Hey, Purchased a set of wheels; 235/45 17x8 +30 offset (front) 235/45 17x9 +30 offset (rear) Decided to lower car with kyb shocks and hks springs, sitting about 340mm from centre to guard. Wheel Alignment results; ------------------------------------ CAS Left: +5.17 Right: +6.32 Cam Left: -0.33 Right: -1.29 Toe -0.8 Cam Rear Left: -1.52 Right: -1.40 Toe Left: +1.4 Right: +4.5 "needs castor kit & front camber kit" "upper control bushes on both sides knocking" Car pulls slightly to the left and they stated this is due to camber/castor. Will be fixed when kits installed and aligned. ------------------------------------ Just took car for drive, mine are scrubbing bad at front. Any dips in the road and then you hear a creeking noise coming from the fronts. Not sure if its scrubbing or perhaps the springs/shocks? as it seems to only come from the front right? Anyway to prevent scrubbing without rolling? As i dont want to remove inner guard as then it will expose my SMIC? Thanks Patrick

340mm is best height for r32 in terms of handling. Refer to sydneykid's posts etc for detailed information

hooray car is lowered! I think its down to 340mm Worried about the front as i have a feeling they might hit the lip if i turn wheel and hit a bump.. ^^, Now i need to fit on the typeM skits/rear pods + spoiler and it will be all good before: and after!!!

kyb SRspecial shocks with hks springs. Nothing special, picked it up for $200 for a full set so cant complain. Will be my temp suspension until i purchase some new blisteins (someday... lol)

Perhaps have a chat to the instructors and ask if they could remove 1 or 2 cones. I remember on my defensive driving course, they removed a couple of cones as we all expressed a fear of ruining our front bars

They are a nice style rims, but id try and aim for the uras ns01's which they copied. JustJap is currently selling new sets of uras wheels. There are pictures of driftek rims hitting gutters on ns.com...

Hey, Purchased a set of r33 stock rims with tyres to pass roadworthy/clear defect. Do not need them anymore and hence selling Two tyres are 225/55/16 and two are 205/55/16. Rating is 95V and 91V. tyres have around 30% tread left. The inner of both front tyres is a bit low, but just above the indicator. Wheels in very good condition. only a couple of very slight gutter scrapes. there are two indicator bands on each tyre. one is a thicker one and the tread is around 1.5 on two wheels and about 3mm on the other two. for the smaller band tread is around 2.5mm away on two and 4mm on two. Amazed that you took photos and drove haha Missfiring car (could be ignition module) + vibrating steering wheel (wheel balance) + car pulling to the left (wheel alignment) wasnt very fun to drive and wasnt keen on pushing it. Hence i was left off somewhere in the back haha I think at one point i would have missed a turn if TurboX didnt slow down for the turn, not sure if that was intentional or not but you saved me getting lost (again) cheers

rolling i can deal with, but not really keen on flarring.. Can you post a pic of a closer look at the flarring? Also how low is your car from centre to wheel arch? I think my shocks will drop the height to 340mm and hope i wont need to flare.. Thanks

Thanks 17x8 +30 17x9 +30 I might have some troubles lowering the car as the rears stick out a fair bit. Dont think its an issue with the GTR's but

i heard a story that if you jack up the rear of the car, the springs in the shocks will uncompress, when you place the car back down it will be slightly higher because the shocks have not yet compressed to their max limit. If you are off by a couple of mm's this could possibly make you pass Never tried, only heard about it hehe

the stock boost gauge on the dash does not show numbers in PSI, it has a different measurement. mmhg or something?
