  1. Thanks I'll have a chat to them when I get the car.
  2. I've been waiting for a reply, thinking WTF maybe R35 GTR owners don't use forums much.
  3. I've searched here and on the net and found nothing conclusive (let alone where to buy one). Can we add an iPod cable to ADM 2009 GTRs? From what I can tell USDM you can, UKDM you can't. ADM...?
  4. Thanks for the advice and posts... Now to see if I end up in a GTR again for the third time.
  5. I guess a trip to Sydney now and then won't hurt I haven't unfortunately, I miss that car
  6. They don't do any GTR sales or servicing here in ACT. I was hoping for something aftermarket because I'm looking at one out of warranty. Cheers for the reply though Richard.
  7. Hi All, I'm thinking of buying an R35 and wondering if I have to take it to Sydney to be serviced or not... Be helpful if someone local did them here. Let me know if you know anyone. Cheers, Matt
  8. I think this one is for sale: http://www.carsales.com.au/dealer/details/Nissan-GT-R-2009/AGC-AD-13927584/?Cr=15&sdmvc=1
  9. They don't have to write a report because the theory is what is wrong about ensuring a car is roadworthy? Ambiguous? Defect it and let the owner find out if it should have been! Good luck with it. Last time I was defected the cop was a real prick about it, I was idling through a roundabout in 3rd minding my own business. I was polite but he certainly wasn't, torch in the car and face asking me what things are doing in the car, etc. This was ACT. Most of the time cops are polite but you remember the bad ones, especially if they give you a defect. Time before that was a vehicle inspector in a car park! Should have just driven off.
  10. Exactly. Very frustrating. This is a f**king joke, here I was naively thinking rego standards and subsequent defects were for CTP, so states only had an interest in vehicles registered under their own such arrangement. But nope, they're pricks for the sake of it. Awesome.
  11. God that sucks. I can't believe they can do this, I've never heard of it before. How can another state's defect possibly matter? I have another car registered in NSW hoping to avoid this in ACT, does it work the other way too?
  12. Very cool. Great read. Well done on the build, the car looks sweet.
  13. They'd do it, I'm sure they have far more expensive cars on their books.
  14. Yeah I'm not going write any more, but I think it's reasonably to just say "bad experience". Not saying it's typical or anything but mine didn't go well
  15. I had a bad experience at Autotech. And a good one (a couple times) with Glenn from ESP.
  16. I totally agree with your effort to get someone to recognise facts through evidence, I just think in this case it's shown to be a lost cause. Some people can't admit they're wrong and won't change their mind. They prefer to pick a side of politics and just go with it, usually parroting what they hear/read.
  17. Aaaand we have ad hominem. Daniel, I would leave it if I were you. Also, Australias are in debt up their eyeballs, but Australian Government debt is very low (but high when you consider off balance sheet risk - the banks).
  18. To your work...?
  19. We actually have lower than you think, to the point where it's a problem: http://www.theaustralian.com.au/national-affairs/treasury/productivity-gap-holding-back-growth-as-survey-ranks-australia-second-last/story-fn59nsif-1226439881599 Second worst in 51 countries (although improved recently). I agree we have been lucky. I agree we might be in for a rough ride. I certainly am not naive enough to blame it on the current Government. The problem is structural and began at the end of the Keating Government. We rode a private debt bubble that Howard took credit for (and helped stimulate through first home buyers and tax reform), which is now deflating... Foreign debt grew nearly 400% under Howard and pumped primarily into housing (disgusting waste). Mining is not going to carry us on as originally expected and funnily enough you now hear Treasury hoping housing will provide the demand! Anyway none of this is relevant to the thread.
  20. I can't remember sorry, I didn't even know it had disappeared. It looked like really good value. Definitely a buyers market on 996s. They sit around for ages.
  21. Nah that GT2 you're thinking of is still at the dealer's I think? It was a Turbo, automatic.
  22. Thanks Aaron, the person at Pickles I spoke to thought the 996 wouldn't go! I though they were after $120k? They are a hard car to sell but it was a nice one.
  23. Ironically, Wardski who used sarcasm to accuse SS8 of being brainwashed or a Gillard-lover - simply for pointing out a few facts - is the one sprouting stuff that could come from right out of Tony Abbott's mouth. Or more likely the usual lowbrow press.
  24. Hey do you know what the 996 Porsche Turbo with 8k kms on it went for? And the F360? I'm guessing the Porsche could have been the one that didn't go given what they wanted for it...
  25. Gaillardia is a flower LOL
