  1. I fill up with BP when I don't have a 4c discount docket, but when I do, I fill up at Shell. So my 32 is pretty much 50/50 on Ultimate and Optimax and tbh I notice no difference swapping fuels. And from what Sydneykid said, it's probably because it's all the same anyway!
  2. Sorry, no constructive comments here but can you please type in English? I know it's just the net but geez.... n.... lyk..... dem.... Do they still teach the English in schools these days? /end quick rant
  3. Of course that's normal. How can the car have oil pressure when the motors not running? :sorcerer:
  4. Trust PE2 specs from what I remember shows 90dB. But I'll assume this changes once you put an aftermarket dump/front pipe in with a high flow cat. From my experience the PE2 is quite quiet compared to other brands of catbacks. Having said that it still shows the nice RB groal when you hammer it
  5. I mostly agree with JAR. I also like to mention the "random checks" are quite random They always seem to happen on the Skyline, but never on my parents Commo, yes quite random given that I drive my the Como 95% of the week. I know there is nothing we can do but I do believe the stereotype of young male driving turbo import is a hoon is wrong. Though I would like to admit that I drive more "hoon-ish" in my dad's Commo rather than the Skyline (trying to keep the image of Skyline drivers clean, I don't know why I bother with so many dickheads around but). I was also driving the Commo on bald tyres, low pads, and thin rotors (due to lack of funds) for a while, but hey no random checks for a safety hazard to other road users... I'm guessing the number of clicks on my Skyline's handbrake, or pod filter or some other bs they look for was posing a higher risk to other drivers and pedestrians around me.
  6. What about spring rate differences?
  7. My 32 has the Australian VIN engraved into the top of my strut tower, so I'm guessing that's always been the case?
  8. lol no wonder that post seemed odd.
  9. Not sure if it's a good idea, but I'll be doing it But wouldn't it be wiser to put the better tyres, ie. T1R on the front instead, and have the cheaper tyres on the rear. Steering is pretty important imo, you don't want to be understeering in the wet... Having crap tyres on the back is OK, if you know your limits. (BTW: I don't mean "bald hektic skidz tyres", by crap I mean cheaper but decent tyres compared to top stuff)

    Tyre Shops

lol That's crazy. I must look rich or something, unless Hankook increased their prices.

    Tyre Shops

Hey guys, I was just reading through the Tyre thread in the Suspension section and noting the pricing. I'm after some Hankook K-104s and apparently the price you guys got was $160 for 235/45R17. I went shopping around today for tyres and the pricing was no where near what was in that thread. So I'm just wondering where do you go for such good prices? You'd have to know the owner for that price I'm guessing? Thanks
  12. Do you guys know any restriction free mixing software for MP3s? I've always wanted to make a personal mix for my car but the software I got is trial and just generally shit and also I'm a pov ass.
  13. Did the cop say you MUST GO TO EPA, or did he say a "licenced exhaust tester". Because if he is only giving you an EPA for noise then all you have to do is go down to the closest exhaust shop listed on the EPA noise letter and get it noise tested. And if you have to put a silencer in it MUST be welded in to pass, but sometimes if you know the guy some rules are bent . IMO it's probably easier to swap to a stock exhaust for the test. I also don't see how 91RON fuel is going to help with emissions.
  14. I'm guessing its the air pressure release bolt (not sure about the formal name) for the cooling system. Not sure where it is on the RB25s but on the RB20 it is near there and I didn't tighten mine up properly when I flushed out the system and when it got hot you could see small drops of coolant leak out. Check that along with the coolant lines running through the throttle body as someone else suggested.
  15. I think you just solved the puzzle.
  16. Would this suggest it is actually a Taiwanese copy? http://www.autogauge.com.tw/
  17. Sorry for the really noobish question, but does running it in 100% rear mode damage anything? ie. Would it do any damage to run constant 2wd mode for drifting?

  19. I'd love to comment on the smart and safer way you deal with shitheads but I won't seeing as there probably is 14 pages of it and the fact that you probably wouldn't take the hint because of your overly inflated ego. But I am sorry to hear about your incident, lucky you weren't hurt. All the best mate.
  20. As blind_elk said, when you rev it should stay the same. If it goes up then it's overcharging your battery, which is bad.
  21. A quick search would of gotten your answer: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...104405&hl=spark Personally I use BCPR6ES (0.8mm)

  23. Is it leaking vacuum?
  24. Mine does a slight misfire on idle every 5 seconds. Only started happening after I had problems with a coilpack (fixed now). It doesn't misfire once its off idle. I've decided to just ignore the problem, but I wouldn't mind trying something if anyone knows how to fix our problems.
  25. I think the fuel maps are controlled by water temperature, not ambient air temperature...
