  1. Follow my guide in the thread you linked above. Just pull down the innter guard liner and you will see a rubber grommet with existing wires going through. Push the amp cable through there and find it near the pedals etc

  3. Australian Delivered S15's are P-Plate legal (due to running less boost and different turbo?) JDM S15's are not.
  4. yeah i know it aint worth anything but that's what the police use. When i was pulled over by mr. k_nox TMU he was going to issue me a fine for high powered vehicle. Had a 30minute+ discussion with him trying to prove that it was legal for P-Platers. He asked me the factory power rating, to which i replied 158kw. He then checked on his computer the weight of the car which came out to be 1250kg unladen mass. The same weight which is on my vicroads sticker. He did the calculations on his PocketPC and showed me that it was over the limit from my power assumption and his weight information. He was kind enough to let me off as it was 1kw over the limit, but said that if I had an accident he would fine me high powered vehicle and that my insurance would be void. (i still left with a defect though ) So unless you have some valid proof that the car doesn't weigh 1250kg, its his police system over your word...
  5. GTST headlights can be used if they have little plastic tabs on the side to clip the gtr grill onto.
  6. Are you on Green P-Plates where your restriction is 125kw/tonne? If yes, - series 2 R32 GTST (1991-1993) is a kerb weight of 1320-1350kg. - Law implies unladen mass (ie. no fluids etc) - Police use the value of Vicroads sticker as unladen mass (My car 1250kg, which is a series 2) - 158kw~ factory power = 126.4kw/tonne (1.4kw/tonne over the limit) Reduce the power figure to 156.25kw factory, and the car is legal. Increase the weight to 1264kg, and the car is legal. Conclusion; - The series 2 r32 seems to be in the grey area as the police determine if its illegal based on your vicroads weight sticker and your power estimate. - Vicroads weight sticker is usually different amongst r32's, but im sure you can always say the car has 155kw factory and still be legit - The cop can always throw you into the same class as the r33/r34 and you would need to convince him that it is under the limit....
  7. oo nice to hear that Kar-Air worked out fine They quoted me one time for a compressor swap over. Turned out it took them 2-3hrs extra time and they didnt change the price. Quite honest those fella's
  8. nice write-up. Looks awesome after the respray! Thanks for the Uras's
  9. haha ive been doing it for a while. Its pretty easy. Just scribble down the kilometres traveled on the tax receipt from when you tanked up. Tax receipt has details on how much you filled up at what cost, so you just plug the numbers in to excel and do the math. Page was too long to fit into the screenshot, 2008 stretches further down haha
  10. A common problem amongst old car's is that the starter motor doesnt work when engine is hot. "he heat generated in the starter by the engine and the exhaust pipes (sometimes) causes the armature to expand. If the bearings are worn then the armature drags (actually contacts) on the stator causing a short circuit and a high friction drag. Sometimes just replacing the bearings can fix the problem. " Although your car is quite new, im having doubts that it could be the starter motor? See if the problem only occurs once the engine is hot? Best to take down to an auto electrician and ask for a free alternator/starter motor/battery check-up.

  12. im not sure what else could add weight to the car. From my understanding, everything is pretty much exactly the same apart from some slight interior changes. However perhaps someone would be able to shed some more information?
  13. lol i think the shortest people in the room should be the the elves. ie. Justin & Kris, seem to make a nice elf couple
  14. From what ive read, the series 2 r32 (1991-1993) had factory side intrusion bars installed into the doors. Any series 1 r32 imported into australia, gets the bars fitted in during compliance, so in the end there is no weight differences. The series 2 has different steering wheel design, different fabric, different colour dash fascia and different plastic interior (bumpy instead of smooth). Plus other small little bits, but all these changes wouldnt affect greatly the overall weight of the car.
  15. take a look under your rear guards on your car. There will be a thin peice of metal. Rolling involves flattening that peice of metal to provide more clearance for your rims. Guard liners are the plastic liners found in your front guards.
  16. so where's your sau-vic membership alfa boi
  17. I have QFM K750's which used to squeal a lot. I went to bed them in and they only squeal on very light braking on rare occasion. You can bed them in your self, or go to a brake specialist and tell them about the problem. They should be able to minimize the squeal
  18. lol yeah, take a look at my sig, those are 9inch +30 on the rear. They slightly stick out but fill the guards.
  19. 9inch +30 offset will fill out the guards. Might cause some scrubbing on the fronts, so you'll need to remove guard liners etc. Look for some pictures of r32 with r33 GTR rims for the +30 9inch look.
  20. is your favourite spot on FTG road just after the eastlink bridge next to the train museum?
  21. haha cheers guys Its already on lowered suspension, but not low enough! Hopefully will organize a proper set of suspension after uni exams along with putting on the TypeM sideskirts and GTR spoiler
  22. He could argue that he needs license to test drive the car but. I guess just have 3 friends with you when selling car, that way if there is someone at the back as you step out they cant really take off with the car hehe
  23. Found this, not sure if you have already? http://www.devtoaster.com/products/rev/
  24. Sucks to hear about your missing car At least you werent injured in the incident. Who know what weapons he may have had and how desperate he was to take it. Like the yellow s15 owner who was tazered before his car was stolen.. I reckon even if the thief would hand over any ID or key's, he'd probably demand them back by force somehow. If you get a drivers license, i reckon SMS the number to a friend so if they do take the license back and your phone, least your friend has the number? lol Went off a bit, but yeah, ill keep an eye out for your car
