    the oil indicator is dodgy on most skylines. Mine constantly sits on 0 and floats around. Although the light works on a seperate sensor and if that comes on, that is no good. Best to go to a mech and get a oil pressure test done, as that light should not be coming on at all

    Congrats to Kevin for having a segment on ch9 'The Carshow' That stunt driving school looks awesome and was funny to see the presenter having trouble with the 2 wheel driving haha Glad to see the sau-vic sticker tv. club reprezent!!     Wouldnt it be better to fix it up? you can buy rb20's for around $500-$600. Im sure a mechanic wouldnt charge too much to pull out and swap with new engine.

    Not sure if its the same thing, im in 1st gear, rev to about 1000-1500rpm and slowly release clutch just above friction point. Car starts to wobble feels like left/right and feels like its going to stall but revs are at 1000+ let go more of clutch and accel and the wobbleness goes away. Spoke to a gearbox/clutch specialist, said that the flywheel could be out of balance. Does my problem sound anything similar to yours?

    yeah when i click to accesories in the morning. I hear a high pitch noise and then get a low moan/grumble near the front passenger footwell only for like a second. I park my car on a steep hill overnight so maybe its causing more work? Would it be fuel pump? My car is running a bit lean which could be due to old fuel pump

    I sometimes wonder why im still in engineering... 2yrs in cant afford to drop it now, hopefully it will become better in 3rd/4th year lol In regards to Monash IBL for engineering there are 2 types; Compulsary 3month biz exp during end of year 3 or 1yr work experience which can be picked up at beginning of year 4

    http://www.japanesegearbox.com.au/intro.html When i went to their store, they had about 10 of them. Although i think they are all fully rebuilt. Quote of $995 for a fully rebuilt rb20 gearbox. Give em a call i guess.

    haha thats interesting. My car came with a big GT wing which was angled down. Made freeway driving weird as i could feel the rear swaying haha

    yep you can feel hicas, and its why majority of people remove it. It sorta feels like the rear of the car is stepping out but it isnt haha Plenty of threads about hicas, just give it a search. Some people remove due to its unpredictability and some learn to use it and take advantage of it. If you planning on drifting, best to remove it.

    From what ive heard/read I think clutch installs + machine flywheel is around $300-$400 mark
