  1. Was that under the new scheme? Or 15 year rule? Cause under SEVS it does only take a day or so to get the vehicle ready, but you have a mountain of paperwork that needs to be done, then when you submit it they take a week to get back to you
  2. Yeah just got off the phone then, apparently the reference number for the mirrors had been used on a previous vehicle as a result they sent it back.
  3. My car also became ready - last week, the paperwork was submitted over the web, the current time for it to get cleared is 5 working days, however it fluctuates a fair bit (up to 14 etc). Anyhow yesterday i got a phonecall from the compliance workshop, the government asked about the mirrors or some such crap, took about 2 seconds to alter the form to answer their question but now its another 5 day wait. (Why they dont actually pick up the phone when they have questions is beyond me) So i guess the answer to your question is about 6 days. (Once the car gets the all clear it takes another day for the compliance plate to arrive). Hope that helps and you dont get stuffed around like i did
  4. Hmm... might come have a look at it in a couple of weeks...
  5. 8 times!! Ive never been pulled over, not even for an RBT.... Im able to keep WA rego for the full 12 months, its just when that runs out i may have issues.
  6. Hey i'm interested in the outer section of the steering wheel, mine came with all this grip string wrapped around it that looks tacky.
  7. Slidewize imports are pretty good, ive ordered some Buddy Club QFs off them.
  8. Well, the time has come to move back to NSW, trouble is my car is all nice and legal over here in WA, need to know what i need to change on it to make it legal in NSW. Any one got any good links etc? The car has the following things that may be a problem: Big Exhaust (but < 90db) Pod filters (I hear these need just to be sealed off to make them legal???) Power FC/Boost Controller Anyone tell me how they've made them legal? Engineers report required? etc Cheers
  9. Have a HKS EVC3 for sale PM if interested
  10. Hey mate, Sent you a PM...
  11. Hey guys, Everything in the original post is available, if it gets sold i'll edit the original post and then remove it after a couple of days to clean things up. Please provide email addresses if you wish pics. Thanks
  12. Hey Riaz, Yeah ive decided to give HBF the arse, they recommended a bloke to do the evaluation, he didn't really have an idea even when i explained about it being a limited edition version of the GTR ($30-35G). As for dodging them up the whole thing is legit. I have a 60%NCB and its all in my name, when i first was after an import a few years back the insurance place said to get my own bonus up as they said that those cars (skylines, zx's etc) were flagged and the accidents investigated. As for getting the N1, was browsing the japanese auctions for about 4 months looking for a grade 4 or better GTR V-spec in black with a few "compliance friendly" mods when an N1 popped up, few phone calls and i put the bid in but didn't expect to get it, in the end got it for less than some of the standard v-specs i'd been bidding on. Whats better is it turns up with a huge stainless turbo back exhaust, stainless manifold, HID lights and a few other goodies that weren't on the auction sheet, made getting it complied more tricky though.
  13. Hey, Dave, if you can include the wait time that would be good. Cheers

  15. Just Cars are probably the best for highly modified cars, the excesses are the only thing that makes claims expensive. However, they state on the policy that all modifications must be legal and road worthy. So an illegal mod or one that you dont have a permit for could give them grounds to refuse insurance, then you get into the whole legal battle of proving the illegal modification didn't cause the accident.
  16. Ive got a mines black face set, excellent condition, check the for sale section
  17. The short answer is yes, but i guess it depends on how good your lawyer is....
  18. Well famous got back by email... They said just to try just cars or young and cool... looks like just cars will win out.
  19. Well just got off the phone with Just Cars, seems pretty good. Agreed Value: $44000 If i run into a tree: $2000 excess If the car is stolen: $2700 excess If the wheels are damaged: Extra $1000 Waiting for Famous to get back to me.
  20. Hey, well it hasn't gotten to HBF yet, still waiting to get the car finished, may have issues with the modifications. Just got a quote from just cars, they're actually cheaper, $1700 to insure for $40000. I'd probably up that amount to say $55000 if they're going to include the mods. ANyhow the excess is the thing. Standard: $300 Under 25: $300, Policy excess: $1000, mags: $700, Mods: $400, Theft: $1000. Means if my rims and tyres were stolen (value $5000 max), then i'm up for $3700 in excesses plus take a hit for my NCB.. i might give them a call and get some more info
  21. You serious? Cause the plan is to fit a Power FC. It doesn't matter much as i'll be over east in a couple of months and HBF wont insure you over there so will have to change policies. I sent a quote to Just Cars telling them the deal, see what they offer regarding insurance
