  1. if you saw the condition of the r32's selling for $9-10K, you will then realize why people are happy to pay $12k+ The demand and limited number of DECENT r32's is what keeps the prices up. Many r32 owners took 6-12months in order to find their perfect r32 due to the minimal amount being imported by dealers etc If you are after a clean r33, they can be found easily and hence why the price is low because there is such a large choice.
  2. PM sent, mechanic also mentioned that if a wheel balance doesnt fix the issue, then it could be the diff. Getting camber/castor/steering rack/pineapple bushes changed as we speak along with remove/replace of a leaking power steering rack. I will let you know if i still have a vibration problem afterwards
  3. http://www.tractiontyres.com.au/ 65 Kelletts Road, Rowville, Vic. 3178, Australia. PH. (03) 9764 2811, FAX. (03) 9764 8740. Good guys, my car will be there tomorrow getting new bushes put in

  7. oo didnt think about adjusting fan speed in FC mode, will give that a shot! Wouldnt this blow at the displayed LCD temperature? I press the fan button and then the up arrow and it makes it hot air come out. So wouldnt this displayed temp have an affect on the air coming out? that really shits me especially when flap is stuck in hot. Get this annoying flood of hot air. Ive tried pressing the recirc button but i dont think it made a difference? Will give it another try DIY would be great, not really keen on replacing the motor cause its too much money hehe
  8. haha that happens to me. I pray for it to get stuck on cold when its a hot day The problem is most likely your blend door servo motor. This controls the hot/cold flap. If the motor is dieing/jammed it will not move the flap according to the temperature you set it to. To see if yours is working. Get into passenger seat, stick your head in the foot area and try and look behind the headunit. You will see a metal rod and a white plastic clip attached to it. Guide your arm towards the hot/cold buttons on the controller, and press quickly up/down. You will then see the white plastic clip attempt to move the metal rod which moves the position of the flap. If nothing is moving, then its either jammed or dead. Take it to an aircon mechanic he should be able to diagnose it. Quote is about $70 second hand motor + $100~ labour to install.
  9. yeah i find the climate control useless. Never use the auto setting on the AC. Just always set it to 18degrees and choose fan speed One question i had was, what if its 16degrees outside and i want cold air flowing through the vents. Climate control only goes to 18degrees. and the air isnt as cold as outside in this scenario Does that mean it will pump some hot air out to make it 18degrees?
  10. from what ive read, red light cameras take 2 photos, one when you cross the white line and the other as you are in the middle of the intersection. As the camera may have been behind me to take picture of rear number plate, i instead did a left turn on a right lane, so the 2nd flash would have been my car 90degrees to the camera. If that makes sense haha Ill call the camera place on monday and see whats happened. Thanks
  11. continuing from Al's post, aftermarket rims need hub locating rings so the load exerted will be on the axle hub and not the studs them selves. A set of 4 rings only cost $12 but are a vital component in reducing vibration and any wear. Speak to your tyre place for HCL rings
  12. according to vicroads website; "spacers between the wheel and hub are not permitted unless provided by the vehicle manufacturer as original equipment" http://www.vicroads.vic.gov.au/NR/rdonlyre...8340/0/VSI8.pdf slip-on spacers are dangerous because they shorten the thread of the bolt. Bolt on spacers do not reduce any thread and are more safer than slip on's. Some reputable suspension/tyre dealers claim that bolt on spacers are legal because of this. This may/may not be true.
  13. plms offer instruction to build your own one, but it iasnt as compact as the Blazt cable, not to mention the hassle to get the connector for the nissan consult port http://www.plmsdevelopments.com/diy_consult.htm Ill just wait for the new ecutalk unit which is in the works
  14. ive currently got bridgestone potenza GIII 235/45/17 on 9inch wide rims its not an extreme stretch but it gives the look;
  15. hrmm are you sure its worth to pay $7k to fix it? How much do r33 gts' sell for these days? Might be better to sell the wreck and purchase another gts? as the car may never be the same after it has been repaired...
  16. you're paying that $7k yeah? or is insurance covering it?
  17. Hey, Today on Cnr Stud Road & Heatherton Road, there was a malfunction with the traffic lights. The traffic on Heatherton road was stuck on red light for about 20minutes, even when the lights turned red for Stud rd, they remained red on heatherton road. Sometimes it glitched up and started flashing yellow (out of order) and then went back to staying constant red on heatherton road. After being stuck at the front on the right turning lane for 20 minutes, i decided to turn left on the intersection to get onto stud road and then followed by a uturn. After doing a search on the internet, it mentions that there is a red light camera on that intersection, is there any number i can contact to see if i have been booked? Would be unfair to be fined due to their screw-up. Worried that because i have no proof of the incident that they might think im lieing? halp halp! (i was on the turning right from heatherton onto stud rd, away from dandenong, but did a left turn instead onto stud road towards dandenong.) Thanks
  18. buy this instead; http://www.cazracing.com.au/catalog/index....121c57162ea0897
