  1. Ok, I'll tell you my story. This is true, no bs. I got my r33 gtst when I was 18. I had only learnt to drive on auto, and never drove manual in my whole life. I knew the thoery. My car had a twin plate, as I was told by my agent. The first time I ever drove manual was when I picked my car up from the dock, drove it to compliance, then drove it to inspection with rta. Then I drove it ever since then. I drove it fine from the start. No bullshit. I guess it all depends how coordinated you are. My gf (dumb bitch) can't even drive a manual lancer after trying about 15 times.
  2. someonestolecc, I've sent you a pm
  3. bump - willing to sell them in pairs
  4. Bump - willing to sell them in pairs
  5. Stockies anyone? - If price is the issue, talk to me about it.
  6. I'm interested in the dump and front pipe, and ahmed is interested in the catback. So how about we split it. pm me how much you want, and i'll consider the price. I'm located in sydney.
  7. this problem was happening with my soarer, and I realised that it was my amp power wire had got melted over the back seat, and was shorting out. I guess try to look at all obvious things - check wiring, batt terminals etc
  8. nah, I haven't called any other places, but just going from what other people ahve said above. I remember sydneykid saying somewhere that gearbox rebuilds for 1st, 2nd, 3rd synchros, bearings and seals would cost about $500
  9. Gday Fellars Wrecking a sI r33 gtst. The car has been well maintained, with 90000 ks on the clock. All running bits are available and undamaged. That is, engine, turbo, box, radiator, etc. full brake set in excellent condition. All interior is available and in excellent condition. For the exterior: The bonnet is bent, but repairable - offers right guard right door right rear 1/4 panel boot lid with sII spoiler rear bar roof skin The shell itself is rolling, and it is in pretty good condition. The insurance company just decided to write it off, because it is an import and too much trouble to source the parts etc. and also, the chasis is slightly bent. Perfect for a drag or track car buildup. reasonable offers Anything not mentioned as sold is available, like I said, the whole car is still here. I'll write down parts as I sell them, so If they're not written down, I still have them Stuff sold so far Anything any of you need, just ask, In regards to price, my price range is just the price that this stuff normally goes for, PLEASE CONTACT ME VIA PHONE - 0422 082 770 (IAN). DO NOT REPLY VIA PM
  10. I've got some more points to consider. As if the r33gtst is not heavy enough, the r34 is much heavier. Although the engine puts out more power, the r34 gtt would be less agile in handling due to the weight. Also, in regards to looks, the look is very personal. Personally, I like slightly squarer cars. That's why I picked the skyline over the supra. But personally (I'm not knocking anyone elses car, i'm just saying for me) I prefer the slightly rounder shap[e of the 33 over the 34.
  11. I have a set of immaculate condition r33 gtst wheels for sale 16 x 6.5". These wheels have no guttering on them at all. Looking around 250 ono as these wheels are immaculate. I'm located in sydney.
  12. thanks btw
  13. Can someone with an r33 gtr please email me a closeup picture of their tyreplacard? [email protected]
  14. Can someone else confirm that it actually is 1200? because I remember reading other posts on here, that people say it's around 1850 depending on what's done. For 1850, i'd go off and get something else, but for 1200, definitely a highflow. If someone else can confirm that GCG does it for 1200, I might go get it done.
  15. ok, twin plates normally make a rattling noise. Is that what you're talking about? that is, when you leave the clutch in. That is the two plates tapping against each other. In regards to the squeak, Mine used to squeek before, It was as simple as a squeeky pedal. hehehe, I thought it was the thrust bearing too. That is, until my mechanic took a can of lub and sprayed it inside the car, on the pivot. Fixed.
  16. 1. Spark plug cover and timing belt cover I want to paint my spark plug cover and timing belt cover, as they are getting really dirty and gay. My initial thoughts was to use the vht caliper, flameproof, or high temp paint, however, from reading the can, it appears to only be for spraying on metal. I believe that normal paint is good for up to 70 degrees celsius. What should I spray the plug and timing belt covers with? 2. cam covers Some of you may call them rocker covers, but skylines don't have rockers, so they're cam covers. anyways, what I was wondering was, can I just unbolt them, spray them, then bolt them back on? Is there anything I need to know? like how tight to put the bolts back on? is the torque specific and very important?
  17. damn, i'd take all that stuff, but i'm in suydney too.
  18. yeah, I did, and he said that this was what he could do. he said 880 if I bring the box in, 1100 if I give them the car.
  19. it goes off when it is exposed to water. when you say the bottle is open, I asusme you mean, you've opened it, but put the lid back on tight. It should be fine.
  20. ok, i'll discuss, it's called search
  21. wreckhead I spoke to anthony and he quoted me 880 for 1,2,3 synchros, bearings and seals. I don't really think that this is a good price. Fellars, can anyone get me a better price in sydney?
  22. Would someone please be able to post a pic of the stock camber adjusters at the rear of a 33? thanks
  23. Sorry fellars if this has been covered before, but can someone post a pic of how to adjust the camber on the stock rear susp parts? Also, what is the name of the whiteline parts that allow for more camber adjustment at the rear, and the part for the front of the car?
