well these guys knew what they were doing. Opening two new bank accounts, hiding them within options & transferring money from my accounts into them. They moved three transactions on the 27th, 29th & 4th. So there would have been multiple logins before I logged in to see the mess. Didnt help that I was in the middle of refinancing & loan applications which had money moving & new accounts popping up (offset accounts, loan accounts etc)

They don't have cvv number or expiry date. That should hopefully stop them.Can I hire you as my bounty hunter? Find Angus & Natasha

The PayPal rep on the phone was following the payment trail from my account. Was being resent to other PayPal accounts after the initial deposit. Will see what the banks say tomorrow.

Can't gut the account as you require an sms code for any bank transfers. A PayPal direct debit avoids this verification hence why they went along this way.Done all the updates/scans. My system is clean. (I have a paid subscription provided by work - which themselves use vip Symantec app on my phone)

They managed to login with my unique ID + password ; and the only place you type unique ID is for internet banking. So no doubt a keylogger on a computer. Only place i login is on my phone, personal laptop & work laptop which are safe. The last place I recall outside of the norm would have been my mortgage brokers computer to print bank statements... Have raised the concern with them...makes a perfect target...Small family-operated franchise dealing with plenty of bank information, wouldn't have the same level of security as banks etc However the Bank should have 2-step verification if opening a bank account...very easy to open account & overdraw

yeah I reckon, they blocked the accounts & gave me PayPal's phone number to call. It gets tricky, cause PayPal will refund to the new accounts which have been blocked. Will then have to go to bank & get them to transfer it back into my account.

Once you login, its only a few clicks to create a new bank account. Only if you transfer money you need a sms passcode but payments are deducted instantly (such as PayPal deduction) The guy must have slipped up, he left one of the accounts visible which showed -$400 overdraft. Went digging around & found the hide accounts option & discovered another account hidden. He managed to transfer 2x $600 from my savings account into the hidden account & used PayPal to deduct the amount. Picked up that I had missing $1200 from my existing account, however if he hid the overdraft account there would have been no trace

someone gained access to my internet banking account & opened two bank accounts. They then hid the bank accounts under Options so was unaware. They then transferred money from my savings account into the hidden bank account. Which they then used PayPal to withdraw the money. Only way you can verify a bank account with Paypal is to confirm the deposit amount made by PayPal. Got the bank to block the two accounts, now i need to chase up PayPal for refund. There goes $1600

sorry to hear there is an 'us & them' culture at your site. The corporate panzies should try & fix it instead of waving their own power-card. Respect for both sides will always lead to a better resolution. What about the repercussions if Leigh's room-mate complies with his demands? You will only create a tense environment in his own home & the room-mate may take out his disapproval in other ways. (Letting her stay until midnight each night - if you only said she cant stay the night etc) Dont shit where you eat. Sure he can kick him out & go through the effort to find another room-mate but if all of this could have been resolved by having a respectful 5min conversation, things could be a lot easier in the long-run.
