  1. Does anyone have a link to a reverse look-up site where you enter a number and it comes up with address details? Just received some really weird calls and would like to know if its a prank by friend or not. My mobile rings at 10pm with a local number displayed so i answer the phone. There is a long pause and then i hear some really weird noises which kept repeating? Not knowing whats going on I just hang up. One minute after, the same number calls, so i hang up before answering. Then it rings again so I answer it and hear the same sound again. So I let the sound play through my phone for about 10 minutes waiting for him/her to hang up. I decide to record the call so i can listen to it later. I hang up after i recorded the call. THEN the home fax starts ringing?! This is when i start to get worried. As I do not know the fax number nor do my friends. The fax stops ringing so I do a *69 check and its the exact same local number... The interesting part is that the fax number is not listed under my name or even my surname, so it wasnt a case of search the name in the whitepages.... I have no idea whats going on?! Thanks Patrick

    Ferrari Crash

Just heard on the radio about a ferrari which crashed in Melbourne today; Fatal crash could have involved second car: police Police are investigating whether a second car was involved in a fatal crash in Melbourne's outer east this afternoon. A 33-year-old Wandin North man and a 22-year-old Traralgon woman were killed when their Ferrari sports car hit a tree on the side of the Warburton Highway at Lilydale. Senior Constable Bradi Owens says they believe another car was in the area at the time. "Police are appealing to any witness to the collision to come forward, in particular police would like to speak to the occupants of a late model silver Ford sedan with orange racing stripes that was seen in the area prior to the collision," he said. Anyone have more information?
  3. With the amount of 13 year old kids on ns.com we may have a hard time but we'll still win I'll be in, depending on time of match -sigsputnik -Let Me Drive -R34GTX -Adrian82 -dezz -silver gts-t - R33_Beast - Rekin
  4. Hey, Question for the r32 drivers out there Been test driving a couple of r32's and noticed when i reach speeds of 60km/h+ i hear some kind of hissing/distortion sound on the right side of the steering wheel, near the air vents. The faster the speed becomes the louder and more irritating the sound is. It sounds like the hissing sound produced by poor quality speakers. When i first heard this sound I came to the conclusion it was due to the poor job of the front bar which was causing air resistance. Then i test drove a different r32 and heard the same sound... Sound only comes from drivers side and no hissing is heard on the passenger side. Radio was turned off in both cars as advised in test drives of cars. Anyone know what this could be? Is this a common fault in r32's? Thanks - Patrick

  6. Just got off phone with dealer. Actually quite suprised as he was not pushy and offered to send me a check of the value of the deposit. I hope this thread has not swayed any of you to think less of the dealer as this incident has only happened to me. Another member has purchased a car from this dealer and had no troubles and actually got a great deal. I guess I was just unlucky. sewid: comparing the Jap interior picture with my own inspection, both km's matched up. So it wasnt wound back when it arrived in australia, It was touched back in Japan Thanks Patrick
  7. Well looks like you're right. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...howtopic=126789 Refer here for rest of story
  8. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...howtopic=126208 Referring to this thread, ive decided to post the conclusion of the story here as I can get more views from forum members who know their skylines. Put a deposit on car on Saturday and told dealer i was coming on Wednesday to take to pre-inspection. He kept telling me inspections are waste of time blah blah but I refused to accept it. He was also interested in which mechanic i was going to. Told him EAS Performance in Victoria Driving to dealer today, he calls me when im 15mins away and tells me that he wont be in but his mechanics will be. Then he continues by saying that they will then follow me to the inspection place. Although it sounded shifty i just agreed