  3. Errrrr.... isn't that the pic of one of the many fake so-called R35 GTRs that was circulating around the net?
  4. I still can't find a place that has Delvac in Melbourne!
  5. All of us have that problem. You either get a custom system made up to clear ground clearance or raise your ride height. :
  6. Exactly, this isn't the Honduhtech forums.
  7. They look out of place on the 34, take them off.
  8. I meant search on SAU for the spark plug, plenty of discussion on them. NGK site is useless. The fuel filters, have a look at both, from memory the Z387 has a 90 degree bend which is suited for the RB20 fuel lines in the engine bay (so you don't have to bend your rubber fuel lines and kink them and block them).
  9. IMO it seems like it's a load of bs that the cops like to feed to us because they think we will accept anything from their fat mouths. I've checked the VicRoads standards documents and what the cops usually write down for a "too stiff" defect is "Suspension does not retain 2/3 travel". Which imo is utter bs. Firstly, the suspension most likely would have 2/3s of it's travel compared to the stock shocks, it's just the dampening rate or mainly the spring rates are higher which make it "stiff" BUT I think the travel would still have to be there! Someone please give more details about my theory - Sydneykid? Secondly, the real law about suspension that mentions the "2/3" that cops always use doesn't refer to travel at all. It basically states that any replacement shocks you put in must have at least 2/3s of the distance between the shock and the bumpstop... Hmmm is that the same as travel?? Someone correct me or add info LOL
  10. Also if you searched on the Ryco website you'd know that the fuel filter is Z201.
  11. If you search you'd get the answer easy. Off the top of my head, NGK BCPRE6S ...something like that anyway.
  12. Nope, can't be fixed. Unsafe and illegal.
  13. Interesting you say that and it makes sense. I *think* my RB20 is reasonably healthy given it's still running and nothings changed while I've been giving it a hard time. But I do remember not using it for about a month or so a while back and when I went to start it and this huge puff of blue smoke came out on start up. But since then I have yet to see a mist of blue smoke, I'll assume it's because I drive it at more regular intervals now.
  14. Hey where do you guys in Melbourne get Mobil Delvac? I can't find it anywhere! :
  15. Find out where it's burning oil from before you make any crazy assumptions. Leakdown test will tell you?
  16. Wow those old plugs look f**ked, why is there so much rust. : Good stuff for doing it yourself! I hope you used heat proof paint for the coilpack covers otherwise it will just peel. Also FYI that bar you painted is not a sway bar, it is called a strut tower brace.
  17. I hope you know someone who owns a workshop so you don't have to take too much stuff off... let simple stuff slide
  18. From what I can see, illegal modifications are: Pod filter + FMIC combo, aftermarket ECU, boost controller, catch can if it vents to atmosphere. I'll assume the Philips headlight kit complies to ADR standards so that will pass. The boost guage might be a problem if it's mounted on the A-pillar, so will the steering wheel if any part of it is highly reflective (ie. chrome) and distracts your vision (ie. glare). Also make sure because you don't have the stock gear stick knob, that you have a sticker to indicate your gear patterns. Apart from checking the basics such as lights, wipers, etc, they will usually check your suspension and steering bushes under the car as well, so make sure steering boots or whatever aren't cracked and so forth. They will also check for exhaust leaks and if your engine and gearbox mounts are still in good condition. Someone else might have more information for you.
  19. Of course Type M dont have them, they are only wreckers, they'd only have the stock clear indicators with an amber "bump".

    Fuel

This has been covered so many times it's not funny. They all come from the same refinery anyway...
  21. Hate to say it, but it's a repost. Quite old actually.
  22. LOL is all I can do at that. I drift my RB20 and no, it sucks, even my old CA18 Silvia had more torque down-low to mid which is where you most need it for drifting IMO. Apart from being annoying on the track, it's also annoying on the street as well, have to redline it just to take off from the lights at a reasonable rate. I don't think anyone started bagging R33s in this thread but you straight out started to bag R32s just cause you felt like it in an unrelated topic. So because you've let your thoughts free, so will I even though they will be offensive. Sorry but my interpretation is that whale is in reference to the whale-like appearance (small factor being weight). I knew the whales were much better value than the 32s when I bought my "ugly poo", but I wouldn't be able to live with the fact that when I stare at my car I see a whale on wheels. Ugly FAT things they are. But hey this is just my opinion and it shouldn't matter to you. You know that is always in my mind when I think of R33s but you don't see me boasting around and bagging other models in any old unrelated topic with no mention of of it. We all love Skylines, we should learn to be more opened minded and tolerant of other people's opinions/tastes, control yourselves guys.
  23. LOL same here, when I saw that pic I was like, "Is that aftermarket, looks like a stock shitter". So someone care to give more details about that brand.... please.
  24. Are you sure the buzzing isn't interference from the car's electrical system?
  25. LOL Please tape that for us if you do end up trying that. Maybe try it when it's packed like after work times as well. And yes Ultimate used to be 7-9 cents more than 91RON but then they brought out "Premium" 95RON so that takes its place and now all the BPs I fill up at are all 10 cents more for Ultimate.
