  1. I started this build 3 yrs ago after burning a valve, and as you do you crack the engine and see what you don't expect. After stripping the engine down I found out beside a new valve, I also needed a new crank which had a nice hair line crack thru an oil journal. I installed a new R33 crank which was slightly modified, trust pistons & rods with ACL bearings. I had the compression, deck hieight, & squish modified. I also installed stainless 1mm over sized IN & EX valves. I retained the cams that were already in the engine which where old school " TOMEI 260's " which I found engraved in the shafts. I believe that's what they did before they made PON & PRO versions. I decided to do an external oil pump setup which I did myself. I used a moroso single stage oil pump and contracted an awesome fabricator called Billet Motorsport in Vic to make me brackets and front pully out of billet aluminum. The front crank drive pulley is a one piece item to reduce possible component failure and the brack system was all NC'ed with billet spacers and bolts. I had it done to match the Ati balancer I chose to install. Next step was to modify a RB30 oil pump by removing it's gears & topping off it's oil feed gallery so I could connect braided feed lines to the external oil pump. I contracted Brad at Westside Mufflers to make a custom 9ltr sump extension with windage gates, custom pickups & drain. Once the sump was completed I contracted Westend Performance Engines to machine, build & assemble the engine. With the engine completed and dropped into the bay I continued with the oil pump system. I got Steve from Earls to come take a look and get his advise on the best fittings and lines to use. After making all the Earls lines and fittings the installation was simple. Getting close to starting the engine I started thinking about what fuel I wanted to run and after 2 sec of thought I decided with E85. I consulted Adam at Just Engine Management, he advised me that I would need approx 30% more fuel capacity so I decided to ditch my 700cc injectors and get Xspurt Bosch 1600's. At this stage my GTR was still running the Haltech E11v2, seeing the capabilities of the new Platinum Pro plugin ecu I decided to sell the E11 and upgrade. It was very tempting to sell the T88 setup and get a more modern design turbo but I knew it would perform since I had already install a 6boost split pulse manifold which made a massive difference on the previous engine. So eventually Adam at JEM loaded it onto his dyno for the run in. After running it in on the dyno for a while it ended up with 405kw on gate pressure 1bar spring which I was very happy with. I put the km on it, installed 2x -6 Teflon braided lines from each fuel pump to each side of my fuel rail to give it the best chance of supporting the power I was hoping for. After 6 mths went by Adam loaded it up again on the 4WD dyno. 2nd dyno run it was already at 488kw, 3rd run 512kw, 4th run in it made an amazing 525kw at 4 wheels on 25psi and has 22psi of boost at 4,700rpm. during that run we could see the 2 Walbro pumps were getting to their limits so I decided that was enough for now until I upgrade them. I'll upload all my pics & vids of the build next. Hope you like it
  2. It looks like the non ball bearing version. Is this correct?
  3. Bob, next time you go see John I'll give you a portable HDD so you can start downloading his brain. You think 1TB will be enough?
  4. Will the oil cooler fit on a fully sik barina carby?
  5. Mate I think the price is fair. It seems that some people are out of touch with how much it actually costs to build/modify a RB26. Good luck with the sale
  6. With brackets, willing to spend $250. With globs if possible, I wouldn't know which ones I'd need.
  7. Looking for non-projector style head lights for r32 gtr. I think they are from N1 version

  13. I have driven this car and can confirm it's everything the new owner says plus more. Something that isn't mentioned is that it has a fully built engine running 272 cams and a T88-33D http://www.youtube.com/user/JEMdyno#p/a/u/0/ou_chV5cbvI
  14. Thought I'd give you heads up, BNR32 refers to the chassis of the GTR not the body guards or flares so you may want to correct your description.
  15. Love your avatar! HOT! ouch
  16. I need a whole lot of bolts for my GTR build up. Unfortunatly my engine shop lost a bag of mine and can't find them. Here is a list, - Engine mount bolts that bolt to the block (both sides) - Power steer bracket bolts that bolt to block, - A/C bracket bolts that bolt to block, - Crank flywheel bolts, - Thermostat housing bolts, - Idle controller motor bolts (motor that bolts under plenum) - Bell housing bolts (engine to geartbox) Anyone wrecking a R32 GTR would be perfect. Thanks
  17. I saw this GTR at Show Car Sunday a few months back and I have to say it was stunning. A great platform for some real serious mods. Good luck with the sale.
