  1. Tried cleaning the ACC section at back of the inlet manifold? I did that and its amazing the amount of gunk comes out. mine runs so much better, and holds idle.
  2. doesn't the ACC control the idle and what not? i thought the valve under inlet (cold start valve) controls the initial start up and warm up period? still new, so correct me if im wrong.
  3. PM'd Mate,
  4. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/412842-wanted-r33-driver-side-window-assembly/ didn't realise this thread here, needed R33 window motor as per topic ^^
  5. cleaned the AFM, installed catch can and a FMIC. runs soooo much better now. still after a big rev idle will drop to 500 and bounce back to 900 and sit there. cold starts still a hassle, time to clean the cold start valve thingy under manifold???
  6. Trying to located a window assembly. Mines missing the motor so the window just falls down. also 2 wires from the relay are cut. assuming they go to the motor? green and blue wires i think. Just after something that is as complete as it can get. its 93 S1 R33. Im hoping around the $150 mark if possible. ebay have a few motors for $100 mark, this forum has a couple on the "motherland" but rather try stay local. thanks
  7. will do, notice i put S2 instead of S1. 1993 S1 R33. first of the R33?
  8. can you explain what to "look for" , i had them out when i changed plugs. it had a nasty miss when boost kicked it. new plugs gap'd correctly fixed that.
  9. Catch can has been bought, ive noticed a little oil in intake and pipes for cooler. I was thinking when its sitting there idle a little oil gets in, got to hit the gas and the oil has cover plugs slightly? is that possible? On a weird note, turning the AC on removes this issue though it only bumps idle to 1050ish. enough to pass "flat spot".. its how ive been driving ATM otherwise it feels like it will conk out, or splutter when i go to take off. will the AFM cause the bad cold start? im assuming not
  10. So im new here, and to Skylines in general. Not sure if this the right section, but here goes. Quick run down on car, 1993 S2 R33 RB25DET manual Pod Filter 3" cat back exhaust rest is stock. Problem is. its very hard to start first thing of the day, sorta like a carby car you gotta hold the throttle while cranking. once it kicks in the revs will jump to around 1200 till warm. rest of day its 1 crank start.. weird. Once warm the idle drops to 900, all seems sweet. Till you touch the throttle slightly, the revs drop and you can actually make the car stall by doing this. press throttle slightly more and it will spring to life, sorta feels like a flat spot from 900-1000?. if you give it a slight rev to say 3-4k and back off the revs will drop to 500ish and then bounce back too 900 and hunt around the 750-950 mark. couple small revs to "clear it out" and she idles fine at 900. Now before this the idle was hunting around the 500-900 mark, i pulled the ACC assembly out as per the DIY on here. cleaned it all, followed the idle reset guide and waaam, the idle is great at a solid 900. but then it came back Im at a loss to what to check next? im thinking give the AFM a clean as per the guide on here, Also curious if coil packs will cause such a issue? Any help is appreciated, or links, guides, directions ect. Dan
  11. Thats fine Bud, Show me a inbox on what you have, how much and some pics possibly. Go from there. Thanks Skid
  12. Hi all Bought a 1993/4? R33 rather cheaper this last week, nothing fancy, never had one before. figured it something new to play with? Anyway she is rather rough cosmetic wise, so im chasing a few parts. If anyone can help me out, point me in direction of good shops up north, or people with said parts ill highly appreciate it. In no particular order, -Drivers seat, take passenger seat if you wont seperate. -Carpet -Drivers side window regulator -Reccomendation on brake pads front and rear. Street driven. no tracking is in future. cheaper better but not so cheap they fail in 2 weeks. -Door locks and key, or somewhere i can buy new? aftermarket? -Possibly a FMIC and piping, someone ghetto'd up a side mount and my tyre touchs piping on lock. good excuse to go FMIC? haha -also after a set of 17's with usable tyres, nothing fancy, just usable. and legal tread. Hunted down a few parts on Gumtree, currently work that out. Ebay is great i guess, rather go local. can view parts. Now im off to find whats the recomended oils and fluids and stuff for a once over pic of my 2 toys, laters
