    hooray thanks for the comment haha i hate it how its flaked. Just ruins the whole look of the car Spray painter told me he can spray it black but i want gold Nisswreck (http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/t187252.html&hl=nisswreck) quoted me $50 i think for a perfect condition chrome lip, so if you're interested in replacing yours he can supply you with one.

    flywheel was machined by workshop exedy heavy duty clutch with 1050kg pressure plate Not sure about all the other questions as workshop/mechanic did the swap. Will be going tomorrow to have a talk. Just wanted some info from SAU before i head over there

    im not sure what the problem is but if you're looking at new gearbox try http://www.japanesegearbox.com.au/intro.html. They quoted me $985 + trade-in of old box for a fully rebuilt gearbox (syncros, seals etc)

    Hey, Ive noticed recently that when i reach 100km/h i get a huge vibration feeling throughout the car. Cant even see through the rear view mirror as its vibrating. Vibration can be felt through seat, gearstick etc basically the whole car. This started to happen after a new clutch install... Is there any chance this could be caused from the installation? Thanks

    Police has unlaiden mass of each car in their system. Im sure if you ask one nicely they will show you the weight. Thats how i found the weight of the r32 (in their system, most likely based on series 1 model but thats another story...)

    thanks for the replies, Took the car for a constant drive on the freeway and noticed when in 5th gear at 100km/h i get a weird feeling vibration, most likely a drivetrain vibration as i had a wheel alignment/balance done before new clutch and everything was fine. What would be causing this weird vibration/roughness when travelling at this speed? Flywheel unbalanced? Thanks ~_~

    asked my thermo-fluids lecturer at university on which is best for engine; laminar or turbulent flow. He told me if its fuel injected it doesnt matter what type because the fuel spray is atomised...

    haha im doing a unit of thermo-fluids also. Maybe if i didnt sleep through the lectures i might have understood this discussion. Ill come back to this thread and have another read after i studied for the exam

    thanks for the help. I've never changed slave cylinder and probably never has been since factory. Clutch pedal was extended to near same height of brake pedel. There is no clutch pedel play when it was extended. Its pretty much resistance straight away (ie no 1cm travel free-play, if thats what you're referring to) cheers

    yeah its deff not lining up properly when trying to engage gears on idle... Would you happen to know how to fix this? New master/slave cylinder? dodgy clutch install? Makes driving crap now cause you can feel the resistance in all gears and annoying when at lights and have to force it into 1st.. Thanks ferni!
