  5. hold ur gtech vertical, it should read 1G. Thats a way to test if your gtech is playing up or not.
  6. oo very nice. Any hints on what the new version will have? smaller/larger screen? smaller design?/din pocket size? etc cheers
  7. After getting my car lowered with some 2nd hand shocks/springs. Car is making loud knocking noises at the front. Wheel alignment people said its my front upper bushes causing knocking They offered some pedders parts + installation, but would prefer whiteline instead. Would I just need front camber kit + front castor kit bushes to re-align wheels and remove knocking sound? Thanks Patrick
  8. awesome work there! Any info if there is another consult lcd display in the works?
  9. exam timetable release tomorrow. If 5th Nov is free for me im deff in this time!
  10. it read half a second more. So the gtech was reading slower than the actual drag run. Over-estimated instead of under-estimated. Cant expect better results for a $50 timing device
  11. haha those gtech units are nifty as. Purchased one not too long ago from ebay for a couple of dollars. Havent done a 0-100km test yet as clutch slipping + bad axle tramp. Once clutch is put in ill give it a test then The gtech's are quite accurate. Placed it into my friends car at drag strip. It was half a second off from the actual qrt mile. Was impressed by its accuracy.
  12. If you are confident with silicon on your car by all means go for it. I didnt want to risk spreading some silicon onto the paintwork if it only costs a couple of dollars by a professional
  13. Is there a lot of difference in pedel feel between 800kg and 1000kg pressure plate? It's either Exedy HD w/ 1050kg PBR plate OR Exedy HD w/ 800kg Exedy plate Only $100 price difference between them, 800kg easier to drive in traffic or no difference between the two pressure plate loads? Thanks again
  14. mmm its 911 or nothing i reckon http://www.cartest.ca/2003_porsche_boxsterboxster_.htm Golf GTi won best australian sports car under $60,000 + other awards. Much popular over the R32 in terms of sales. http://www.volkswagen.com.au/golf/model_gti.asp
  15. someone talk to Traction Tyre about Sau-Vic sponsorship We give them too much business, we want discounts!
  16. from what ive read, first gear doesnt have syncro's (hence you cant shift into it whilst rolling, unless you rev-match) My one acts similar, it doesnt slide into 1st gear when stationary, i feel a resistance, notchy but no actual grinding. I'll be replacing my clutch in a couple weeks time, so can comment then if i have a change in shifting etc
  17. - VW Golf R32 is a good car, but a bit expensive for what it is. - Porsche Boxster S is an entry model, and only bought for its name. - I thought the EVO X will be selling for $100k+? - R34 GTR Vspec, awesome car but think about its resale value once the new GTR comes out. (could drop etc) My opinion, get a brand new car Get a 6.1L v8 300c with brembo brakes or this which i just found, limited edition F6 (300 avail) http://www.fpv.com.au/media/34501/f6rflyer.pdf
  18. +1 for Traction Tyres in Rowville. http://www.tractiontyres.com.au/ If it helps, i saw Glen Ridge (host of car show) picking up his track rx7 from that place
  19. mm sounds like the HD is the way to go. Anyone had any experience with Sports Organic clutches? Cheers
  20. haha, we'll most likely only visit the business once or twice, and do some passive observations. After that, we will then just produce an analysis with the data collected and produce a report for your reading pleasure. One example from last year, was observing a Subway restaurant serve its customers and then ask them to fill out a survey, report was produced with customer needs/wants and solutions on how to improve any problems. Cheers
  21. Something i found on this forum, Hope this helps
  22. lol cheers for the help, but would like to do atleast one legit assignment during my course no one interested?
  23. Hey, Im currently in the market for a new clutch for my R32 gtst (which will only see 200kw atw in the future) With so many clutches on the market, with different names and parts, which one would be the best/easiest for daily driving? So far in mind are; ----------------------------- Exedy H/D Clutch - Genuine Exedy H/D Clutch with Pressure plate rated @ 1050kg Exedy Sports Organic Clutch - Genuine Exedy Sports Organic with NKK Pressure Plate Exedy 5 puk Button Kit with Pressure plate rated @ 1200kg ---------------------------- I heard the Sports organic is a much easier clutch for driving than the H/D and also holds more power. Although not sure where the 5puk button kit falls into this comparison Thanks Patrick
  24. hehe i found a plastic fork and knife in a small plastic bag. Probably from some fastfood place the owner went to. flare!! which i think expired last month Window Tint applier (some plastic tool to squeeze bubbles out of tint?) no wonder the tint is a dodgy job, DIY FTL Was found between chair and centre console, near seatbelt buckle. 25. Hello, Victorian sau members, Im currently in 2nd year, studying; Industrial Engineering & Engineering Management at Monash University Clayton. One of my requirements for this semester is to produce a WORK METHOD IMPROVEMENT analysis for a business. Basically, analyze one process of the business (customer service, products moving in/out etc) and improve it's efficiency and effectiveness by upto 10%. My team and I were wondering if there were any small/local businesses which would be interested in this analysis. The project will mostly involve questionnaires, observations and interviews of the customers/staff of the business. This is a free service on our behalf which will provide you a deep analysis of your business (time management / cost saving) More information regarding the project will be posted in a couple of days, once the Lecturer finalizes some information. If any business would be interested in allowing us to conduct this analysis, please leave a message on the forum or contact me on [[email_snipped]] Thank you for your time Regards Patrick
