  1. ok, i've seen those tutorial vids too. And it's a load of crap how everyone suddenly goes off using all these terms that the japs use, such as 'e brake' lol, like WTF? i think you mean handbrake? I agree that these habibs that do fully sick schidds around the corner are not drifting. The idea with drift is put the wheels out of traction while still being in control. I notice that some of you guys reckon that it is not a drift if you are not pointing out before the corner. It is a much safer way to learn drifting by just bringing the back out once in the corner, and working with that first. it gives you an idea of countersteering to regain control. I started like that in the rain. Much less chance of spinning your whole car around or mounting the kerb.
  2. :slap: it's definitely very interesting. We only achieve great things by trying. Very recently, all these gtsts have been pulling into the 13s and 12s on standard turbos, and even the 11s with nos. MANWHOR3 mate, you're a top bloke for trying. I hope you just be very very careful, and that your friend does not hurt himself.
  3. interesting. Have you run a dyno test to see the gain in rwkw?
  4. Same thing happened to a friend of mine. Seriously fellars, there is no reason why he should know that you are following him. I mean if he were driving on the street, there would be all sorts of normal cars on the road. like lancers, falcadores, magnas.... if it was a skyline following, i'd understand. Everytime anyone chases him, and he gets away, the chances get worse. He will get more intimidated, and be more scared to drive it out. I believe that you have a decent chance to get the car back. If anyone sees it, stay a few cars back. Just watch where it goes. Wait till he stops, then do whatever you have to. With my friend's car, it just so happened that he was followed into a shopping centre carpark. they waited until he went in to buy somehting. While they called people to come quick. When he got back, they had about 5 people on to him. The important thing, is to stay back, don't let him know u r following, and don't let him get away again. sorry if this post was long, but it just ****s me off so bad when some dickhead shit****s do things like this, because we look after our cars so bad, and then to think that it could just be gone tomorrow. ALARMS About alarms, i've got an autowatch immobilised alarm. The siren is backup battery, but the alarm itself isn't. If I pull the battery, the siren will go off until it runs outta battery, then it'll stop. If I plug the batt back in,it will not start until I disarm the alarm. Is this good? If it is, you can pick one up for around $170 and aorund 150$ install. But the thing i'm thinking, is I put it in myself. what use is an alarm, if anyone with a bitta car knowledge can just pull the alarm off from the ignition wiring, and just connect them. Almost all alarm people just put the alarm under the plastic far behind the steering wheel any advice? hope u get the car back mate. I'm in sydney, if i was in brissy, i'd be driving around helping you to find.
  5. I've seen a whole heap of r33 stock rims on sale all over Aust, except for Sydney. I've seen some good ones, in excellent condition, with ok tyres going for around $150. If anyone is willing to sell a set for around this price, or cheaper without tyres, give us a PM.
  6. Everytime I change into 2nd or 3rd, the gear box does a small crunch. Is this normal? Like it is just not smooth to put in.
  7. Heeelllo everyone. I'm currently located in Sydney atm. I own a 97 sII gts-t type M which I got complied last year under the RAWS scheme for 4950 inc gst. This included tyres. My g/f has just bought another skyline, same model, and I was wondering if anyone has seen compliance for a better price? because that seems much too expensive. willing to go to other states.
  8. I've got a sII r33 gts-t type M and I was wondering if it has remote central locking? when I turn the key in the driver's door, it locks and unlocks the passengers door too. I only picked up my car like a week ago and shock horror...no remote on the key. Did my importer lose the remote? or so they not normally come with it? I've seen central locking kits for like $30, and a friend told me that most likely the passenger door has a motor in it already, but the drivers door does not. Please help.
  9. I'm new to the forumns, so please don't laugh at me fellars. hehe. I have heard several stories of jacking up skylines with the standard jack bending the sills, and pushing out the front guard. That is behind the wheels and the front, and in front of the wheels at the back. Is this true? What is the best way to jack up a skyline using the standard jack?
