  4. Thanks all for your input. After reading the opinions and looking back on the inspections. I'd rather wait until a better one shows up. What i was originally after was a 1993 gun metal r32, but thought the black one was a good deal. In the meantime, i will postpone the searching until the semester hols in which i will have my license. Regards - Patrick
  5. Seller states the car comes with kyb shocks and springs but is unsure. The ride did feel really bumpy, but have not been in a clean r32 to benchmark againts. I'm actually considering that white R32, although $15,000 is a bit too expensive at the moment. Would also need to include insurance ($2500~) So it would add up to $18,000 to get it on the road... Even if he drops it by $1000, thats still a hefty price. I could probably get the black R32 down to 10-11 if i pay in cash or half loan the white r32. Decisions hrm..
  6. That white R32 is real nice, might consider it Aftermarket steering wheel will be replaced with stock and the big boost gauge will be removed and a small one will be placed near the drink i think. - Patrick
  7. On the inspections, sterio, speakers, amp, headunit were all connected. Although he removing all of them because he has another car lined up. To me it seems that he has cut corners to save money. Friendly words keyed into bonnet, and a hacked up boot with wires everywhere. My P-Plate exam is on the 2nd June, so not long to go hehe Browsing through forums and carsales, the majority of R32's for sale are 1989 and reaching up to the $15,000 mark which i reckon is too steep for a stock. Although if i get the hacked up R32 for $10,000 and add $3,000 fixing it up, it will have more supporting modifications than a stock + $3k Thanks for the feedback - Patrick
  8. Thanks for the reply darK. Car has registration until November 2006. The car has 16inch rims at front and 18inch rims at back. He said due to always changing his rims (cant decide) this is why the car slightly turns to the left. Although he stated that you could just adjust the steering wheel as the turn is minor. He has both sets of rims (16 and 18) and set the choice of rims is up to me, but will probably provide the 16's if i ask for a lower price. The car is located in Springvale, so if anyone can come or know a workshop around Springvale, Glen waverly, Clayton which can do a pre-inspection please contact me. I have had two inspections of the car and basically deciding if i should take the plunge. The seller stated that he gets his car serviced at N1 in Clayton. Also he will not allow anyone drive the car unless a deposit is put down as he had a bad experience with test drivers. I have received some pictures and taken some of my own of the interior, engine bay and boot. I will upload some when i get back from uni, and hopefully the seller is not a member of this forum. Thanks all - Patrick
  9. Hello After searching the market for a couple of months, I have stumbled across a R32 for sale which suits my budget. Before I rush out to purchase the car, I was just wondering if I could get some feedback if its worth the price. The specs are: 1992 R32 GTST Manual, 120km PRO - Resprayed from red to black couple of months ago - GTR seats - Full moulded BN bodykit - JustJap FMIC - HKS SSQV BOV - HID lights - Amp Wiring intact - Catback exhaust - GTR radiator - Alarm, central locking, imob - Aftermarket suspension - Turbo timer & boost gauge - Front, rear struts - Pod CONS - Aircon needs regass - Deeply keyed gtr bonnet - No headunit - No speakers in rear or front - Engine Bay had not been sprayed. - Carpet removed from boot revealing original red colour - Minor wheel alignment needed due to rims - Breaks squeak Seller said he willing to sell around the $12,000 - $13,000 depending what i want fixed/included. But will try to negotiate on lower price. I have inspected the car and have been in a ride. As i currently do not have my P's (18 and in uni) I cannot take the car for a test drive, but from the ride the car seemed okay. If everything goes well, i might arrange a pre-inspection with Dr.Drift. Or if anyone has a 1992-1993 Gunmetal R32 GTST for $9,000 - $13,000 for sale in VIC, please PM me Thanks for your help Regards Patrick
  10. http://www.australian-universities.com/rankings/ I recommend Victoria, which has Melb Uni and Monash Uni. The choice of university should depend on that your course is. For example, Monash University (Clayton Campus) is ranked number 1 in Australia for engineering and 18th in the world (for engineering). There was a website with this detail but i have lost it. Google should pick it up
  11. Can anyone post the link to the DIY LED rear skyline logo, found it ages ago but cant seem to pick it up in search results. Thanks - Patrick
  12. haha my driveway declines into a steep hill..have trouble getting the 1.6Litre Getz up over it. Keep the posts coming, lots of different opinions!
