Well after trying to take off the dash to look around, i decided to take it to the pro's haha. Told him to give it a free look and i was amazed. Being the 3rd ac workshop ive been to this one actually knew their stuff. Turns out to be the motor which controls the rod near the feet which move it from hot/cold is dead Also known as Blend Door Servo Motor. Located underdash on passenger side. He asked me to source one out my self as it will be cheaper than paying for a brand new one. If anyone has a halfcut with this motor please pm me They moved the setting to cold, so only cold air will flow through the vents and disconnected my compressor to stop the rattling noise. So all up; compressor fit, retro fit ac to r134A gas system. (currently R12), labour, replace motor, regass etc. ~ $611 Now to get this motor. Anyone know in Victoria who can install compressor and/or motor for cheaper? Thanks - Patrick

Was playing around with diag, where you can change the fan from 41-47. Whilst sticking my hand near the feet vent and alternating through the numbers it opened/closed depending on the numbers i cycled though. Reading previous posts made in 2002~ the main problem seemed to be the tube behind the vent as indicated by gts33t. Will need to pull apart dash to check it out. Will be also going to a few a/c mechs tomorrow to explain the problem. Thanks

Would this also affect the hot air coming through all the vents? When i run the DIAG and switch between 41-45 (different vents) they all blow the same hot air, front vents, demisters, feet etc. Will try and find this diy/pic you have mentioned. Thankyou for the help. Regards Patrick

Today in morning it took less much less time to shift into 2nd. Maybe in 1-3days it should be fixed. Thanks all

After owning the car for a couple of weeks, i noticed that gear 2 was getting rough to shift into and on a couple of mornings i couldnt shift into 2nd until i came to a stop and went 1-2. Yesterday I explained the problem to re customs (victoria) and they flushed the gearbox oil with a special liquid and filled up with redline Today in the morning, i let car warm up for 1min and then went onto my street, gear 1 ~ 1500rpm, tried to shift into 2nd and didnt allow me. Pull over to side of road and start off in 1 and try to 2nd. No luck. Pulled to side of road again and tried once more, this was after 7mins of engine running. Gear 1 then i manage to crunch it through into 2nd. Engine temp was normal during all of this process. Then i just decided to take off on 2nd and avoid all of the 1-2 hassle. Now for the rest of the day, gear 1 to gear2 goes in but there is still a slight resistance shifting into 2nd. Although much less noticeable after the service. Is it common for the cold mornings to cause 2nd from not shifting in? Thought the oil change would have fixed the morning problem but doesnt seem to. Workshop says $300 for syncro's + $800 labour. Should I make this my highest priority before i even think of any mods? ie. instead of finishing off turboback exhaust. Thanks

I bought the car from a compliancer who said it was degassed and regas not included in deal. I took it to AC workshop yesterday who told me that there is plenty of AC gas but the conpressor was broken. So i have no idea whats going on haha. Just wondering why all this hot air is coming out from vents when fan is turned on

Hey, have had my r32 for a couple of weeks and have noticed the inside of the car seems to heat up a fair bit. Whilst having the climate control off and driving a lot of hot air can be felt near the feet. Also when the fan button is pressed, without ac or econ, only hot air seems to flow through and not outside temperature air... With all windows closed the car gets stuffy inside from all this warm air leaking into the car. My AC compressor is dead, but this only works when AC is turned on. Ive tried setting climate control to 18deg and turning off but still get hot air. Have also run the climate control diag and all seems to be fine except for one part; In the sensor recognition part Temperatures will be displayed in the following order (R32): 5 -> Outside air temp -> Inside air temp -> Suction temp -> Refrigerant temp Arriving home 1hr ago, temps are: 5 -> 19 -> 31 -> 43 -> 31 And the inside of the car is much warmer than outside. My suction temp always seems to be much hotter than the other stated temperatures. Maybe this suction temp relates to the same temperature as the hot air flowing out through vents... Anyone have any idea what the problem is? Thanks - Patrick

Went to a panel beater today, and he told me due to so many holes from the gt wing, the bootlid will warp from welding. Told me to either get another bootlid or bog up the 12 holes from the GT wing..... In the end he said, $200~ to fix holes from stock gtst wing and paint exterior. $200~ to paint new spoiler Is the panel beater right? or is he just being noob. Should i just go for the bog for the GT wing holes? If all fails, would anyone be interested in a bootlid+gt spoiler mounted

Pedders Suspension Check
Rekin replied to Rekin's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
When the inspection was finished, they left my car on the hoist and asked me to follow him into the workshop. He then showed me what was wrong and what needed to be fixed, then lowered the car and printed out the invoice etc. Havent done anything yet, looking around at other options. Thanks -
my rpm's fluctuate occasionally when also waiting at traffic lights. An ecu reset seemed to reduce the amount of times it occured but i think i still have the problem. Hopefully someone has a solution to this problem

Thanks blind_elk for the price. I was in the market for a gtr wing for the gtst, but too many people seem to have that wing already, so looked around for any other options. It's a do-luck copy wing for the r32, i reckon the height of it is same/smaller than your standard r32 gtr wing. http://www.do-luck.com/img/nissan/sky/hcr32_1/main_r.jpg

Hello Purchased a more sensible wing for my car and was wondering where I can get it sprayed+fitted in Melbourne? (SE area~ dandy, bayswater, springvale etc...) The underside of the wing has no screw holes and additional holes would be needed in the bootlid. Would anyone be able to come up with an estimate on the painting+fitting for the wing? Im assuming $200~ for paint/fit plus another $200 to fix previous holes in boot. Attached is the spoiler which was purchased today If anyone is interested in purchasing my c-west gt wing just pm me Thanks - Patrick

Pedders Suspension Check
Rekin replied to Rekin's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Pedders charge $110 for a 4 wheel alignment. The above quote is just the front wheel alignment -
Went to pedders today and asked them if adjustable coilovers are illegal, seeing as they sell them. The manager said coilovers are 100% legal, but he may have been looking for a sale . However i doubt the word of a salesman would hold any ground. Hope that helps

Booked in my r32 gtst for a $14 pedders suspension check, seeing as I've only had the car for a week would like to know if there are any problems to be fixed. Results were: Shock absorbers: Left front: 27 Right front: 27 Left rear: 22 Right rear: 24 Pedders stated new shocks are rated 22, so nothing needs to be fixed there. Only problem were: Upper inner bushers worn $137 Slight play lhs mounts moving LAB $132 Wheel align $55 Total ~ $324 Should I go ahead and book the service with pedders? Also spoke to the person about pedders extreme suspension vs japanese made, he says pedders australian built and made for aus conditions plus not as stiff as imported Thanks - Patrick

Dont know if this helps, but its the steps to diag your climate control. Maybe you have a faulty sensor?

monash clayton requires a parking permit to be purchased which lasts for the year. I was one of the top 30 to get 2nd round offers thanks to my 7am line-up haha. 2nd round offers are also cheaper than first round offer so its a win-win situation When i first drove the car to uni i left the parking permit on the other car and quickly drove out when i saw the security car hunting around, luckily he didnt catch me in the 2hrs~ it was standing there. What are you studying at monash and what year?
