GTR http://page3.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/c201809799 They always for sale on yahoo auctions, however they are made of fiberglass and cost a lot to bring down here. Your best bet is to talk to a bodykit shop and see if they are interested in purchasing and making a copy. They could easily make up the cost of the lip after a couple of sales as I am also interested in it. However id prefer plastic as its much stronger than fiberglass. One parking kerb and there goes your $400 lip...

dont believe the rego sticker, it is usually way off from car specifications. Not sure if it would help but; 1988-1989 GTST (series 1) weigh's around 1280kg 1990-1993 GTST (series 2) weigh around the 1350kg mark. GTS should be lighter as it would be missing all the turbo stuff and smaller brakes etc. However the power/weight ratio is using the unladen weight of the car. Ie. no fluids etc. Any car information you will find will only state the kerb weight... Cop told me the vicroads sticker weight is the unladen weight (which read 1250kg on my GTST) but all my r32 friends have different weight values on the sticker.. Hope that helps someway..

hmm bummer, just go to repco and ask for a r34 dash mat. They should be able to help you.

the city place is over-priced china stuff. A lot of people come back to return and they chuck it back on for sale. Just go to the dande hobby shop across the road from dande plaza. Friend picked up a savage XL for $1000 with all the accessories. It's a monster and can go through anything lol

for mum go bodyshop. http://www.thebodyshop.com.au/Content.aspx?Id=110 They sell gift hampers of different prices. As soon as they see a guy walk in, one of the assistants comes and picks out the crap for you. They also wrap it for free. Just pay and leave, no thinking edit; Site says closed, check it out when you're at chaddy.

Shell Vpower racing is being phased out so dont bother with it. http://www.shell.com/home/content/au-en/sh...nformation.html You need a tune to get the full potential out of it, else it will be no different to using vpower 98. However, for a list of car's compatible with ethanol petrol have a look here; http://www.fcai.com.au/publications/all/al...ol-blend-petrol
