    Should I Buy?

Preference really, id prefer a clean r32 over a s1 r33. Im P-Plater so not going to risk it with the power/weight ratio regardless of how many people are doing it. RWC should be ready in 2 days, I heard Vicroads are againts p-platers rocking up with imports to get rego. Any one had issues trying to get rego under their name? For full rego not rego transfer

    Should I Buy?

Just got back from Racepace. My car was the only one missing a GTR badge haha. Saw a couple of SAU stickers on some. A black r32 gtr and a silver r33 gtr. Racepace checked out whole car including compression; (140,135,145,140,135,145) and said it was good mechanically and whole car clean. Couple of minor problems which need to be fixed for road worthy which Ben explained are common faults for this age of car. All will be fixed as RWC included with car. Thanks goes out to Ben and his team at Racepace for inspecting the car and providing honest results. Now to arrange daypass and vicroads rego uff~ - Patrick

    Should I Buy?

$17160 is what i assumed maclarenf1 total cost of his r33 is. im comparing it to my estimated value of $13700 if i go ahead with this deal.

    Should I Buy?

So far it will cost me $13700 with 12mnth rego, stamps, rwc, compliance. Assuming you paid $660 stamps, a total of $17160, we talking about $3500 difference and thats excluding insurance and alarm (seller actually said it has alam but has no idea about it, was a small rectangle with about 16 led's on it and had to disconnect it weird.. lol) and it comes down to preference, you might as well tell me to buy a honda jazz as its new, but we dont really buy these cars to make a profit

    Should I Buy?

Had a chat to him just then, tried to get him to throw in rego/stamps for same price but was not happy with letting it slip for $13k. Asked him to do rego if i paid full for it and said he wont because I need to go personally to vicroads. No deposit has been put down yet so nothing has been confirmed. He wants a deposit when the car is taken for preinspection at racepace and will refund if unsatisfactory.

    Should I Buy?

Its weird, he is technically not a dealer, just a compliancer. I think a dealer needs a license and hence that 3month warranty and 3 day cooling period would apply. Found out that you can just de-tach the spoiler and leave the brackets on the boot so if its too rice/cop trouble i can just pop it off. I havent confirmed any purchase with the seller yet, so i will be contacting him later tonight. There is still the whole issue about the degassed aircon working and who pays the rego. When i was talking previously to the seller he said that if racepace finds any problems he will give back my deposit in cash straight away unlike the other dealer who has yet to send the check....

    Should I Buy?

Sorry forgot to mention that it comes with RWC and full compliance (rear light pending depending which spoiler i choose) Racepace is booked for tomorrow.

    Should I Buy?

It wont take $1000 to fix all the problems? Only problem is that scuff mark and boot holes which is just cosmetic. Thinking of going spoiler/bov-less and getting him to cover rego. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

    Should I Buy?

I just got in contact with him and told him that I've only got $13k and suprisingly he accepted? Thats 13k AS IS with the boot holes and some scuffs around the car. If i get the stock r32 wing ill have a lot of holes from the gt, if i get the gt ill only have 2 holes from the stock wing. Is it still worth $13k cause i need to call him back and accept haha Boot Lid:

    Should I Buy?

thanks for all your input, although Roy's may be a bit out there In regards to the choice of the r33, it is easy to say just another 2grand. But just another 2grand ontop of that could get a r34 and so forth. Also the r33 is illegal for P-Platers and living 5 mins from knox i dont think it would be a good idea I just like the look of the r32 so its really preference. When i first arrived I asked him straight away if the car had any probs with cold starts. He told me to go touch the motor and to feel that its cold. What i might do is call him and offer him $13,000 without the bov and any wing. Seeing as that should add up to be $500~ Many R32 gtst owners are selling their wings on this forum so it shouldnt be a problem. If I take the car as is, that gt spoiler will leave about 12 holes in the boot including the other 2 holes from the stock spoiler. He did the compliancing himself so he should have made money regardless if I brought the car to him for compliancing. He was selling a white r32 for $15,500 but then dropped it to $13,500 after a couple of weeks. A week waiting shouldnt hurt. Althought he told me that he knew SAU so he could be reading this thread hehe. Thanks

    Should I Buy?

