  1. still keen on the airvents...but havent received a reply
  2. hicas only moves rear wheels 1-2degress at speeds above 60km/h (or 80km/h) You'll have to put the back wheels off the ground, accell to 70km/h and turn wheel to see if they tilt haha
  3. did you buy stuff from that auction site a couple of weeks ago? Shotgun demister air vent for r32. *shamless plug: If you need any help/work in the website department shoot us a PM * - Patrick
  4. I thought the indicators are put on for R32's from 1991 onwards. Its why the majority of r32's without indicators are 1989-1990. Thats all i know haha
  5. Try and get into Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical & Computer systems) at Monash Uni Clayton. Course involves a shit load of maths and a lot of theory. have a read through this to see if this is what you mean by Electrical Engineering; http://eng.monash.edu.au/courses/undergraduate/ecse.html In my electrical uni in first year, we learnt superposition, capacitor charging, logic circuits, circuit analysis for voltage/current, nodal mesh Basically a drawing of a circuit, and ways to calculate voltage/current at certain points using formula's, theories and rules. Although this is just a basic intro to electr and becomes much more detailed in the following years. Best would be to contact the Electrical Engineering department and see their response. 7. The R34 SMIC is a direct bolt on for a R33. Benefits are; Less throttle lag No cutting chassis holes Still run around with a Pod as they cant see changed smic They can handle up to 230kw~ but do get a bit of heatsoak, best to ask a r34 owner ARC much more expensive than the R34 SMIC and not quite sure if you'll get a noticeably large difference between the two. More info; http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...howtopic=158811
  8. http://www.stylyn.com/ Recommended by Chris Rogers from this forum. Did my Mongoose m80Au in my car. Located in Boronia (south east) so a bit far away from you. - Patrick
  9. Wait for this http://news.com.com/Philips+3D+TV+to+appea..._3-6022254.html
  10. very nice. How much did the window seals set you back? Where you get them from. Only thing stopping me are those bloody seals which cost over $600~ lol
  11. I also get white smoke on cold morning starts but i hope its due to LatinR33's explanation Will have a proper look tomorrow morning if it lingers around or just disappears Read from a site.
  12. 1080dpi - dots per inch ie. high definition; its what is required to get full effect of bluray and your ps3/xbox360 Plasma causes burn ins if a static image is on screen for too long. Example; HUD(headsup display) during gaming health, ammo etc. Plasma also loses brightness after X,xxx amount of hours as the gas depleats LCD cant produce a deep/dark black as Plasma due to the light shining behind the pixels. Although new LCD's are solving this problem. Saw commercial on tv in my opinion; Go the LCD, it costs more but its much more worth it. Lot of info here; http://www.google.com.au/search?q=lcd+vs+p...lient=firefox-a - Patrick
  13. hrm i guess you'll just have to call up vicroads and ask what they mean by engine modifications. Although, I doubt police will know how a standard muffler looks for every model car. As long as it aint a 20inch fart cannon. But i could be wrong
  14. are you a current P-Plater? Then i believe, according to their site, that we are still allowed modifications to our cars, as long as they are legal. ie legal limit exhaust etc You'll just have to contact vicroads and ask on whats going on... These cars are restricted under current PPlate law if anyone wondering.
  15. The modifying restriction is ONLY stated on the NEW PPlate restrictions. The page in regards to Current PPlaters, only states to abide to the Power:Weight ratio. I dont think they will be asking current Pplaters to start pulling mods off their cars..
  16. Adopted this idea from austech forum; Moderator chooses a random number between 1-999 Moderator creates thread and says guess number to win prize Moderator states 1 entry per person Or 3 entries if participant is paying member. When number is guessed, prize is given This is what austech does for its members and no setting up is even needed. Just a random number and a thread. Change the rules to make only paying member can guess number. All you would need to check will be if the winner has paid
  17. Could you please explain why it could not be the pod? because your post was nothing more than a waste of bandwidth if no reason is included Note; the only time I have felt any symptoms was after a run + a 5min stop, so no doubt the exposed pod may have caused some problems once i started moving again, but then again i could be wrong We all learn from our mistakes but i dont remember me undermining you when you didnt believe the power gain from the smic... So either reply with a decent answer/explanation or dont bother replying at all as I dont want a mess in here. After all we're all here to learn from experiences On another note; RSTME could share more information about your SMIC mod. ie; any power gains, did you reweld or work with custom piping, did you attach airduct to smic etc - Patrick
  18. you think they expensive here, check out the price of them in Japan. Its a common mod in japan and to import one off yahoo auction will cost over $250 lol
  19. can you give us a model number of the lcd monitor?
  20. haha sounds nice. For every $1 you get 1 point. More dollars put in, more points for member and increases chances of winning for that week/month Sau takes a percentage, and winner takes a split. Or Sau could use the money and purchase prizes to give the winner. As passing money around could be shifty some how haha
  21. Thanks Rhett for your results! The r34 smic can handle up to 230kw so i guess that is close enough to your sweet spot Cubes Will be interesting to see the maximum capabilities of the smic further down the track as I will be looking into r33 hi-flow hopefully. As stated above, if you have a r33 id aim for fmic as the r33 can gain much more power easily and reach max power of the smic. Although you will have to cut holes and possibly engineer reobar/hole if you get caught (which costs $$$) Quick benefits; - Less piping than fmic - r34 SMIC outlet is larger in diameter than r32 smic, which resulted in restriction for stock r32's (possible reason as to gain of power) - Larger core but small enough to not cause any throttle lag (compared to fmics) Once i pop in a bosch 040 fuel pump, ill get another dyno run and post up results. Rhett ill be interested to see your waterspray + airduct shroud if you customize it in One negative thing about the smic is it gets heatsoaked easily. Unlike fmic's which are freezing cold, after a long hard run the smic is hot on one side and warm on the other side. They tend to get warm and i think i have felt a couple of times the heatsoak, but cannot confirm as it could be either heat soaked pod or my coil packs. Would like to hear your results with the new smic on the roads and tracks. Cheers Patrick
  22. AUGUST - 12 Sun - SAU Vic Track Club Championship - Round 6 - Sandown woot! i presume this will have driver training too?
  23. $90?! omg so cheap Why is it during University exam week Will there be another day in a couple of months?
  24. What a shame, i guess cops dont want us hoons learning how to drift on their facilities Hope you can find an alternative just as slippery as Atwoods
  25. ah bugger, i have a different compliance plate/sticker to that. Sorry i cant help
