  1. haha, the hunt for the perfect r32. I think every r32 owner have gone months searching for the best one. Took me probably a year of searching. Best place is carsales and SAU/nissansilvia. Carsales always have overpriced r32's but usually good bargains pop up. Try to stay away from most import dealers, although SSV on princess highway seems like one of the only trusted dealers floating around. Any car you decide to buy, first take to an import mechanic for pre-inspection, take to an ac workshop for a pre-inspection and maybe even a tyre/suspenion workshop for a pre-inspection. That way you can find any hidden problems with the car Although, maybe your budget is too low to find a decent r32? r32's range from $9000 to $15,000 and if your budget is the low $9k dont expect a decent model. Cheers Edit: SSV is located at the corner of Huntingdale Road and Princess Hwy on the direction towards Dandenong. It is right after the junction, so you gotta keep left before you see the lights.
  2. Do you have the ac vent which is on the top of the dash? The one closest to the windscreen? Cheers
  3. Hey, Just got back from stylyn audio (place in melb Chris Rogers recomm) Have booked in: M80AU + Internal Siren + Central locking hookup + labour = $630 Will give the internal siren a drop ( -$50) as it's not really needed. Is the ultrasonic worth the extra money? Or should I just go the M80G? Cheers Patrick

  5. feels like a side-to-side wobble, will have to see tomorrow. Thanks to tyger & Burgerman for possible causes of my prob. Will ask my mechanic to investigate these fixes. Cheers
  6. lancer invasion! ill leave it up to the readers to decide if its a high/low light
  7. you'l probably buy a new clutch in the future anyways, so doesnt matter
  8. hrm, i believe it comes down to maturaty/responsibility in regards to P-plater with turbo, but this not being the main issue of this thread. Sounds to me like you are getting a loan for the car, and that you will be stretching to the max if you get N/A or turbo. A skyline will never be as reliable as your pulsar, being n/a or turbo. If you have no money on the side for repairs you will be taking a big risk. As you mentioned its from an import yard, the car is fresh from japan and no doubt full of problems. Even if RACT gives it the thumbs up, there is no doubt problems will occur once you start driving it. Dont forget to give the car a major service if bought, probably AC converted to new gas system and plenty of other issues. I've probably spent over $1500 on just repairing the car to standard, and ive only had it for a couple of months. An old car like r32 will need constant attention and hopefully service every 5000km which may be a big jump from your pulsar. Sorry to burst your bubble, but its better to know now than to regret it in the future. Other than that, the r32 gtst is bestest skyline evar!! - Patrick
  9. haha we all go through that stage. Remembering now, i didnt drive with radio on for the first week as it was too distracting. Had a clutch and gears to worry about without the yacking of a radio Might also get a couple of smells of clutch burning too haha All in the learning
  10. Hey all, hope we all having a merry christmas ^^, Ive noticed recently when im moving in this grid-locked christmas traffic my car acts weirdly. I bring the revs up to 900-1000 and let go of clutch until the car starts to move, as the car starts to move, i get this weird wobble. Its not like a shudder when you're about to stall, feels more of like a wobble.. During this wobble the revs are constant (900~) if i increase the revs the wobbling is still there until i let more off the clutch. I have no idea what this is and is annoying when im crawling through traffic... I'm pretty sure my r32 still has the original clutch, if this may be the source of the problem.. Does anyone have any info regarding this? Edit: Also not knowing if it relates, but when im idling at rest, i can feel through the seat a low rumble sort of brrrrr and then stops for a second or two, and then rumbles again. Before it used to shake the whole car and make pop noise but this was fixed by cleaning the AAC valve. Although the low rumble/vibration felt through the seat is still there... During the low rumble/vibrations the, rpm's do not drop or raise on the dash. They stay constant at 750rpm Im thinking its injectors but not too sure... Thanks Patrick
  11. I went from 10 lessons in a manual corolla to a r32 manual gtst. There was also a month gap since i last drove the corolla. I found the r32 much harder to stall than the corolla. Hell, the engine lights would come on and I just had to press in the clutch for it to start up again Took about a week to get used to it, and probably another one to not depend on the handbrake on steep hills Get the manual! Cheers
  12. From my researching most alarm installers will put a decent alarm with a decent gsm module. ie. Mongoose alarm with mongoose gsm sender. This setup would end up costing around $1000~. With $1000~ id prefer the quiktrak, which is on special for $999 incl installation but a $400~ yearly monitoring fee has to be paid. The only one i could find is the rhino gsm alarm floating around ebay. Although i cant find a reputable installer as most decent installers only stick to their alarms. From researching about the rhino, it has a normal alarm keypad and can also be controlled via sms, if you lock your keys inside car etc. If you get the rhino please keep us updated with it as i would like to see it Cheers
  13. im after the top air vent at the very top of the dash. Near the windscreen PM me any details Thanks
  14. I was considering purchasing a pulsar SSS when i was car shopping. They pull about 115kw for an sr20de and there is a large community on pulsar.org.au. Drop in a gtir engine in no worries What about an integra type R? They seem to be a quick n/a car with some potential too I reckon go for a reputable strong n/a car instead of an n/a which its reputation is built from their (twin)/turbo brother. If you get what i mean haha. Cheers
  15. Will accept any reasonable offer
  16. Hey, Im after an impul RS wheel cap(s) Purple in colour, willing to buy all 4 if you dont wish to sell just one. Thanks Patrick

  18. anyone leaving from knox area? Wouldnt mind following someone up to the meet
  19. I had the exact same problem, car stalled it self once it started. Turned out it was the aac valve. That was cleaned. Car still chokes but doesnt stall. Fuel pump/injector clean will be next
  20. D-Speeds cost over $500. Unfortunatly these are not them. Cheers
  21. I was sizing it up and from what i could see the gap between the board and metal was real small. Afraid the pressue of the foam could bend the clips. If its only $2~ for the foam ill give it a shot. Bunnings sells auto carpet for $19.00 for 130x100x3 i think. Seems to be the most expensive part of the whole shelf Jaycar/dicksmith have similar prices for subwoofer/car carpet...
  22. How important is the foam? Im thinking of using the left over parcel shelf carpet under it. If you reckon this will be a waste could you please quote me some prices of foam which will do? Any regular foam from bunnings? If the clip idea will fail the above method will be the next to try. Thanks for the pics
