  1. r34 smic is larger and better than r33 smic. Its also a straight bolt on for the r33's hence why many r33's upgrade to a r34 smic
  2. You use the same piping which your current r32 smic uses. The r34 smic needs its outlet cut and welded onto other side (refer to my previous link) cost about $50 Send us some info about r34 intercooler spray Cheers
  3. yip, ive got apexi catback, apexi pod and r34 smic As stated by GTST, $150 for an smic + another $100 or so for installation. No cutting required to fit so its all legal Here's some info; http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...=158811&hl=
  4. not bad, I purchased a set of 2nd hand kyb SR special shocks with HKS springs. Sits about 340mm from centre to guard. Suspension is a bit more stiff than normal but very comfortable on daily. dips in road, i get tyre scrubbing but that could be due to old shocks/springs/wheel offset etc
  5. yeah run the ac diagnosis test to see if you get blend door servo motor (not sure if r34 has it, r32 and r33 do) Mine is messed, sometimes it locks up and sometimes it works lol
  6. Got similar problem in my r32. Better off buying a second hand one from a wrecker or a new one from Nissan. TypeM wreckers (in dandenong) quoted me $70 for a 2nd hand blend door motor and $100 for installation. Else, you can buy the motor and go to any reputable air conditioner mechanic and they should be able to do it.
  7. i think its just my shock/spring setup. The stiffness isnt that much different from stock, so its a comfortable ride but dips in road it scrubs a little. It isnt that low as you can see :S
  8. some reading material; http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...=169774&hl=
  9. I had bendix ultimates fitted on my car at mechanic He bedded in the pads through a couple of high speed stops etc I have no squealing issues/problems (and i hope i dont in the future )
  10. Some calculations from this site; http://www.bigcustomwheels.com/rt_specs.jsp Not sure if this calculates tyre stretching values? 225/45 on 17x8 will give me 10mm extra clearance 235/40 on 17x8 will give me 24mm extra clearance If my car was lowered 20mm and the 235/40 will give me extra 20mm clearance, would that mean that my clearance will be the same as it was before i lowered the car? I had no scrubbing before lowering? Should i get the 225's or the 235/40's? Big price difference though Thanks
  11. can you give us a price on the demister airvents? Not sure if you got my pm.. Thanks

  13. Kevin was in the herald Sun yesterday. Some study about 19yr old driver vs a 75yr old driver. There is a picture of Kev standing around and a couple of words about driver dynamics
  14. haha yeah i got one too. I reckon its a cool peice of useless technology Best part is putting car on dyno and watching it pop out and then back in once the run is over hehe
  15. Took a good look today and found out that its scrubbing at the end of the inner guard, just before the lip lol So decided to use a heatgun; using a peice of plastic we found to push it into place Melted a couple of holes oops Removed majority of parts which looked like to cause scrubbing. Test run revealed reduction in scrubbing but still scrubbed in some heavy dips in the road. Next monday, fabricating a rectangle peice to sit inside the lip with the inner guard lining ontop. Thereby pushing the lining couple of centimeters up towards the metal Will see how it will turn out
  16. Glenn Ridge is on a 5yr contract with Yokohama tyres and Traction Tyres is exclusive distributor of Yokohama's Imagine getting free tyres for 5 years haha
  17. cheers for the clarification Went back to the tyre place and they advised me to get 235/40 profile tyres. Which will have smalller diameter than a stretched 215. They quoted me $400 for a pair of Yokohama AVS ES100 235/40 fitted + balanced. That will be my last resort, Tonight im going to heat up the inner guard and push it up to see if it clears, if not ill just have to purchase the low profiles Thanks Patrick
  18. had a look under the car, they are scrubbing just barely on the inner guard lining. I think i might do the heating up and pushing back as its only a small section which is scrubbing. I go to the same tyre mechanic as majority of racers go to. I bumped into Glenn Ridge as he was collecting his track rx7. I have no doubts that the place doesnt know what they are doing
  19. Torque = Force x Distance Therefore increase the distance (with a breaker bar) to increase the torque Who ever thought high school knowledge would come in handy lol
  20. Thinking about stretching 225's on the front Although im afraid that scrub may still happen... Should i go 215 or 225? Thanks
  21. im after one front hub and demister air vents (long airvents on top of dash) Thanks
  22. sounds like a good idea, although im not 100% sure where abouts the tyre is scrubbing. The lip or the top of the inner guard.. hrm

    New P-plate Laws!

can you forward the email to me? I want to keep it in my car for future reference Thanks
  24. Wheel alignment was done at Traction Tyres in Rowville. The only adjustment they could do were the toe and hence why they told me to purchase camber and castor kits. I have seen people with +30 offset and same tyres and they get no scrubbing. Maybe my springs/shocks are too soft hrmm Might book a pedders check and/or possibly get 215's on the front if that would help..
  25. 2nd hand kyb shocks with 2nd hand hks springs. Perhaps i should get a suspension check done at Pedders?
