I think the diagram means to get you boost reading from the Fuel Pressure Regulator. Either way, this is something you should NOT do. The boost line you originally spliced into behind the intake to get your boost reading is correct. If this didnt work then your gauge is faulty or you've wired the +ve incorrectly.
