  1. prospector, i saw your car at the servo across from the subaru dealership in warragul on friday night.
  2. the day i got my car i scraped the front, exhaust and then the back reversing out. now ive learnt how to go about it. drive on a big angle. its all good.
  3. brake shudder is something nearly every ford gets. my dads got a 95fairmont, and ive got a 97 futura, both get brake shudder. get in a taxi and itll probably have brake shudder. its the worst thing about fords.
  4. to put it bluntly. you dont earn enough to pay a car loan and run it 120dollars a week? youll spend that on petrol!!
  5. even if you can afford to buy the car, can you afford to maintain it? that seems to be the statement echoed by everyone on these forums. i know dudes on apprenticeships and traineeships with hot cars(fto's skylines etc) and after paying their loan and filling up the tank, they dont have much money for anything else. and dont say your parents will take care of it, thats just being a spoilt little sh't. if YOU cant afford the initial cost and maintenance, dont even bother, it will be too much of a burden. tyres, fuel, service, oils, stuff that breaks etc etc, it all adds up sooooo quick. as people have said before, if you want an import, get an s13 NA, it may not blow people away, but youll like having a bit of extra cash to party, wine and dine chicks, waste on looking fresh. everything ive said has been repeated several times in all the threads but its the truth oh and i am 20 and dont drive a skyline, i drive a 97 futura with xr8 rims and suspension. i LOVE this car right now. parts are easy to find, doesnt cost much to run but is still heaps of fun. before i got this car iwas looking at r32's and so glad i didnt get one at this stage in my life as i want to spend cash on more than my car.
  6. i was driving down a street near my house during summer last year and there was a cat sniffing something in the middle of the road. i slowed right down and went to the left of it and as soon as i got within 5feet, it ran straight under my car and out the other side. it was nuts!!! that cat had super powers
  7. everything stated in this thread, insurance, running costs etc etc is the reason why im not getting a skyline just yet.
  8. there was mention of the nsw speed restrictions for P platers. isnt that 80kmh max? i live in victoria, but can some people from nsw comment on how this works? wouldnt it discourage p platers from driving? do you take your P plates down to drive at normal speed?
  9. just a question, all these places seem(i might be wrong) to be in qld, anyone in melbs provide a service like this? being from victoria myself, itd make it ALOT easier. thanks in advance
  10. heaps sketchy if your car isnt insured past 11pm. what if you're at your girlfriends, parked out the front of a cafe, club etc. i do alot of driving at this time( i dont drink) so that wouldnt suit me at all.
  11. hey everyone, ive been lurking on this site for a week or so, just soaking in the info. im just wondering if someone has, or knows where to find a list of common r32 problems like rust, engine problems etc etc. its time to upgrade my car and i like the look of r32's and may be able to get one for a nice price. just need a guide as to what to look at. thanks HEAPS(looking at coupe, manual turbo.)
