Hey guys, I have 2 broken studs on the exhaust side of the block (exhaust manifold, etc) and was wondering if anyone knows of a call out service where someone comes to your house to take out the broken stud and puts in the new one? I would do it myself but I don't have the tools or time to. Thanks for your help in advanced. EDIT: The exhaust manifold and turbo are already off

I go directly to Nissan for all my parts. Reasonable pricing imo for genuine parts. Recently did my rockercover gasket for my RB20. If I remember right the rockercover gaskets and halfmoon rubber seals were a total of 70 bucks and for 20 washers was 40 bucks. Good luck

How The Hell Do You Remove The Rear Seats In An 32
ToF replied to Civicboy's topic in Exterior & Interior Styling
My 32 seats were a bitch to get off and put back in. You have to pull the bottom part off first, there should be 2 clips that will just come out with some force. Then there should be 2 bolts holding the lower part of the back part on. Undo them and then just lift the back part up. Sounds easy but for some reason my clips and other parts didnt line up exactly, really annoying. -
Painting The "skyline" Bit On The Back/ Rims 4 Car

OMG That GTR is so hot!!! Excuse me while I clean myself up. -
You do know there is a forum for exactly this? If you still can't find it here is the direct link: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...hp?showforum=13 You could also try your local state/territory forum.

Take out your parker bulbs and compare the power rating or amps to your new blinker bulbs, if they are the same then as you said it would simply be a job of wiring them up.
-
As topic suggests I need the wiring loom from the ignitor module to the coilpacks for the RB20. Needs to be in good condition as I don't want the plugs to all crack on the inside like my old one. Someone from Melbourne preferably. Thanks

Heavy Steering After Doing Donuts
ToF replied to cogs's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
No idea about your problem but I highly doubt your power steering problems are related to your speedo as if you remember your steering wheel was always easy to turn while stationary when it worked. -
IMO If you want to go pod, you should have a heatshield otherwise it will just suck in hot air and just be useless. My car came with a HKS pod and they are well known for the worst filtering so I just bought a stock airbox and run a Ryco panel filter. No difference at all just no induction noises.

Help, Need To Borrow R32 Airbox Next Week
ToF replied to Drift R's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
R32 airbox should be around 100-130 from import wreckers. To be honest having a pod without it being shielded and blocked off from the rest of the engine bay is probably worse in terms of performance, hence I bought the airbox for good. -
Disconnect the battery, press the brake pedal to drain all the remaining power. Maybe leave it for a while then just hook the battery back up. And I've been using Optimax since they went out of Ultimate and to be honest there is no difference at all imo.

Thanks blind_elk. I guess I'll just clean them all out and spray good'ol WD40 in and see how long it lasts. Don't have money for splitfires at the moment. I also broke one of the coilpack wire connections because it was so brittle but it seems it is still working even with less plastic insulating inside the plug between the 3 pins.... Oh well.
-
Update: OK I tried to have a look again by pulling out the coilpack, I only had to pull it off a couple off centimetres and the sparks were already flying to the side (very high) :S So I'm assuming this means the spark was going away from the spark plug. So I tried to put electrical tape around some areas... didn't work. Then I gave up and decided to try WD40 into the coilpack. And now for some reason it works! Happy, but still angry because I need a permanent fix before I put it all back together and I have no idea where to begin Would really appreciate it if someone could let me know the exact problem so I can fix it properly. Thanks guys.

Yer I had the compression tested when I got this car which was only a bit over a month. The thing is it was working fine before I fixed the rocker cover gaskets - but I'm sure I haven't done any damage.
-
After I replaced my rocker cover gaskets I started the car and it was on 5 cylinders so I thought I might have accidently knocked off one of the coilpack cables loose. But to my suprise all were on properly but I reseated them anyway but still no luck. Today I decided to check the coilpacks and it seems the 3rd cylinder doesn't do anything but the actual coilpack sparks when off. So I tried to swap coilpack #3 with #1 (knew was working) and to my suprise the same thing happened. Therefore ALL my coilpacks are WORKING! The question is if all my coilpacks are working why is it that the 3rd cylinder won't fire? I took out the spark plug in the 3rd cylinder to check and that was fine. So that leaves the ignitor pack which i just noticed has a crack on the top. Would that crack be affecting it at all??

It is internal. Seems to be an easy job, although I have not done this myself.
-
Probably best if you post this in the state/region forum.
-
So anyone suggest I follow xr8eater's idea of using gasket sealer? And did you mean to use the gasket sealer after I mount the rocker cover down and screw it in, like to seal the outside???
-
Yer I've followed the manuals sequence for the screws. I'm going to buy new washers now and try again.
-
No one???? It seems the new gasket is still in good condition but is leaking near the back (towards the firewall) and on the sides which are facing down more respectively for each rocker cover.
-
What about for the front of the car please. Thanks
-
General price range I would say is anywhere between $10,000 to $14,000 for a good condition stocker.
-
Oh shit, I just read the post from 3lit3 32 again... "I would also recommend getting new rocker cover bolt rubbers as this will help the screws all pull down evenly. They have a flat side underneath that stops when the thread runs out, if the seal is squashed, it won't hold the cover down properly." Does this mean I should undo the screws until the washers are in original standing state (not squished)???
