  15. Block of unused land has no benefit for the vendor. He/She cannot live on it or rent it out to pay the mortgage. Any capital gain over the past 3-4 months would be hardly anything. I reckon timing would play big for an unused lot, as long as it has some form of mortgage the vendor wants to flip. my 2cents
