  3. SilverS2, pm'd thanks for everything guys, ive ordered a few parts, a new K&N apollo pod filter, ARK Design Boost Controller, and a Turbosmart Boost gauge, which should be here next week, i take it that ill have to return the standard setup when i take out that GFB boost controller?

  5. i went for a drive again, and you can hear the car boost but its gutless, and sounds rough the whole car vibrates more then it should almost making a WRX sound when accelerating, the idle sound is still rough thats the best description i can give right now! ill start looking around for an AFM, i really hope its only the AFM and nothing serious... thanks for your input mate
  6. unplugging the AFM will make the idle horrible, so i need to get my hands on another pink label AFM? it needs to go regardless since the top mounting flange on it is snapped.. Should i worry about the hoses? if they are in the right place or not, how can i find out

I looked at that Controller and it has no screw in it, but i can see the thread im a bit lost to where my problem would be, can i rule anything out like AFM, pod filter? http://i1272.photobucket.com/albums/y396/Adrian701/IMG_0140_zps511f9081.jpg - what about these nipples, clearly their are hoses missing off them, and that bolt i found in the pipe nipple kinda puts me off.. Where would i go from here, thank you!

  10. im afraid not, could this be related to my initial problem, car getting rough when you put your foot down/ loss of power? ive listened carefully to the idle as well, and its a bit rough too.. previous owner claimed that the coilpacks are new, so that would be safe to rule out?
  11. yeah i was wondering what that was, so its clearly missing the 2 hoses but i couldnt find the where they would plug in, any thoughts? thanks

I took some photos so i can explain it better: http://i1272.photobucket.com/albums/y396/Adrian701/IMG_0134_zps7bb973ee.jpg In this one i found the circled hose being off, and im uncertain what the black box it came from is.. http://i1272.photobucket.com/albums/y396/Adrian701/IMG_0137_zpsea39cd84.jpg Where im pointing on this, there is a mixture of water and something else overflowing just to the rim of that larger hose, but the hose loops around to that pulley from the left of my hand (water pump?) http://i1272.photobucket.com/albums/y396/Adrian701/IMG_0133_zpsc99e6ba4.jpg And in this one, you can see the AFM bracket mount is snapped (previous owner tried to super glue it -.-) the right hand side bolt on the pod filter just pulls out so its not vulcanized in the rubber anymore and the left one is not far from it too, and that F*** off bracket is completely been made wrong side it dosent even bolt on, thats no problem since i can make a new one myself i have also tightened all my head cover bolts, since they all seem to have atleast another turn to them.. the furtherest ones so closest to the windscreen seem like they have been leaking over the time very slowly the ECU is stock im pretty certain, and uncertain of the boost i ran my fingers across all the piping and i cant see or feel for any damage/leaks thanks for all the help again!
  13. okay right, first off i should say the bad things started happening around 3000rpm to 4000rpm and beyond that i did not continue accelerating since things got messy, i have a dodgy boost gauge that came with the car and seems to function but id rather not go with it for a correct pressure reading. when i bought the car i did see that the podfilter bracket that holds it, is broken and now its just dangling on the shell, and also the AFM bracket is snapped, so there is not a full seal from filter to AFM to piping, could this be the problem? if so, new pod filter and AFM?

So i have rescently purchased a r33 gts-t s2 1996, it ran fine for a few days until now when i took it for a drive and drives okay, but when i put my foot down and accelerate and hit boost it just gets rough, the whole car shakes, my foot on the acceleration shakes, it feels like the power just dies out.. im no big mechanic guru so i cant really get my head around this, any help will be appreciated! cheers

  16. thanks for your share guys, ill definately start looking more in to all these options, i just needed a few ideas first! and Ahbee just over $2000 sounds like a very resonable price for your setup, have you done all the installments yourself? if so how did you go about it
  17. hi guys, im pretty much new to the whole skyline scene! after looking around on the web i cant seem to find too much on what would be really ideal to go aftermarket on, so im hoping someone can shed some light for a car planned to be used as 80% daily and 20% track whats to go for? bigger sways rods links i have installed BC BR coilovers but thats about it any help is appreciated p.s im also looking into upgrading to a r34 gtr braking system very soon, from what i heard this would be the best option for my scenario thanks
