  1. came like that from japan, i think the jap owner tinted the reflector blue inside the foglight. As its still the factory nissan foglight. Or just a blue globe, never checked Smart man! All the stories ive read of heat soak were people doing couple of runs on the dyno. The fan is usually pointed towards the radiator and the SMIC misses out on the airflow. Thanks all
  2. looks like a scam, something similar has been done already on autotrader.
  3. If i get a FMIC then i'll have to remove my front spoiler Spoiler > FMIC Now with vids for people who dont know what im on about
  4. better to be safe than sorry, as he pointed out he doesnt want a r32 which will cost him a lot of money in maintenence. A pedders suspension/bush check is only $14 and takes 1-2hrs, replacing bushes can add up to $500-$800 Also a dieing AC compressor costs about $400 to replace not to mention trying to find a quality second hand unit. Also retro-fitting from r12 gas to r134 costs about $300 too. These things can easily be overlooked when purchasing
  5. haha, yeah im thinking about buying a return pipe FMIC, but i dont want to lose my front electronic spoiler
  6. Im pretty sure the DIY is for a R32, they are the boots i bought for my R32, so there will be no problem for you. Im not aware of how well they fit, got my suspension place to fit both steering rack boots for $30 labour. He didnt seem to mention any problems.. SuperPro is an australian bush company (http://superpro.com.au) I got my Suspension workshop to supply and fit, but im pretty sure Supercheap Auto sell them.
  7. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Re...l=steering+boot boots from repco which cost $13.50 each. The part number is RRB033. Depending on brand; My Castor rod bushes (superpro) cost $100~ $27 + $100~ = $140~ for parts $360 for labour? im guessing wheel alignment done; $60~ So about $300 for labour? I got camber, castor, steering rack bushes, subframe bushes & steering rack replaced for $300 labour.. hope that helps
  8. thanks for the info any other r34 owners with similar experiences? My car currently has 160kw and havent encountered any heatsoak yet, although not sure how long that will last once i go past 180kw
  9. lol wtf? i ordered a top radiator hose from Nissan, $70 and delivered same day...
  10. R32's are starting to show their age and i doubt you will get away with just services & tyres. Get a Pedders suspension check done; this will tell you the condition of the shocks, springs and all the 15yr old bushes which would likely need replacing by now Get your AC checked by any aircon workshops, dont want ac dieing when its a 40degree day. Be sure to get a compression test and a leakdown test. My fuel consumption for a r32 manual with catback, airpod:
  11. To R34 GTT owners; How well does the R34 GTT smic handle on 200kw atw tunes? Any problems with heatsoak on track days and/or long periods of spirited driving? I currently have a r34 gtt smic on my stock r32 with plans of 200kw~ and was wondering if it will be reliable enough for the above. People have rated the r34 smic to a maximum of 230kw~ atw but not many have mentioned about heatsoaking issues. Hopefully there are a couple of r34 members on here with stock smic's pushing out 200kw with no probs? Trying to decide wether i should install a intercooler waterspray cheers

  13. i wash my car every week, so i dont mind meeting up each time Need to pick a larger carwash though, if anyone has any suggestions post them up. There's one i use in ferntree gully, which allows buckets during offpeak times and has about 4-5 bays. Usually empty. Although bit far away from the noble park/dande folks Post up some suggestions!
  14. haha was a good meet up. Didnt expect so many to show up, will have to pick a larger carwash place next time
  15. nice photos! whats your flickr username/url?
  16. yeah back home now, where the hell is kris? lol
  17. what do you mean by hot? As in crusing on freeway at 100km/h for a length of time and then accelerating etc? or as soon as the engine is warmed up to normal temperatures? If the misfiring happens after 3000rpm~ its most likely the coilpacks. In my case, my misfiring was happening because of the ignition module overheating. (the black box sitting ontop of engine near the back) Swap the ignition module with a friend and see if you still get mis-firing. If you believe its the coilpacks, take off the coilpack cover off the engine and go for a drive at night. If you can see sparks from the coilpacks they're most likely need replacing.
  18. lol i bet that bald bloke in the first pic was the owner
  19. I sent rims + tyres to Perth from Melbourne They weighed about 25-30kg each Cost about $200~ http://www.packsend.com.au/ I just dropped off the wheels and they packaged, contacted the buyer and organized postage payment from buyer. Easy stuff
  20. lol true, but how many theifs would think about cutting the gps wire. If you install the sender under the parcel shelf and the gps antenna resting next to one of the speakers i doubt they would notice esp when they hacking away at the alarm system in the front of the car Any chance of a group buy price?
  21. oh thats great to hear. I had my compressor changed over during the r134a conversion as mine was on its last legs, so im guessing everything was cleaned out. Once the AC starts losing its chill, ill be filling up with hyChill Ive noticed that after the conversion, my ac drains a lot of power resulting in car stalling when ac first turned on. Hopefully Hychill will be less strain on the compressor and stop the stalling
  22. hahaha thats funny as.
  23. damn wish i knew this before i converted my r32 to r-134a How much would it cost to re-convert from r-134a to Hychill? Also found http://www.vasa.org.au/pdf/memberlibrary/h...white_paper.pdf if anyone wants to read up on the other side cheers
