  1. Thanks for the offer Seems too much hassle to borrow and fit on a used hose only to remove the next day once Nissan part arrives. If i dont end up finding a pipe i can always call in sick on monday Cheers Patrick
  2. Hey all, My upper radiator hose for my r32, sprung a leak and caused a big mess in the car. Im after a replacement hose, either original Nissan or other. Im having trouble sourcing one, as all shops (repco, autobarn, burson, nissan) are out of stock and I need to order in. Nissan says they can get one by Monday Afternoon but would like one tomorrow so i can get the car on the road ASAP. Would anyone know where I could get a brand new radiator hose tomorrow (Sunday?) JustJap sell radiator hoses but unfortunately are located in NSW and postage would take several days. Are there any Jap Import part suppliers open tomorrow in the SE area which may have this hose? Thanks - Patrick

  4. 89-90 model r32's are illegal as they weigh less (due to no intrusion bars) 91-93 model r32's are legal as they are heavier and fall under the p:w limit. r32's will be illegal in the new law, as the law restricts any turbo vehicle, so technically a new p-plater can get fined for driving a r32. Lets hope the cops dont target current P-Platers with the new laws and force us to do the run around as explained above. Cheers
  5. obviously when you compare a r32 and r33 together, no doubt the r33 will be better. Although a car choice goes beyond what is stated on the spec sheet. It comes down to your preference of what you imagine your self driving. Compare an old skyline to a brand new car for same cost. The specs may be in favour of the new car (depending on which specs you focus on age, petrol etc) Although you will still go for the skyline based on personal preference. Same can be said for the r32/r33 decision. You dont buy a r32 thinking "what if i chose a r33" as it comes down to what you are most happy with. if you have a passion for the particular car, being an old classic car or r32 in this case, then the price of repairs+parts and the numbers on a piece of paper will not matter I hope you make the right choice as they are both excellent cars each with their pro's and con's Cheers
  6. got a apexi catback exhaust Ive had my afm checked, o2 sensor checked, aac valve cleaned, pod filter cleaned, fuel pressure checked. Not sure what else to check? haha There must be some common fault we seem to all be overlooking which causes this :s
  7. Only have catback exhaust. Uploaded a video of my daily cold start. Anyone have similar? As you can see/hear, the key is turned for a while, then it jumps to life and falls back to zero. a blip on the throttle brings it back to life and idles normally... Cheers
  8. people with existing licenses will be exempted from the new laws, however if you are breaking the current law (high powered vehicle) you will be also breaking the new law which may have worse penalties..
  9. The prices you posted above are the exact same prices listed on jsai website... I may be interested if a groupbuy price is set for sau members Cheers

  13. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sam_Newman In 2005, he bought a grey Lamborghini Murciélago, which is widely recognised as he drives it around Melbourne, number plate KGB 000. In August 2006, he was involved in an altercation with the Panton Hill Volunteer Fire Brigade, accusing the driver of the fire truck of cutting him off while driving at Kinglake. I didnt recognize him as he got in/out of the car. Didnt seem to care that he parked over 2 carspots and us standing around taking photo's. When we were driving off the pier. Some guy approached me as i was waiting and talked about his farm and how he has a large field for BBQ events etc etc. Hopefully the pamphlet has made its way to the new events co-ord Good cruise
  14. Just received Pictures from Ray of his smic customization if anyone interested
  15. What are the conditions of this group buy? as the above prices dont seem to be any different.. Do the trust rear pods wrap around the lip of the rear bar? Cheers
  16. same here, When my car came fresh off the boat, it started on colds no worries and was perfect. Then after the first couple of weeks it started to struggle and it pretty much got worse and now happens every morning. I wonder if the r32's in Japan have the same problem? I also heard that if you leave your car untouched for 2-3 days it will start much easier than when you start it the next morning. Another rumor i've come across
  17. Re Customs did all the work, including cutting/welding the outlet pipe + customizing the piping to fit the cooler in. I basically just gave Ray the r34 smic and he did his magic As this was his first time, he may have been unsure how much time/cost it will take in order to fit it. Might be best to give him a call and ask for a quote although i assume the cost will be around the $150-$250 total depending how many dyno runs etc etc.
  18. ah crud cheers for that. Didnt double check the data, will fix now Thanks to anDru for supplying me with the smic Took car for a proper drive today (sau cruise) noticed missfires above 3000rpm which occasionally happened before smic upgrade. Mechanic has checked coilpacks several times and indicates they are fine..Could it be linked somehow to the upgraded smic? Will take car for a drive tomorrow and see if the issue is still there... Cheers
