help locating secondhand exhausts in aus
J-Flash replied to Spook's_Skyline's topic in General Automotive Discussion
Hey Dude, I have just ripped my mild steel system off to replace it with a stainless turbo back system. The old one is in great condition, I don't know the brand but it goes from 3" to 3.5" just after the cat with a dirty big muffler on it (not cannon style) with a 4"or 5" tip. I will take sum pics of it tomorrow and post em up. If ya like it make me an offer and organize ya own freight from Port macquarie. Later, J-Flash -

Hey Guys, I went to have my new X-Force stainless steel turbo back exhaust fitted today. Turned up to my exhaust guy. He suggested we leave the car for a couple of hours to cool down, which seemed logical. Then it came time to get it to take the old one off. He tried to loosen the bolts on the turbo (exhaust outlet) and he said they would not budge. Because they were actual bolts and not nuts on the end of a fixed bolt he said he was unwilling to push them as they might snap and then we have to pull the whole turbo off have some trouble. He has got me to spray this special penetrative lubricant (from the deepest mountains of germany) every time the car has cooled down on the join of the turbo and exhaust until next tuesday (18/05/04). He reckons that this will work. Has anyone else came across this problem before. Has anyone given these bolts a good yank and had no problems. Please let me know your thoughts guys. Cheers, J-Flash

Advan Racing Mags 17x8s 17x9s (Perth)
J-Flash replied to fane's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
Dude get these rims they are Phat. I have them On my White 94 R33 and I love them. They polish up a treat and theres not alot out there that look similar. 3 spoke rims don't look great on alot of cars but they were made for skylines!!! Do Ya self a favour. I would loan ya the money myself if I was rich guy. But alas I am only moderately wealthy!!! LOL Good luck, J-Flash -
Hey guys, I have a brand new Turbosmart VEE Port Type 2 BOV + R32 adapter 4 sale. This item was purchased 10 days a go (now the 11/5/04) and was on my car 4 four days. My wife drives the car as well and she was stopped and hassled by the cops. This would not worry me but it did worry her. So I have had the order to put a plumb back on it. So some one is gonna score a cheap brand new BOV. As stated this comes with an R32 bolt on adapter however I had this on my R33. The only difference is it sits parrallel with front bar as opposed to purpendicular to it on an R32. Otherwords the adapter has a right angled bend in it. This BOV sounds great. I am gonna miss it. Got the factory on at the moment till I sell this for my Plumb back!! Paid $329 for the BOV and $79 for the adapter. I want $250 for both. I will not seperate. Call me (Jamie) 0n 0422 441972 or e-mail [email protected] Cheers, J-Flash

Hey Billy_W, I just got my skyline 2 weeks ago. I went to all the yards on parra road and out of 20 or so cars there was maybe 1 or 2 that were any good but were too dear. I ended up seeing the guys at Northshore prestige motors at balgowlah. Go to www.northshoreprestige.com.au and have a look at their current stock list. If you have questions give Ben a call and tell him Jamie sent ya and he will look after ya. My car is great and got a good set of mags thrown in as well, can't guarantee he'll do the same but he will do what he can. They are a bunch of young guys having a crack! Can't hurt to find out. Let me know how ya go. Cheers, J-Flash

MR_Fanny, Did ya lose any smoothness in your ride. Does it hit the bumps any harsher! I'd rather do nothin' if the difference is significant. Thanks for ya comments. Ya couldn't get me a set at thta price could ya! wink wink nudge nudge.LOL Cheers, J-Flash

Hey guys, Can anyone recommend a good cheap lowering option for my R33 GTS-T (1994). It has been suggested to me to get a set of King Springs and lower it with them. Not the Super lows' , but just enough to make it look a bit slicker! About 30mm. I do intend in the future (12 months or so) to get some Tein adjustable suspension, but until the pesos materialises I would like a cheap alternative that won't make the ride to stiff as I drive it 500k's per week!! Look forward to your responses. Cheers, J-Flash.

I didn't want and body kits and stuff for now. cheers let me know when ya get yours!! Cheers, J-Flash -
Hey Guys, After much searching and debate. I am now the proud owner of my first skyline. It is not the one as my avatar shows( I will post a pic as my avatar soon). I have bought a White R33 GTS-T July 94 model. STOCK AS A ROCK. The car shows 56K on the clock. Whether this is true I don't know. Documentation supports it. The car was presented immaculately and the overall condition of the car supports the suggestion of 56000km. I have since had it checked by a profeesional and a couple of likely lads that also support the idea that this could be true. So now the aftermarket journey begins. I have bought a Hybrid FMIC Cooler kit, I have installed a Turbosmart Vee Port BOV and K&N High Flow filter. I have ordered a 3" Turbo back exhaust with a high flow cat from X-Force in mild steel with a stainless dump pipe (got this for $1000 delivered great deal give-em a call) Getting my 3 point immobilser installed on tuesday with keyless entry and getting a custom parcel tray for my kenwood 6*9's (no other speaker for me). Gotta see how much cash I got left to get and electronic boost controller to take advantage fo the new gear (occasionally of course) any suggestions would be greatfully recieved or if anyone knows of any bargains please post a message! Then thats it for a while. This is my work car so I get to drive it every day (F*&k yeah) Thats if my missus doesn't want to use it (she loves driving it already). Just finally The guys I bought it off, Northshore Prestige cars at Balgowlah in Sydney were an absolute pleasure to deal with. I had searched everywhere for a decent car. Been to heaps of car yards and all of the cars I seen and or test drove were either totally dogdy or not what they were being sold as. One place it took four guys to navigate this liner out the driveway it was so slammed and they tore up the front bar doing it. The car said 60000 k's on but it looked and drove like a hundred and fifty and they wanted 26k for it. The gear knob was just coming off in my hand. LOL dodgy as. Anyhow i would thoroughly recommend Northshore Prestige as a stop to make on your journey to search for a decent skyline. They are also willing to throw in stuff like exhausts and wheels that they take off the cars to compliance them. Give Ben a call and he will sort you out. A+++. I will post some pics soon. Keep on Skylinin'. Cheers, J-Flash