and arrived at the dealer. Walk into EAS Performance, and the owner tells me that the dealer called him a couple of days ago. Why would a dealer call my inspection place? I didnt even give him any details of the location or phone number. EAS says it will take 1hour~ After 1hour, the results were not good. Compression test: no.1 = 130psi no.2 = 135 no.3 = 145 no.4 = 130 no.5 = 135 no.6 = 140 Leak down Test: no.1 = 20% no.2 = 5% no.3 = 50% no.4 = 20% no.5 = 15% no.6 = 20% ignition output, fuel pressure, fuel flow, engine facets and gearbox facets, suspension all good. The one major problem is that I believe the car has gone for a swim. Quoting report "Checked interior and found suspect water damage due to heavy water staining in foot wells on carpet underlay and vehicle has a heavy mould odour in interior cabin Rpm tacho damaged cause unknown required further inspection. Checked boot floor and found corrosion in spare tyre well also boot matting and spare tyre cover damaged due to excessive water in boot." That means the water level was up to the boot carpet and the reason tacho playing up could be due to watch damage. "Vehicle exterior seems to have had fresh paint on RH front guard bonnet and front bumper bar. RH rear quarter panel and bar seem to have fresh paint also. " I found some japanese auction pictures from a friend and the car showed a dent on the left side (refer to original link). That was fixed and dealer said nothing about. Maybe the car got cut off, got hit and landed in a river? who knows haha. Now for the most amusing part. Guess who arrives to the inspection workshop. The Dealer himself! So he approaches me as we standing outside and asks how the test went. I tell him that ther is water damage and its been resprayed. He replies with "oh didnt i tell you it was resprayed?" So then he says "I wont be at the dealer when you drop the car off so pass the keys to mechanic". Arrive back at dealer and give them a copy of the report along with the key. Tell him that the price is too high and that the dealer should contact me. When i put down the deposit of $250 we agreed on a value of $13250. Now i dont know what to do.... Should i tell him that I will take it for $10,000 or just pass on the whole deal. Considering he started the compliancing after the deposit he will put up a fight. How much would it cost to fix the engine up? Any advice would be helpful as I will probably get a call from him tomorrow and dont know what to say... Thanks goes out to EAS Performance (Victoria) and Al. - Patrick
  9. Which picture are you referring to? It seems to match? Going tomorrow and taking better camera.
  10. Front lip isnt going anywhere yet Here is another angle of the dissapearing dent. Picture taken in Japan Amazing how the car "arrives" on Friday at dealer and Im there Sat morning with a straight body. Will have to confront dealer about this dent and see how he responds. Booked a full inspection at EAS performance; compression, leakdown test etc on Wednesday. Will keep you guys updated.
  11. With the deposit of $250 I paid, he will have the upper hand in any haggling which will occur now, but im still going to try, and with R32_GODZILLA's permission show the pictures and/or compare my car to his. Dont want to pull R32_GODZILLA into this mess as he may have a good relationship with the dealer and dont want him to suffer. edit: actually, depends really on what mods were provided with R32_GODZILLA's. As the hks bov and tein suspensions would justify the price increase. (yes im trying to find excuses )
  12. R32_GODZILLA was kind enough to forward me the email he received from the import. Two cars were in the email, his gunmetal and my black one. In this email there were pictures of both cars, and I stumbled across this picture which blew me away. There is a dent! There was no dent when i went to inspect so he fixed the damage and remained silent. Dealer or private seller, they would both try to fix/hide any damages. R32_GODZILLA also seemed to get the best condition r32 from the two and a much better price (i think i paid $500~ more). Guess I learnt one of life's lessons
  13. Tried to book a saturday inspection on friday but was a bit too late and that they open till 9-12. I've only got their business number and dont know if they open on sunday. Will try and call them tomorrow and get inspection on Wednesday after the free service.
