  5. ive searched RnR but not convinced that its that.. anither thing is when it starts boosting (before it hits the wall) it soulds like the psi coming out some where from the left hand side, sounds odd and its hard to explaind but ive looked at thres for the last couple of months tryi to diagnose this problem
  6. well the guy that advice me to do that organises all the drift meets here, forgot to mentioned i thort i might have blown the turbo so i took it out and checked it but it seems to be fine and ive also put another standard turbo on just to eliminate that possability, ive wound it back down to standard psi, now its running rich on idle and when it starts boosting feel like you hit a wall

  8. yeah standard ecu stand turbo, it has pwr intercooler and full exuast system. it had a e manage but i took it out to get 1.3 bar, i was told it was safe.

Hi all! need some major help with my skyline, renctly wound the boost up to 1.3 bar for a track day, long story short blew exuast manifold gasket, put a new one in took it for a drive and the car hesitates to boost, at about .3 bar it feels like it hits a wall. looses all power until you take foot off the throttle and it will come back to life. Ive changed; Spark plugs and gaped to .8 new coil packs AFM checked; sensors boost leaks- none that i could find with carby cleaner Also tried re setting the ECU Can any body throw some suggestions my way??

  11. okay i will buy a new set of plugs and coilpacks just to put this a rest. i am positive its not that but... ill be pissed if that was the only problem haha
  12. i am trying to rule out all the little things it could be. I ve found a broken earth wire that connects to the turbo, could this be a problem? It seems every person i ask or has had the same problem say diffirent things ;(
  13. No cylinder 6 is the one with oil in it and tested at 135. Cylinder 1 is the one that tested 120 either way still think we've found the problem. Rebuild!
  14. Compresstion test= 120, 135, 135, 140, 145, 135 Last cylinder has i tiny bit of oil in it.. Any suggestions?
  15. I changed the turbo last night to make sure there wasnt any cracks or leaks, re gaped sparkies to .6. Ive checked and checked for leaks. The car runs rough as guts on idle. Doing a compression test tomorrow just to make sure then will start the elimination process again
  16. i think i might have same problem with a couple tiny diffrences, i blew the exaust manifold gasket and i can get to about 2psi but the rest sound the same. changing turbo out tonight hopefully fixes the problem
  17. good point there! i am lookin at gettin splitfires for it any way, but when it starts spooling it sound like its realising the air from the same side as the turbo. its hard to explain it is very weird
  18. while car was running i un clipped each individual coilpack with change in idle for each one
  19. ive checked coils and there all good i ve checked for leaks and could find nothing at all, i am ganna pull the turbo off tonight and check for cracks. i am startin to think there might be a crack in the waste gate maybe..
  20. exaust gasket, its not blowing any smoke that i can see, i got fuji spark coil packs as it is a budget car at the moment, but i checked coilpacks last night and there all fine so i changed plugs and still runs like ass. ive narrowed it down to a "boost leak" but question is how to i find it??

Recently had a track day and managed to blow a manifold gasket, upgraded to a steel gasket and put the car back together. took it for a drive to make sure she was running right and it runs terrible, hesitating coughin when boost starts to come on. sort of like the coil packs are shafted but ive only replaced them about 3 weeks ago. any body got any ideas?????
