  1. Check your VIN in Nissan FAST to find out what it really is. But where your voltmeter is, is where the stock boost guage usually is on a GTS-t.
  2. But what can you do? Complain to the media giants??? Oh noes a couple of hoons complaining by email about discrimination that they can't even prove...
  3. I'm not going to even bother to give a thoughtful response to that comment... since the original comment was most likely thoughtless.
  4. Hey, blink_elk was suggesting that people who get pulled over are hoons who do activities which "attract" the cops. I was just merely pointing out if he believes that he's living in a dreamworld. And if you knew anything about me, you'd know I drive slower and calmer in my Skyline than in my dad's Commo for 2 reasons. 1. To try and keep the image of the Skyline driver not being a hoon (But not sure why I bother these days, every second Skyline driver seems to be a dickhead) 2. Fuel. And maybe you didn't read my whole post since I did meantion that I wasn't whinging about the defect because I know I was in the wrong. That's supposedly fixed up now but my car still looks low due to the front of my car being higher - makes the ass look dumped.
  5. Yes they have the a boost guage in the instrument cluster if it's a turbo.
  6. Coilpacks? Need to know more details.
  7. OK, I'm not sure what sort of activities are good for attracting police. Apparently accelerating normally up to the speed limit attracts cops. Oh and my most recent activity was fully hanging it sideways out of a local side street onto an on-coming TMU car. Right......... All I did was turn out of my local street to which a TMU car was heading towards me. As soon as he saw my attractive activity of simply turning my vehicle he did a swift U-turn in front of 3 cars with no signals or disco lights to come after me. When he caught up to me he didn't even bother with the "RANDOM" license check, just got straight to the point, "Your car looks a bit low." This post isn't a whinge because I knowingly drove an unrwc vehicle but I don't like it when others assume we do this and that, your a hoon that's why the cops came after you, oh I'm so sensible bs. I'm sorry but this is the real world, police don't leave you alone because you're driving normally, if they see something that can add to their quota (which apparently doesnt exist ) they will come after it. Quit living in your I'm so sensible that cops don't trouble me and everyone else is a hoon dreamworld. Sorry but I got a bit offended.
  8. And I bet that's all he had to do. No license suspension or anything.
  9. You have to make sure the multimeter contacts are contacting the pins on the coilpack properly. During the time I went to apply the multimeter contact onto the pins the value on the multimeter was flucuating but once it made a clean contact it stayed on one value.
  10. No you take the coilpacks out of the car and simply use the multimeter on it.
  11. Your local Nissan dealer will have them. Probably not in stock but they will get them in the next day.
  12. Damn it!! If only you brought this out say a couple of months back. I spent 450 on a brand new Koyo stock replacement radiator for my 32. This is such a great deal. GRRR!!
  13. Check out the For Sale section - http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...hp?showforum=56 BTW: There is no such thing as a M Spec R33 or R32 for that matter. It's called a Type M. The only M Specs are on R34s
  14. Batteries are batteries. You can get any that meets the minimum power requirements for your car. Find out how many Cold Cranking Amps (CCA) the stock battery has and when you buy your new battery make sure it at least meets that. Most of the time you'll get a higher rating one anyway.
  15. What is there is understand? According to EPA Victorian rules: You may only have 1 intake modification. You may have taken my post too literally, when I said keep the POD and get rid of the FMIC. Most people to clear defects just get a stock airbox to replace the pod to reduce down the induction mod count back to 1. Basically it was a joke because I don't understand why people install pods without heatshields over a perfectly fine airbox which is shielded against heatsoak, but that's a totally different issue. And since you asked about stock SMIC, well you answered it yourself, stock SMIC. If it is a stock item that came on the car from the factory is that a modification? No. EDIT: I might also add because there is a lot of misleading information on about this shielded pod/cold air intake pipe etc. You can cover the pod as much as possible, hide it behind the front bar, whatever, but at the end of the day it is a modification. OK, simple clear English, shielding your pod filter WILL NOT make your car legal if you have a FMIC (again because the pod is an extra modification).
  16. LOL RB20 has more torque than SR20? I'm sorry but as an owner, the RB20 has hardly any torque.
  17. Not going to bother reading most of the above posts because most seem misleading. Here is the EPA rule in Victoria: 1 Induction modification ONLY! In effect that means either have your POD and get rid of the FMIC... or the otherway around. <_< If you decide to go the POD way, your filter element must be of paper type, oil based filters are not permitted. BOV must not vent to the atmosphere, must be recirlculating due to emissions. That's pretty much the basic rules (for Victoria).
  18. I have never owned or driven a non-turbo import... I don't think I would want to either after owning 2 turbos (Silvia, Skyline). I wouldn't have it any otherway!
  19. http://www.4wheelsfast.com/air_flow_meter_pinout.html Google is your friend...
  20. Sorry if this comes out the wrong way but too many people here own these cars for the wrong reasons. Overly concerned about the "uleh" noises it should/shouldn't make. TBH you should be more concerned about what is best for your car's operation/performance. But having said that everyone has their own interests and who am I to govern that.
  21. You should probably look into the fuel supply before going further. ie. Fuel pump, injecters, possible ECU remap.
  22. Yer I got a set of 17s. PM me if you still need them.
  23. Any Dexron type III automatic transmission fluid will be fine.
  24. Yes you should. CBF reading it tbh because of the lack of paragraphs.
  25. 100mm is the ride height limit, not 110mm.