  14. Dealer said thats a factory Type M front bar? I dont see many Type M's for sale with foglights..? Can someone verify this? Also has electronic front spoiler button inside car and was wondering if it is really TypeM front bar. Thanks
  15. The service is for free but if it wasnt i wouldnt pay. They already doing compliance and rwc so they will try to cut corners already. I told them that after their free service im taking the car to workshop for compression testing etc, dealer kept on telling me stories of workshops trying to sell their own car blah blah and how racv know nothing. So he should do a good service to stop me finding any problems SAU VIC stickers sitting right next to me, cant wait to stick them on the window hehe Edit: Also if anyone has FAST can someone check HCR32295103, i tried the fast thread but im..well impatient. haha
  16. The first two pics are taken by dealer from japan. Those other pics were taken by me today. The car was picked up from docks on Friday and i went to inspect today (Saturday). Thats why the car was running dodgy as it's been 3months+ before it had been started. Basically he showed me the raw condition of car and any mods on the car before compliance I will keep. He just needed a deposit to start the compliancing. I took the car for a quick test drive today, and decided to buy.
  17. Dealer said I pay $200 for immob and he pays $250. Asked him what brand/model and he said "its not one of those name brand ones for $1000 which do the same job" haha, although it may be time before i can buy a decent alarm...I'll probably sleep in my car then haha.
  18. R32_GODZILLA thats a very nice r32 you got there. Yes i went with Glam Imports and Mike was very helpful. I'll PM you my email address so you can send the pics
  19. Yeah, the headlights seemed to look very new also. All shiney along with the front bar. Will be taking to EAS Performance for a full inspection after the dealer services it. Says compliance will take 5 days, so i should have car by 24th Monday. Just worried about the illegal items, the bov, gauges and the tein suspension. He said he can swap to stock suspension if I want. We'll see how it goes
  20. Any criticism is welcomed, that way i can talk to dealer and get it fixed/resolved. Bad points about the car, flake rust under the spare tyre and on the spare it self. Guess it rubbed onto the rubber. Rust near the battery tray. Engine seems a bit too clean. The car also comes with a peice of original fabric which can be used to fix any holes which there arent and original skyline mats. Also, dealer said he can install immob and central locking for $200 approved by insurance companies. Should i take his offer? Or buy a decent alarm straight off. Was thinking quiktrak for $1000 from a deal on ns.com - Patrick
  21. HCR32295103 given on invoice, although car not complianced yet? Thanks
  22. Hooray deposit put on my first skyline 04/1993 black r32 gts-t Type M, manual. Car just came out of docks so it hasnt been tuned or complianced. Some white smoke at startup and the rpm needle was jumping around 5-7000 but engine load remained constant. Included in car; Tein shocks, cd/md player, cd stacker in boot, bodykit, hks airpod, a bov?, apexi boost gauge, 3inch catback with 5inch muffler (forgot brand), Aftermarket steering wheel (forgot brand). Condition of car was really good. Dash board had no expanding/shrinkage and barely any bubbles. Seats had no wear at all. kilometres say 103250 and saw a service sticker on door jam saying 103170. Car will have full service done at dealer/workshop and then will take to import workshop to get a final test done, compression etc. If any major problems i can cancel deal. Dealer kept on insisting me to put it up on his hoist and look under. Took some pics of the shocks and everything was straight. Managed to get price to: $13250 including: - 12month rego ~ $500 - RWC - 1year warranty ~ $600 - Transfer ~ $500 - Fix any misc problems i find. So about $11600 for the car. Took the car for a test drive and a police man gave me a dirty look, probably cause i had no rego and heard a bov. My photography sucks so i didnt manage to get any decent pics, but ill show them anyways.
  23. grr dealer said car will be at workshop today, just called and he said it's still at docks. Not happy at all, considering I booked pre-inspection and was prepared. Dealer now says Friday... Does anyone know if Racingline, UPI or ICE are open saturday/sunday? May plan pre-inspection then but dont want to call and waste their time as car isnt confirmed to arrive on Fri... Cant find any workshops close to Campbellfield so at least I'll have a long test drive. - Patrick
  24. Yeah, I'll talk over with Sam about the dyno when i go for the inspection.
  25. Get a bmw 325is - 2.5litre. Usually under 20k and have about 160kw stock. Was looking at getting one, but getting r32 instead Edit: oops see you want 1998-2000, those pics are from 1990-1995 i believe.
