    Flooded

Anyone get K.O'd by the huge dumping of rain an hour ago? Our drainage got blocked and flooded whole garage. Was seeping under the concrete of the floor. My room is next to the garage so my wooden floor probably going to be stuffed hehe. We have insurance but still a hassle oh well. Pix!
  2. haha that mustang looks awesome! looks like a copy of the transformers mustang
  3. PM sent thanks!
  4. nice run congrats. What turbo/mods do you have?
  5. Hey, I was wondering if anyone has a Vacuum Pump for rent? Im after one so i can install the split system AC in our house. PM or reply in this thread if you can lend us one Thanks Patrick
  6. jetman thanks for the quote. Dont hassle your self in regards to the postage, as it will end up too expensive. Thanks anyways
  7. do you have both demister airvents? (located on the top of the dash near the windscreen)
  8. mine was done at Traction Tyres in Victoria www.tractiontyres.com.au Tell em Pat with the black r32 refered you, and you should be looked after
  9. i recently got bushes and shocks replaced at 2 seperate times, so im guessing it would have been cheaper if i did it all at once, but anyways Shock/Spring installation Remove old suspension, place new suspension = $200 Labour for Camber (front/rear) bushes, castor bushes, power steering rack bushes, subframe bushes + removal of steering rack & fit a supplied one = $300 + wheel alignment = $100 So basically I paid around the $600 for labour BUT thats including removal/fit of power steering rack, so it would be cheaper if that was not done. Hope that helps
  10. there are 2 types of compressors for the R32. Which makes things hard if you are looking for a second hand one. I picked up a 2nd hand compressor off SAU for $40 and luckily it was the correct make for my r32. Refer to my previous post; http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Ac...ft-t143978.html I think you will need a calsonic brand compressor. I got mine done for $500 for ac compressor swap + convert system to the new gas
  11. i left my fine notice displayed clearly on the passenger seat when i took car to vicroads for them to inspect. Even they disapproved of the fine for my minimal defects, too bad they couldnt cancel it
  12. $182 for driving an unroadworthy car
  13. if the rwc req box is ticked than he needs a roadworthy regardless if minor or major
  14. ask him if he found the solution to the cold start issues with the r32. Plenty of threads on SAU with no solutions Stay away from the burgandy, seems too much hassle
  15. white one also shows a missing passenger airvent. Factor in $100 for a brand new replacement vent
  16. the only thing the white one is missing from a Type-M bodykit is the rear pods where the mudguards are. You can pick them up for $60 a pair~ white r32 seller also states 7psi boost, when in fact the factory boost level is 10psi. The gauge on the dash shows +-7 (cant remember but its a different unit to PSI). In regards to suspension, plenty of people sell 2nd hand shocks/spring combo's on SAU for around the $300 mark~ if you are on a budget. My advise, take your time in searching for your R32. Dont rush into any buys thinking its the best choice. Plenty of lemons out there and there will always be another one for sale the next day/week good luck
  17. that is quite high, i got 159.9kw with catback, pod, r34 smic, standard boost set to 10psi but leaking to about 11~
  18. hrmm i got my bushes changed last week (camber, castor) and i have a creeking sound coming from front passenger suspension when i go over speed humps..Never had that problem before i changed the bushes? Any idea on what it could be?
  19. Some mechanics will fix your defect + issue you a roadworthy, problem is finding such a helpful mechanic haha If you're only looking for a RoadWorthy place, try the one on cnr jacksons and eagle drive in Noble Park. Its a mechanic attached to a petrol station, next to a milkbar, charcol chicken place Pretty sure Mavric and other sau members take their car their for roadworthy's. In regards to suspension, +1 for Traction Tyres, got my camber, castor etc fitted there last week I ended up taking my car to vicroads 4:30pm on Friday. Lady came out and didnt even check the tyres and passed me lol

  22. Hey, My previous steering rack had a small leak which caused my steering to become heavy when cold and loose when hot weather. Decided to swap rack over with a working one from my friend's car along with camber bushes, castor bushes and power steering rack bushes. Once it was all done, the steering is much more stiff than before the rack swap! Could anyone explain what could be causing this stiffness? my friend says that the rack was fine before he pulled it out, so i doubt i replaced my leaking one with a damaged one.. Makes the car a pain to park now as it is real hard... Do i need to reset ECU after rack swap? hicas still in car but doesnt seem to be causing any errors Wheel alignment was done.. Any help would be great Thanks
  23. hrmm well all my suspension bushes have been replaced and a 4wheel balance & wheel alignment were done yesterday. Vibration is still there at 100km/h Went back to the suspension place to double check everything, and he mentioned that if the vibration is felt through the back seat, floor etc then it is a driveline vibration. Also mentioned that it is the tailshaft as in the r32 its in 2 parts or something and happened after clutch install.
  24. mm well seeing as the actual topic is questioning/challenging the cost of the r32, of course there will be people discussing/defending it? if we started a thread about r33's being shit there would no doubt be a similar defensive attitude which you seem to be exaggerating is happening here
