  1. Quick bump, I've decided I will pull the CAS off and have a look. How do you actually check if the idler or tensioners are OK?

You know I'm actually against many of the defect laws as many other car enthusiasts are for the same reasons as you, but you don't hear me complaining because the law is the law. It's as simple as that, get over it. No government is going to change the current laws related to defects so I have no idea why you are whinging and blaming a political party for it. Also what new defect laws are you talking about? ......None, exactly, it's always been the same ones. And you know I really find it funny that you mention the fine for having a defect because: 1. If you had modified your vehicle legally, you wouldn't have received the fine in the first place. (All in your control) 2. In my time of owning imports, I have only had 3 defects, all of which due to my attitude I did NOT receive the $173 fine or whatever you are suppose to get for driving a defective vehicle. Also I might as well point out, instead of fighting the system you can't change and then whinging and blaming everyone else but yourself, I decided to make my car as legal as possible. And you know what? It's possible and it paid off, the last 2 times I've been pulled over and inspected I got off scott free. One of those times was even on Chapel St of all places. (No I wasn't doing laps, I had a valid reason for being on that street) Sorry just thought I'd throw my 2 cents in.

Yep, myself for driving a vehicle with defective items, common sense suggests that. Although there may be others who believe the Police or the government are to blame for them breaking the law, I say good for them!

Hahaha I notice a huge trend here. All car enthusiasts hate Bracks and love Libs. It's like they blame their traffic fines and so fourth on Bracks.
  11. LOL big no no!
  12. Certainly does look "exotic supercarish". Looks hot!
  13. Sorry not a fan of the "flouro" blue, other than that, nice.
  14. Simple solution. Touch your hand or any body part on any metal part of your car then discharge yourself. By that I mean put your foot on the ground.
  15. The EVO front looks like a Veilside kit gone wrong.... more wrong than they usually are... that's pretty wrong. STI front looks good but the shape of the body makes it look like a CRX, very similar to a shopping trolley. I hope it's just the angle of the pic that makes it look like that.
  16. lol you just answered your own question.
  17. No idea but judging from their Delvac pricing it wont be cheap. Oh well, I guess I'll have to fork out the money, unless there is something better than Delvac for 70 bucks?
  18. Thanks mate.
  19. Thanks guys, good stuff so far! I'm down the Frankston way so for the moment I'll probably only try out DT Panels, can I have an address please ABuSD?
  20. Hey guys, Hypothetical case here.... A person backed into my car, but thing is my front bar was already damaged, they don't know that. Basically I want a list of reputable or good bodywork places that you guys actually trust with your car. I just want to get about 2 - 3 quotes. I don't wanna go with the insurance company's dodgy brothers panel beaters so if you guys could list a couple of places you trust I would greatly appreciate it. South-East suburbs if possible. What I'm trying to do is scam insurance slightly. I'm going to ask the place to do a quote for me on a aftermarket front bar instead of a stock 2nd handy with the reason being it was impossible to source a 2nd hand of the exact front bar, so the next cheapest kit up is what I want. Anyone here done something similar and how easy do insurance companies go along with that? Thanks for your help guys!
  21. Well I don't know where to find it here in Vic so I asked these guys: http://www.oilworld.com.au/ I take it they are a "wholesaler" type business?
  22. I knew what I was looking for but it still took me ages! Proves the point that S2 front bar = BA lookalike
  23. lol I wouldn't be pushing my luck to 100km though. Max I'd probably go with the light on is 20km MAX.
  24. Fark! That looks scary. But yer I hate those rims, I call them "muzza rims", every muzza and his dog has them. BTW: Do you have any videos yet?
  25. hahah We all have the same problem. Mine usually bounces on low speeds and it clicks at 110km/h as well! Cbf changing the cable tbh.