Ill be calling the seller tomorrow and tell him $13k with rego. He is asking for too much considering there is no warranty. He had a white one for sale for $15,500 but dropped it to $13,500 couple of weeks ago. He will drop this black one down soon enough.

    Should I Buy?

one of the cleanest r32's i have seen through my car hunting just he is asking for too much. It's not that im stingy its that i dont have that much! After stamps, rego, inur thats another $2000 on top so $16,000 all up. Probably didnt take me serious and hence didnt budge the price. He said he could do $13,500 as is, thats without bootholes fixed and probably no regass of a/c...

    Should I Buy?

Racepace quoted me $80 but were real hesistant and hinted me to try nispro. Cause they are busy they do not want to wait around if i come late. Im sure they have r34 gtr's and r33 gtr's to tune. Saw some outside haha. He didnt drop at all regardless of what i offered him. What i might do is if i plan to purchase it, ill show up with 13k cash or a 14k bankcheck and see which one he wants haha

    Should I Buy?

Hey, Just got back from an inspection of a r32 gtst and would like some member's opinion on it before I go ahead with pre-inspection/deposit. Car is from a compliancer who occasionally imports cars if he sees a good deal. Car is a 1993 black r32 gtst type m and looked in very good condition from what i could see. All the seals around the window were perfect, basically the whole condition of the car was nice. Car comes with a GT wing but he can swap it for a standard r32 wing and bog/respray the existing holes for free. The wing looks rice but it seems to be growing on me! Need people's opinions 17inch impuls, sterio, blitz bov, aftermarket susp. Took it for a test drive and was driving fine. He wants $14,000 with no rego which is a a lot considering i need another $1k for stamps/rego... Probably spend 1hr+ trying to negotiate but was moving. So i left with no deposit and gave him my number. He said he will include spoiler of my choice, respray boot and cut/polish the whole car and regas aircon. Booked a pre-inspection with RacePace as they around the corner from seller. Seller was happy to take it there and claimed had nothing to hide. Racepace told me they trying to get out of the pre-inspection scene as it takes up their time so they werent too happy with my request Okay enough talk here are some pics; What does this do? On the left i had front spoiler controls and on the right i have this fan?
  19. So why cant you just sell the car if you dont like it after 6 months? I doubt depreciation will drop hard in a span of 6 months, so you wouldnt lose that much money if that is the problem?
  20. Im currently 18 years old and first year in engineering course, so similar situation Do you have a job? Or will this car only be paid from insurance claims and student loans? Think about if the money saved up over 4 years is worth the wait. Statistics say a graduate engineer will earn an average of $40,000 in their first year and usually get employed several months after completion of their degree. What would you use this $16k in 4 years time anyways? You could either purchase a better car, or a deposit on a house. Although with a 40k salary im sure a house/car loan will not be an issue My friend recently got a student loan from CommBank of $5000 which he doesnt need to pay off until he finishes his course. He bought him self a bike hehe Ive been saving up for 2 years for my dream and sacrafised many things in order to accomplish it. Working 2 jobs(20hrs) + 21hrs of uni was not an easy task but I knew that every hour I put in would get me closer to my goal. I say go for your dream and purchase the car you always wanted. Once you get the car, it doesnt mean you will be sitting on $0 balance forever. Through this saving up experience im sure you have learnt how to manage your money and this can be applied after you get the car. You achieved your first goal by buying the car, now start saving up for another goal such as a house etc by using the same methods. If you are just as dedicated in your second goal as your first im sure you will be easily able to save up another $8k - Patrick
  21. edit: vins already checked Thanks
  22. Asked a couple of friends about the number and turns out to be some f"cking loser i lost contact with 8 months ago. I still know where he lives....any ideas? lol Guess you cant rely on GreyPages as it gave a wrong address/name and that made things worse haha. Was planning to visit the address and probably startle some innocent residents haha Thanks all
  23. Entered the family name retrieved from greypages in whitepages and no match Should I call the number? lol
  24. Thats exactly how it sounded each time I answered, and i think it kept on looping. I dont think its english or a language at all?
  25. Just did a check and came with address. Will show parents maybe they will recognise it? as i do not....
