  6. ^^^^ Thanks mate Don't see what the big Whoha is about buying a set of nitto rods, do it right the first time isn't it? The guy above is right my nitto rods cost me $630 I'm not going on a budget build to have shit break or fail.... 400+hp is just a rough figure... I'm not in it to make a huge amount of power, if the power gets up there then that's a bonus, I don't want too much lag... R31nismoid I asked a question on what turbo to get for what I want not for what rods I'm using, as been said 400+hp is just a figure was I will be aiming for the max hp I can get with my setup, I don't mind spending $630 on nitto rods if they are hell alot stronger then a set of used rb26 rods and in conjunksion with that I thank everyone for there input with running the rb26 yeah it would of been a "cheaper" option but you pay for what you get I guess

  10. just so you have a idea of $$$ for building a motor.... guy i bought my r33 off had the motor built... he spent $7000... all it got him was forged je pistons 20th oversize, scat rods, arp bolts, stud head, block bathed, bored and all that, head got full service and stage 1 cams, n1 oil pump, new water pump, prob some other bits here and there.... got him 2000ks worth of driving (abuse).... and a bottom end that burnt the rods, rod bearings scored #6 bearing was stuck to crank, crank scored... oh and snapped 5 out of 6 oil squiters... lol
  11. Do any mods need to be carry out for rb25 rods I know the crank has a bigger stroke but are the rods the same in length etc? Should I do anything to second rb26 rods before install?

  14. That's the power I'm hoping for, but I believe and builder believes it may see pass the 400hp mark but I want it reliable and driven daily, think I may just go the nitto
  15. I would get scat again but I can't find anyone that has them? Anyone know? Thats why I'm looking at these two, Goals is for a daily driven rb25 with around 400+hp here and there, no drift use ATM will see the 1/4 mile maybe twice and a circite run here and there,
  16. Hi, looking in to buying some rods for my rb25 I have je pistons was using scat rods but done a bearing so looking at a set of nitto or spool, anyone heard anything of each? Or they pretty much the same?

Haha so I don't wanna cross that path I think the engine builder thinks I'm using a standard pump when I am using a n1 so I'm sure when I tell. Him he will say to put restrictors in

  21. Ok so I have spoken to another engine builder which has told me not to put oil restrictors in the head as it been a hydraulic lifters and cams? He it would make the lifters noise, said it will be find on a rb26 for oil restrictors, he said he will mod the oil galleries and grub screw the oil jets and put drive collar on the crank
  22. ok car is been built for street use daily driven, well see the 1/4mile and some hard use here and there got a rb25det which had a n1 oil pump on there but i am rebuilding the motor and want to know which oil pump am i better off using? as of the storys in regards to the gears in the n1 pump stuffing out, dont wanna rebuild it just to have a stuff oil pump after 1000ks will be putting extended drive collar on the crank also with the n1 pumps been high flow what do i have to do with the oil restrictors and the head back to sump drain? anyone shred some light on these points mods are je pistons 0.20tho eagle rods arp 2000 bolts acl race bearings studded head ff plenum fmic power fc probably gt3540 thanks