  13. Guess I'll be the first to say Happy Birthday haha  Yeah when i think about it, it will be more cost effective to just drive the auto around and when I do purchase my first manual car i dont have to take it on the road as soon as I get the keys. Probably spend a couple of weeks practising at a carpark so i dont stress and kill the car when i stall on a busy road. Thanks - Patrick
  14. When you go for your probationary license you choose if you are going manual transmission or automatic. With a Manual licence you can drive both auto and manual, whilst on auto you are restricted. The automatic car which will be available for me is a 2003 Hyundai Getz and my mother clearly stated that she does not care about any scratches, dings, accidents which may occur. As she is on rating 1 and has no use for the car she does not mind what i do with it. As she will be paying for the rego and insurance, it is a cheap alternative for me until i can afford a r32. Also the fact that owning your own car is a step into independence and respect for what you are driving. However obtaining my own car, around the $5000 mark, would lead to rego, insur, rwc, plenty of repairs and a dieing engine which all could be saved up for the r32... Also from what I have read, a 1990 - 1993 model R32 GTST is legal at the moment for P-Plates but with the new laws coming out next year it may cause some issues. Thanks all
  15. Hello Being my 18th on April it's time to start thinking about my P-Plate. After spending years on automatic I believe its time to perfect manual driving. I have two options and would like to hear some opinions from the fellow P-platers and full license drivers on this forum. The options presented to me at this point is: Plan 1: - Purchase a Manual car $3000~$5000 in Jan or Feb 2006 - Learn and Practice Manual until April - Obtain Manual P-Plate licence - Continue driving manual car until i purchase a manual r32 gtst Plan 2: - Learn from instructor 10 - 20hrs - Obtain Manual P-Plate license - Drive Parents automatic cars until i purchase a manual r32 gtst Both plans have their advantages and disadvantages and its hard to choose which one. As one of the family car's will always be at home, due to mother taking train to city, the automatic car will always be available for me. However as its fairly new (2003) it would be a shame to scratch or ding it. Having my own car would lead to insurance, maintence etc but it will be the only manual car in the house. Parents think that manual only takes a couple of hours to learn as it only involves moving a stick and the actual road skills have been absorbed through my automatic training. Which makes me question why VicRoads have two probationary licenses, Manual and automatic, if it is all the same... Or Plan 3 for those crazy people : - Just buy the r32 on my 18th and have fun. Would like to hear your opinions. Also how would i create a poll for this thread as it may be easier to come to a solution. Thanks All - Patrick
  16. willing to pay with a verified Paypal account also.
  17. Most people here are talking about getting a R33 S2 which costs around the near $20,000. He mentioned his maximum budget to be around $13,000. You would only get a S1 for that money and in my opinion I prefer the S2. I'm currently saving up for an R32 gts-t because for now i think they are P-Plate legal (melbourne) and look nice. R33 S1 are becoming real popular and are seen everywhere. A 400r kit on a r32 is not bad
  18. hahaha.... Any plans on selling it?
  19. I was waiting seven days for the auction to end and i was certain i was going to win... Not happy at all... and yes I want it more than ever haha. However the one on ebay did not come with a box or the certificate. Hopefully one person out there on SAU-Land is keen on updating their watch and selling their 'old', 'plain' gtr watch - Patrick
  20. After losing an Ebay auction by a couple of dollars I am not happy and still want the GTR Legend Limited Edition Watch. Attached is a picture of the watch which I would like to buy. I am willing to spend a maximum of $150 including Postage for this watch. I hope someone out there can help me as im kicking my self for losing the auction...... Please contact me by PM or email me at [ p.antosk [at] optusnet.com.au ] Thankyou very much - Patrick
  21. http://www.edgeemu.com is a Good site. - Patrick
  22. As requested I have uploaded the video's but dont expect them to be good. Video 1: Bass Junky and AdzMax were next to each other Video 2 Bass Junky and AdzMax leaving lights Nothing great but at least something. Enjoy Thanks - Patrick EDIT - R31Nismoid - PM if issues
  23. haha, the video's arent anything spectacular and are becoming overated because you cant see it The video's are nothing illegal, just some take-off's from lights and my camera can’t record sound so nothing special. I'll wait till Boost Junky replies in this thread if i should bother uploading. Another thanks to Paul for having enough space for three people in the car. Formal wasn’t that great, apart from our physics teacher (Romanian with a large beard) popping some moves on the dance floor. After the formal had finished, my friends agreed that they would gladly pay $60 each to keep on driving rather than the formal dinner. So if you four, Bass Junky, Adzmax, NismoR34 and Paulr33, are ever free we will be waiting eagerly to see those 4 round lights Thanks - Patrick
  24. Hello We would like to thank everyone who emailed and replied in the forums for our formal ride. As some people may have forgot, I was looking for 4-5 skylines to drop us off at our end of year formal, what better way to arrive ey. Bass Junky, Adzmax, NismoR34 and Paulr33 took the offer and drove us to the formal. I can safely say that we are still smiling from last night's event. As this was our first experience of a turbo and a skyline you have left one hell of an impression, what better way to experience it for the first time than in Peter's highly modified beast. We are still craving for more and my friends are trying to come up with an excuse where we may have another ride. The skylines were the talk of the formal as every car was an old limo and boy did people envy us haha. Also thanks goes out to GTIARR, Leewah and Golgo for offering their rides but due to external factors were unable to attend. NismoR34 if you wouldnt mind sending or uploading the pictures you took as I plan on professionally printing and framing the beach scene. Thanks again to the people who attended and the SAU forum which made this possible. You guys rock! More pictures can be found here. If you want the original size of the picture please email or PM me. Some pictures may be blurry due to the fast acceleration from Bass Junky's R34 I also have two video's but will only post once i get a confirmation from Bass Junky Thats enough talk out of me, now to show some pics Thanks all - Patrick
